In the performance based navigation(PBN),the flight technical error(FTE)and the navigation system error(NSE)are two main parts of total system error(TSE).The implementation of PBN requires pre-flight predictio...In the performance based navigation(PBN),the flight technical error(FTE)and the navigation system error(NSE)are two main parts of total system error(TSE).The implementation of PBN requires pre-flight prediction and en-route short-term dynamical prediction of TSE.Once the sum of predicted FTE and NSE is greater than the specified PBN value,PBN cannot operate.Thus,it requires accurate modeling and thorough analysis of the two main contributors.Multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)longitudinal flight control system of ARIC model is designed using the linear quadratic Gaussian and loop transfer recovery(LQG/LTR)method,and FTE in symmetrical plane of aircraft is analyzed during the turbulence disturbed approach.The error estimation mapping function of FTE in symmetrical plane and its bound estimation model are proposed based on the singular value theory.The model provides an approach based on the forming mechanism of FTE,rather than the costly flight test and the data fitting.Real-data based simulation validates the theoretical analysis of FTE in symmetrical plane.It also shows that FTE is partially caused by the turbulence fluctuation disturbance when the automatic flight control system(AFCS)is engaged and increases with escalating the environmental turbulence intensity.展开更多

The model inversion is under the hover condition. And the adaptive control law based on the neural network is designed to guarantee the boundedness of tracking error and control signals. Simulation results demonstrate that the nonlinear neural network augmented model inversion can self-adapt to the uncertainty and modeling errors of unmanned helicopters. Hot topics currently being tweeted can quickly become popular within a very short time as a result of retweeting. Gaining an understanding of the retweeting behavior is desirable for a number of tasks such as topic detection, personalized message recommendation, and fake information monitoring and prevention. Interestingly, the propagation of tweets bears some similarity to the spread of infectious diseases. We present a method to model the tweets' spread behavior in microblogs based on the classic Susceptible-Infectious-Susceptible (SIS) epidemic model that was developed in the medical field for the spread of infectious diseases. On the basis of this model, future retweeting trends can be predicted. Our experiments on data obtained from the Chinese micro-blogging website Sina Weibo show that the proposed model has lower predictive error compared to the four commonly used prediction methods.展开更多

