The average crystallite size of the barium phosphates was calculated by particle size distribution curves, and the size of the products was 33.40, 29. 37, 24. 13, 47.76 and 96. 53 μm when the pH values of the mixed solution are 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, respectively. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) show that the structures of the particles controlled by the mixed solution are mainly BaaPO4 when pH 〈 10; the barium phosphates are synthesized by biological deposition which is the mixture of BaHPO4 and Ba5 (PO4)3OH when pH = 10; when pH = 11, the barium phosphates are also the mixtures, which are Ba5 (PO4)3OH and BaNaPO4. The above results indicate that the phosphate-mineralization microbe can produce a certain enzyme which constantly hydrolyzes phosphate monoester in the mixed solution, and then PO4^3- ions are obtained.展开更多

In this process, the mixture of TiO2 powder and CaC12 was pressed into pieces as feed preform and was reduced by calcium vapor. Titanium powders was recovered after leaching from the reduced preform with hydrochloric acid and deionized water. The results indicate when the mass ratio of CaC12 to TiO2 is about 1:4 and at a constant temperature of 1 273 K for 6 h in vacuum furnace, titanium powders with 99.55% purity by EDS analysis and irregular shape (8-15 μm in particle size) are obtained.展开更多

Two representative soil pedons, granite (P1) and andesitic basalt (P2) were selected in a mountain landform with northwest aspect. Samples for thin section preparation were taken from each horizon by Kubiena boxes or clods. Micromorphological analysis of soils derived from these two soil pedons in eastern part of Lahijan (northern Iran) were conducted based on the physicochemical and mineralogical data. Micromorphological properties were characterized using a polarized light microscope under plain and cross light. Thin section study indicated that the nature of the parent material clearly affected the content of clay formation. It also showed that clay accumulation in the Bt horizons was not only due to clay illuviation (argillan), but that strong in situ weathering of primary minerals also contributed to the enrichment of clay in soils derived from andesitic basalt. Comparing the results of clay mineralogy obtained from X-ray diffraction (XRD) with microscopic studies revealed that birefringence fabric (b-fabric) of the groundmass was partly striated due to smectitic minerals in soil of andesitic basalt (Hapludalf), whereas speckled birefringence fabric was dominant in soil of granite (Udorthent) because of the absence of these minerals. We speculate that pores of skeletal fragments or microcracks in P1 were a place for illuvial clay protection. However, the main factor for flluvial clay film disruption (striation anddeformation) was biological activity (faunal turbation and root pressure) in P1 and expandable minerals and faunal turbation in P2.展开更多

Microstructure and texture evolution of the hot-compressed alloy were investigated by optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis, respectively. The results show that the relationship among flow stress a, deformation temperature T and strain rate ε can be expressed in the form of βσ = lnε+Q/(RT)-lnA. The threshold value of In Z (Z is Zener-Hollomon parameter) characterizing the dynamic recrystallization (DRX) is 46, below which the DRX takes place. A strong P orientation {011}(455) associated with a weak cube orientation { 100} (001) is found in the recrystallized sample during hot-compression.展开更多

In the reaction solution, the molar ratio of Al3+ to Zn2+ was 1∶100, the annealing temperature and time were 200 ℃ and 2-6 h, respectively. The structure of the thin films was identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD), the surface morphology and thickness of the thin films were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the electrical performance of the thin films was measured by four-point probes. It was shown that the films with an average particle size of 27.53 nm had a preferential orientation along (002), Al3+ had replaced the position of Zn2+ in the lattice without forming the Al2O3 phase and its thickness was 20-25 μm. With the increased annealing time, the intensity of diffraction peaks was decreased, the film exhibited irregular surface morphology gradually, and the resistivity of ZAO films was increased. The lowest resistivity obtained in this study was 3.45×10-5Ω·cm.展开更多
