目的调查海南州贵德县1612名健康成人静脉血红细胞(RBC)、血红蛋白(Hb)及血小板计数(PLT)参考值范围及影响因素。方法选取2019年5-11月在海南州贵德县人民医院体检中心进行健康检查的健康成人1612名作为研究对象,采用mindray BC-6000五... 目的调查海南州贵德县1612名健康成人静脉血红细胞(RBC)、血红蛋白(Hb)及血小板计数(PLT)参考值范围及影响因素。方法选取2019年5-11月在海南州贵德县人民医院体检中心进行健康检查的健康成人1612名作为研究对象,采用mindray BC-6000五分类血液分析仪进行静脉血常规测定,并按海拔、性别、民族、年龄进行分组,进行描述和分析。结果男女受检对象RBC参考区间分别为(4.27~6.09)×10^12/L、(3.87~5.24)×10^12/L,Hb参考区间分别为136.18~193.56 g/L、110.75~168.83 g/L,PLT参考区间分别为(77.49~286.03)×10^9/L、(68.53~312.77)×10^9/L。男女RBC、Hb、PLT均值比值,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05);汉族、藏族PLT均值比较,差异有统计学意义(t=3.89,P<0.05);藏族、回族PLT均值比较,差异有统计学意义(t=2.51,P<0.05);各年龄段RBC、Hb、PLT均值比较,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论海南州贵德县高原地区成人静脉血RBC、Hb、PLT数值受高原环境、年龄、性别、民族的影响,需要修订本地的血常规部分参考数值,以适应当地情况。 展开更多

Effect of hypoxia on the blood of large yellow croaker (Pseudosciaena crocea)

It is hypothesized that hypoxia may be partially responsible for the decline of some fish stocks. We evaluated the effect of hypoxia on large yellow croaker (Pseudosciaena crocea). The fish were exposed to three concentrations of dissolved oxygen (DO; 1.5 mg/L and 2.0 mg/L, and 6.5 mg/L control). We collected blood after 6, 12, 24, 48, and 96 h exposure. There was a significant increase in red blood count, hematocrit, hemoglobin concentration, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin in the group exposed to 1.5 mg/L DO after 6 h or 12 h, and a delayed increase (only elevated after 48 h and 96 h) in these indices in the group exposed to 2.0 mg/L DO. Plasma glucose concentrations increased significantly in both hypoxic groups after 24 h. Furthermore, plasma lactate and lactate dehydrogenase activity increased significantly after the first 6 h exposure in both hypoxic groups. Our results suggest that large yellow croakers could not maintain the aerobic pathway and instead use anaerobic metabolism for survival when DO levels fall below 2.0 mg/L. We conclude that the occurrence of hypoxia (<2 mg/L DO) in the East China Sea could cause metabolic stress for large yellow croakers and may be partially responsible for the population decline of this species. 展开更多

Therapeutic efficacy of QS (quinapyramine sulphate) and FCA (Freund's complete adjuvant) combination was studied. The aim of the study was to evaluate therapeutic efficacy of QS using FCA in Trypanosorna congolense infection. GrouPs treated with QS and FCA had parasite disappeared in peripheral circulation 2 days pi, relapse was observed one week later. Effect of treatment on rectal temperature shows no significance (p 〈 0.05), normalization of rectal temperature occurred in QS and FCA treated groups (34.1℃) than untreated (42.8 ℃), QS (37.4 ℃) and FCA (35.92 ℃) treated groups. Mean body weight was significant (p 〈 0.001) in QS and FCA, QS, and FCA groups. Packed cell volume and hemoglobin concentration for untreated groups were lower, but increased in QS, FCA, QS and FCA treated groups, indicating anemia amelioration. White blood cell counted in untreated, QS and FCA treated groups showed no significance (p 〈 0.05), however, there was leukocytosis due to lymphocytosis in QS and FCA treated group (6.79 × 10^3/μl) compared with untreated and other groups. There was comparative decrease in serum liver enzymes in QS and FCA treated group than other groups. Therefore, QS at lower recommended dose with FCA may enhance efficacy of QS in trypanosomiasis. 展开更多

Erythrocyte Fragment Count Predicts Hemolysis in Roller Pumps

Objective: Hemolysis in blood pumps has been measured by various in vitro test methods, in which normalized index of hemolysis (NIH) was established. As NIH is complicated and difficult to calculate, erythrocyte fragment count is proposed in the present study to predict hemolysis in roller pumps. Methods: Five paired in vitro tests were conducted using the POLYSTAN pediatric pump(group A) and COBE pump( group B). Ten whole blood samples (400 ml ) were circled in the roller pump for 16 h. Erythrocyte fragments count and plasma-free hemoglobin (FHb) were measured before pumping and every two hours through circulation after four-hour-pumping. The morphological changes of erythrocyte were observed by scanning electron microscope. Results: The two groups' EFC and FHb levels were increased linearly during a long duration of pumping and linear regression of erythrocyte fragments count and plasma-free hemoglobin were correlated. Conclusion: Erythrocyte fragments count could be used as an index in evaluating the in vitro hemolytic properties of blood pumps. 展开更多

The research aimed to determine the effect of feed supplements of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) leaves, gliricidia (Gliricidia sepeum) leaves and katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) leaves on the hematology of lactating buffalo. Four lactating buffaloes in Kanagarian Pamatang Panjang, Sijunjung district, West Sumatera, Indonesia were studied. The experiment used a Latin square design with four treatments and four replications/block. The treatments were control (without supplementary foliage, A), with cassava leaves (B), with gliricidia leaves (C) and with katuk leaves (D) each at 5 kg/haead/day. The hematology variables measured were erythrocytes and leucocytes counts, as well as levels of hemoglobin and hematocrit. The results showed that supplementary foliage of 5 kg/head/day of cassava, gliricidia or katuk as leaves significantly increased the erythrocytes count and hemoglobin level, but did not affect the number of leucocytes in lactating buffalo. 展开更多

A simple in vivo bioassay suitable for the routine quality control testing of a new erythropoiesis stimulating protein was developed.Subcutaneous administration of the new erythropoiesis stimulating protein to Balb/c mice in a single dose resulted in a dose-dependent increase in the number of circulating reticulocytes.Within the erythropoiesis stimulating protein dose range of 3.125 to 200 ng per mouse,there is a strong linear relationship between the dose and reticulocyte counts in the treated mice.This linear relationship allows us to determine the biological potency of the testing erythropoiesis stimulating protein preparation relative to a reference standard using parallel line assay.Accuracy,precision,dose variation and blood collection time of this method were analyzed in order to choose doses in the linear range that are suitable for setting up a useful,precise,and economical bioassay. 展开更多