The effects of the mixing of wave transport flux residual(Bvl) on the upper ocean is studied through carrying out the control run(CR) and a series of sensitive runs(SR) with ROMS model.In this study,the important role...The effects of the mixing of wave transport flux residual(Bvl) on the upper ocean is studied through carrying out the control run(CR) and a series of sensitive runs(SR) with ROMS model.In this study,the important role of Bvl is revealed by comparing the ocean temperature,statistical analysis of errors and evaluating the mixed layer depth.It is shown that the overestimated SST is improved effectively when the wave-induced mixing is incorporated to the vertical mixing scheme.As can be seen from the vertical structure of temperature 28℃ isotherm changes from 20 min CR to 35 m in SR3,which is more close to the observation.Statistic analysis shows that the root-mean-square errors of the temperature in 10 m are reduced and the correlation between model results and observation data are increased after considering the effect of Bvl.The numerical results of the ocean temperature show improvement in summer and in tropical zones in winter,especially in the strong current regions in summer.In August the mixed layer depth(MLD) which is defined as the depth that the temperature has changed 0.5℃ from the reference depth of 10 m is further analyzed.The simulation results have a close relationship with undetermined coefficient of Bvl,sensitivity studies show that a coefficient about 0.1 is reasonable value in the model.展开更多
Objective To assess the influence of age on the error of estimate (EE) of maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) using sex and population specific-equations in cycle ergometer exercise testing, since estimated VO2 max is ...Objective To assess the influence of age on the error of estimate (EE) of maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) using sex and population specific-equations in cycle ergometer exercise testing, since estimated VO2 max is associated with a substantial EE, often exceeding 20%, possibly due to intrinsic variability of mechanical efficiency. Methods 1850 adults (68% men), aged 18 to 91 years, underwent maximal cycle ergometer cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) was assessed relative to sex and age [younger (18 to 35 years), middle-aged (36 to 60 years) and older (〉 60 years)]. VO2max [mL.(kg.min)-1] was directly measured by assessment of gas exchange and estimated using sex and population specific-equations. Measured and estimated values of VO2max and related EE were compared among the three age- and sex-specific groups. Results Directly measured VO2max of men and women were 29.5 ± 10.5 mL.(kg.min)-1 and 24.2 ± 9.0 mL.(kg·min) -1 (P 〈 0.01). EE [mL·(kg·min)-1] and percent errors (%E) for men and women had similar values, 0.5 ± 3.2 and 0.4 ± 2.9 mL·(kg·min)-1, and -0.8 ± 13.1% and -1.7 ± 15.4% (P 〉 0.05), respectively. EE and %E for each age-group were, respectively, for men: younger = 1.9 ± 4.1 mL·(kg·min)-1 and 3.8 ± 10.5%, middle-aged = 0.6 ± 3.1 mL.(kg·min)-1 and 0.4 ± 10.3%, older = -0.2 ± 2.7 mL·(kg·min) -1 and -4.2 ± 16.6% (P 〈 0.01); and for women: younger = 1.2 ± 3.1 mL.(kg.min)-1 and 2.7 ±10.0%, middle-aged = 0.7 ± 2.8 mL·(kg·min)-1 and 0.5 ± 11.1%, older = -0.8 ± 2.3 mL-(kg·min)-1 and -9.5 ± 22.4% (P 〈 0.01). Conclusion VO2max were underestimated in younger age-groups and were overestimated in older age groups. Age significantly influences the magnitude of the EE of VO2max in both men and women and should be considered when CRF is estimated using population specific equations, rather than directly measured.展开更多

The used model has many input parameters and it has a lot of features, such as parameters simulations with results analysis, unconventional two-dimensional color graph representation capability in order to show more clearly the results. The results of the study have been discussed and reported. The main achievement of this work is the demonstration that the RMS phase error is a valuable figure of merit of phased array systems but it is not sufficient to completely describe the behavior of a real system. Indeed, this work has shown how the phase errors distribution actually affects the performances of the phased arrays antennas.展开更多

Firstly, the cyclical components of the real GDP and real bank loans were determined using time series. A cointegration analysis and a vector error-correction model with quarterly data were used for period of 1987:01-2013:03. The results of cointegration analysis indicate that there is a single stable long-run equilibrium relationship between real bank loans and macroeconomic variables. The response of bank loans to GDP shocks is positive. Bank loans have pro-cyclical character in Turkey.展开更多
The spatial orientation of optical radiation sources has long been the hot topic in the aerospace and the military applications.Current researches mainly focus on the high precision orientation on the partial field of...The spatial orientation of optical radiation sources has long been the hot topic in the aerospace and the military applications.Current researches mainly focus on the high precision orientation on the partial field of view.Thus,combination of several partial fields of view is required to achieve orientation when the field of view exceeds 180°,which results in the increase of size,weight,power consumption and the cost.By defining radiation energy and direction of the optical radiation source as a vector and applying the cosine law of radiation and vector theorem,it is shown that the vector can be obtained from unit normal vectors on the three un-coplanar surfaces and from the energy projected by the optical radiation source.Based on this,an orientation method with 360° full field of view by a polyhedron is suggested,the mathematical formula for anti-multipath interference is supposed and the error upper limit is derived.The feasibility and effectiveness of this method are validated by measurements and simulation.An accuracy better than 2.866° and 0.574° is achieved when the ratio of measurement error of energy on arbitrary surface and the true value are 5% and 1%,respectively,given the matrix composed of unit normal vectors on three measurement surfaces is orthogonal.展开更多
