[ Method] A total of 103 blood samples were taken from four populations of Hequ Tibetan Mastiff, Qinhai Tibetan Mastiff, Tibetan Spaniel and native dogs of Qinghai. Seven blood protein Iocus(Tf, Po, Sα2, Hb, AIb, Pr and Amy)were investigated by using vertical polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis with discontinuous buffer system. Then the genetic variation during different populations was analyzed. [ Result] Genetic variations were observed in Tf, Sα2 and Po in four populations, others were not polymorphic. There were three alleles at the locus of Tf and Po, two alleles at the loci of Sα2. Effective number of alleles and Nei's average expected heterozygosity were 1. 532 4 and 0.230 3 relatively, all higher in Tibetan Mastiff than other populations. [ Conclusion] Protein locus in blood of Tibetan Mastiff existed in genetic variation.展开更多

The results showed that both freezing and drought induced the decrease in ascorbate content and the increase in dehydro-ascorbate content. The activities of ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and monodehydro-ascorbate reductase (MDAR) were decreased by freezing stress. At the beginning of exposure to air, water loss from detached needles induced the increase in the activities of APX and MDAR. Further water loss turned to decrease the APX and MDAR activities. The activities of dehydro-ascorbate reductase (DHAR) and glutathione reductase (GR) were not sensitive to changes in temperature and water content of the needles. It is concluded that moderate temperature or water stresses may induce the acclimation and increase in the ability of the H2O2 scavenging system, while strong stresses decrease the ability and induce injury of plant tissues. Correlation between ascorbate content and activities of related enzymes and cold tolerance of conifers were also reported.展开更多

Methods The medical records of patients with HAE admitted to Peking Union Medical College Fiospital who had received FFP infusion during 2004 and 2010 were reviewed and PubMed database iFom 1966 to the present were searched using the following key words: hereditary angioedema and fresh frozen plasma. The patient's age, sex, body location of HAE attacks, the dose of FFP infusion, time of beginning to improvenaent, time to complete remission, complication, C 1 inhibitor activity, and outcome were analyzed. Results A total of 13 enrolled patients (7 male and 6 female) received 16 times of FFP infusion, in- cluding 2 patients undergoing FFP infusion in Peking Union Medical College Hospital and 11 patients re- ported in the literature. The mean dosage of FFP infusion was 586±337 mL. Two cases suffered from wors- ening abdominal pain and one case experienced skin rash. Only I patient had no improvement in symptom owing to transfusion related reaction. There was a definite improvement in symptom 49± 19 minutes after beginning FFP infusion. The remission time decreased from 61.7±27.0 hours to 3.3 (2.0, 12.0) hours after FFP infusion. FFP infusion was effective for both type I and type Ⅱ HAE. Conclusion FFP seems to be safe and effective for acute attacks of HAE.展开更多
