研究EST12表面施胶度仪检测烟用接装纸原纸表面吸收性与Cobb检测仪测量结果的相关性。结果表明,对于烟用接装纸原纸,EST12表面施胶度仪检测出的特性值(A10)与Cobb值具有强相关性,可替代Cobb检测仪对Cobb检测仪不能做出的表面性能进行评估。

Presence of different terms with various values can alter the thermal behavior of the nanofluids flow over porous surfaces.The aim of this research is to study the influence of nanoparticles volume fraction,nanoparticles type,suction or injection,the heat generation or absorption,the Eckert number,thermal and velocity slip parameters,and radiation on the velocity and temperature fields on the flow and heat transfer over a porous flat plate.Four different types of nanoparticles including metal nanoparticles (Cu),metal oxide nanoparticles (Al2O3) and carbon-based nanomaterials (MWCNTs and SWCNTs) which were dispersed in the water (as based fluid) are studied.The governing equations are converted into the ordinary differential equations using similarity solution and solved numerically by the RKF45 algorithm.The results of the simulations showed a contradiction with the results of other researchers who expressed that using nanoparticles with higher thermal conductivity and volume fraction led to increasing heat transfer rate in nanofluids;this study proves that,in some cases,boosting the volume fraction of nanoparticles has a potential to decrease the heat transfer rate due to significant changes in values of some parameters including radiation,heat generation,and viscous dissipation. 展开更多

The effect of different surfactants(n-octyltrimethylammonium bromide(OTABr),sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) and Tween 80) with different critical micelle concentrations(CMC) on the CO_2 absorption into aqueous solutions in a bubble column is analyzed in the present work.The presence of these surfactants increased the gas-liquid interfacial area,and decreased the liquid phase mass transfer coefficient,but with significant different extent.The results indicated that the CMC can be a key parameter affecting the mass transfer of CO_2 absorption into a dilute aqueous solution of a surfactant.Sardeing's model was used to fit the experimental data successfully by re-correlating the parameters. 展开更多

The interaction between silver nanoparticles and Methylene Blue (MB) is studied by UV-Vis spectroscopy and fluorescence spec- trometry. The UV-Vis absorption of the silver nanoparticles changes dramatically with the addition of MB. However, no obvious changes of absorption spectra of MB are observed when silver colloids are added into the MB solution. In the presence of surfactant SDS, the catalysis of the silver nanoparticles in the reduction of MB by sodium borohydride is exhibited by UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrosopy of MB displaying faster response compared with the absence of the silver nanoparticles. The results show that the activity of surfactant SDS modified silver nanoparticles is great and a strong physical adsorption to MB exists. 展开更多

Suspended gold nanoparticles have been synthesized via electrochemical method.Fluorescence excitation and emission spectra were obtained using a spectrofluorophotometer.With varying the excitation wavelength,an emission peak fixed at 485 nm has always been observed.We believe that this peak is attributed to the surface plasmon resonance.When the detection wavelength was fixed at 485 nm (0.619×10 15 Hz),a double frequency exciting peak at 242 nm(2×0.619×10 15 Hz), a 3/2 fraction frequency exciting peak at 330 nm (about 3/2×0.619×10 15 Hz)and a 3/4 fraction frequency exciting peak at 640 nm(3/4×0.619×10 15 Hz)display.The nonlinear exciting peak at 640 nm corresponds to the two-photon absorption.Therefore,as the excitation wavelength is at 320 and 640 nm respectively,single-photon and two-photon absorption induced surface plasmon resonance emission peaks were observed. These nonlinear surface plasmon resonance emission characters of Au colloidal nanoparticles make it possible to enhance the sensitivity of conventional surface plasmon resonance device. 展开更多

Laser Processing Mechanism of Monocrystalline Diamond

When a Nd:YAG laser, the wavelength of which is permeable for diamond, is focused on the surface of a diamond sample, a layer of surface material is ablated. Therefore, diamond can be cut by repetitive irradiation. In this study, the processing mechanism of ablation for a single crystal diamond was examined using a heat conduction analysis, considering laser absorption at the surface or the temperature dependence of absorption coefficient. When the laser beam is absorbed at the surface layer, the surface layer is ablated during an early period in the laser pulse. Once the absorption surface layer is ablated, the laser beam penetrates the base material and ablation stops. On the other hand, if the authors assume that single crystal diamond has the temperature dependence of absorption coefficient which is about equal to that of CVD (chemical vapor deposition) diamond, the temperature rise is not enough to ablate the material. However, it became clear that the diamond is ablated deeply when the authors consider both absorption at the surface layer and the temperature dependence of the absorption coefficient. It can be considered that the surface is transformed to graphite and becomes the absorption layer during the repetitive irradiation. It is estimated that the phase change to graphite is very small and its volume fraction is a few percent at most. 展开更多

Surface modification of coconut-based activated carbon by SDS and its effects on Pb^(2+) adsorption

Coconut-based activated carbons were modified with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The activated carbons, which were modified by different concentrations of SDS, were characterized by acid/base titrations, textural analysis (BET), atomic absorption spectrochemical analysis and Zeta potential measurements. The effects of SDS modification on Pb2+ absorption were studied further. The results indicate that after the modification of SDS, there are new functional groups on the surface of modified activated carbons and the number of functional group has changed remarkably, the total acidity decreases observably, but the total alkalinity increases dramatically. With the increase of surface load with SDS, the Pb2+ adsorption mass of activated carbons increases and the optimal pH for Pb2+ adsorption of the SDS modified activated carbons is 5. The experimental data are simulated better by Freundlich isotherm model for the modified activated carbons, and the experimental data are simulated better by Langmuir isotherm model for unmodified ones. 展开更多
