Sixty Large White × Landrace primiparous sows were divided into four groups (fifteen sows per group). The control group was fed with basal diet, the others were fed with basal diet supplemented with 0.02%, 0.04% and 0.06% PFA, respectively. Compared with the control, the sows in 0.04% PFA group had higher feed intake during lactation and higher litter weaning weight (P 〈 0.05). At farrowing, glucose level in 0.04% PFA sows was higher than the control and sows in 0.02% PFA had the highest IgG content among the treatments (P 〈 0.05). On day 7 of lactation, serum urea nitrogen contents were lower in response to PFA supplementation compared to the control (P 〈 0.05). At the same time, sows fed the 0.06% PFA diet increased the lysozyme activity (P 〈 0.05). The levels of milk lactose and IgG were increased in 0.02% and 0.04% PFA groups (P 〈 0.05). In conclusion, feeding PFA improved sows and litter performance, serum metabolite concentrations, lgG level and lysozyme activity at postpartum and milk quality.展开更多

Real-time accurate detection means is the key to prevention and control of its spread. This study provided a novel detection strategy for realizing rapid and specific determination of V. parahaemolyticus by labeling its monoclonal antibody (Ab) with quantum dots (QDs). The results showed that the fluorescence of these QDs-Ab bioconjugates was quenched by graphene oxide (GO) to produce a bacteri- um capture probe. And the optimal quenched concentration of GO was 60 ng/ml. When the bacterium capture probe was exposed to the target, green color fluores- cence was turned on by releasing the QDs-Ab due to the antibody antigen combi- nation. The detection limit of V. parahaemolyticus was 104 CFU/ml based on 3 times signal-to-noise ratio. The specificity of the FRET sensor towards V. para- haemolyticus was examined by comparing with controls such as V. splendidus, V. alginolyticus, Edwardsiella tarda and Aeromonas hydrophila with the same condition. The controls couldn't cause obvious fluorescence alteration, while the target resulted in significant fluorescence enhancement. This strategy could be further used as a universal method for any bacterial determination by changing the conjugated antibod- ies in early disease diagnosis. Therefore, the sensor has good potential to expand its application to the early diagnosis and determination of bacteria.展开更多

One hundred and four patients enterring three hospitals up to 12 hours after the onset of definite acute myocardial infarction were randomizely treated with intravenous accelerated streptokinase dose regimen ( 1. 5 million units/30 min) (group A, 47 cases) and conventional dose regimen ( 1. 5 million units/60 min) (group B , 57 casese). The reperfusion rate of infarct-related arteries determined by clinical evidence of reperfusion was 76. 6% (36/47) in group A VS 61. 4% (35/57) in group B. There was significant difference in reperfusion rates among patients within 6 hours after the onset of chest pain : 87. 9% (29/33) in group A VS 67. 4 (29/43) in group B(P<0. 05 ). The incidence of mild bleeding , allergic reaction , hypotension was 12. 8 % ( 6/47 ) , 4. 3 % ( 2/47 ) , 12. 8 ( 6/47 ) respectively in group A vs 21. 1 ( 12/57 ) , 3. 5 (2/57) . 17. 5 % ( 10/57) respectively in group B. Compared to conventional dose regimen, intravenous accelerated streptokinase dose regimen for coronary thrombolysis seems to improve reperfusion rate markedly without increasing adverse events such as bleeding , allergic reaction and hypotension. It suggests that accelerated streptokinase therapy deserves more extensive investigation.展开更多

Potatoes were treated under 90% CO_2 for 18 h, peeled, cut, dipped in 1% ascorbic acid or distilled water for 3 min, packed in polyethylene bags and stored for 12 d at 4 ℃. Non-treated potatoes were used as the control. High CO2 pretreatments ensured maintenance of a high level of CO_2 in headspace of packages containing fresh-cut potatoes. Both the growth of total aerobic bacteria in initial stages of post-cut storage and browning index of the cut surface were lower in high CO_2 treated cut potato. Anti-browning effect of high CO_2 pretreatment was decreased when applied in combination with ascorbic acid. Soluble solids, pH, titratable acidity and flesh firmness of fresh-cut potatoes were not affected by high CO_2 treatment. Therefore, high CO_2 treatment before slicing could be effective method to maintain quality of flesh-cut potatoes.展开更多
