AGEs formation is enhanced in diabetes and is associated with the development of diabetic complications. AGEs, as an important marker of chronic complications of diabetes mellitus, plays an important role in the development and progression of diabetic nephropathy. In the current review, we discuss mechanisms and the role of AGEs in diabetic nephropathy.展开更多
