In order to better assess the performance of wireless communication systems,it is desirable to produce multiple Rayleigh fading envelopes with specified correlations.In this paper,we analyze theoretically a procedure which generates correlated Gaussian random variables from independent Gaussian random variables and give a physical explanation for the limitation of this procedure.Then,based on some uncorrelated Rayleigh fading envelopes,a simple but efficient procedure for generating an arbitrary number of cross-correlated Rayleigh fading envelopes is proposed.Simulation results and computational complexity analysis are presented,which show that the proposed method has some advantages,such as high accuracy,low computational complexity and easy implementation,over the conventional simulation method. 展开更多

A new analytical expression is presented for the instantaneous power Probability Density Function (PDF) of receiver signals over composite K-u/gamma fading channels. Moreover, the exact expression of channel capacity is derived in the form of an infinite series, while an accurate approximation expression is obtained in closed form. To reveal the implications of the model parameters on capacity, we provide an expression for the case of a high-SNR environment. The relationship of the presented results with previously reported results on generalised-K and K fading channels is also discussed. Finally, numerical and simulation results are presented to prove the correctness of our derived expressions. 展开更多

A Cognitive radio communication link is possible to be interrupted easily when its physical channel suffers severe fading. Relay technology is an effective way to mitigate the fading effect of wireless channels in a network. Based on the highest achievable rate of the relay channels, this paper considers a cognitive radio relay network where the secondary transmitter communicates with the receiver through the best relay node under the peak power constraint of a primary receiver. Intuitively, the secondary transmission can benefit from an intermediate relay node chosen from N possible nodes. To quantify this benefit, outage probability of cognitive radio relay networks is derived and also the closed-form expressions for outage capacity and ergodic capacity of cognitive radio relay networks are obtained in Rayleigh fading channels. Numerical simulation results are provided to show that the outage capacity and ergodic capacity benefit tremendously by properly increasing the number of relaying nodes. 展开更多

Firstly, more information is acquired utilizing the reconstructed embedding phase space. Then, based on the Recurrent Least Squares Sup-port Vector Machines (RLS-SVM), noise reduction of the fast fading channel is realized. This filtering tech-nique does not make use of the spectral contents of the signal. Based on the stability and the fractal of the cha-otic attractor, the RLS-SVM algorithm is a better candidate for the nonlinear time series noise-reduction. The simulation results shows that better noise-reduction performance is acquired when the signal to noise ratio is 12dB. 展开更多

This paper addresses the power con- trol problems of Cognitive Radio (CR) trader transmission power and interference tempera- ture constraints. First, we propose the interfer- ence constraint which ensures that the Quality of Service (QoS) standards for primary users is considered and a non-cooperative game power control model. Based on the proposed model, we developed a logical utility function based on the Signal-to-Interference-Noise Ratio (S/NR) and a novel algorithm network power control. that is suitable for CR Then, the existence and uniqueness of the Nash Equilibrium (NE) in our utility function are proved by the principle of game theory and the corresponding optimi- zations. Compared to traditional algorithms, the proposed one could converge to an NE in 3-5 iterative operations by setting an appropriate pricing factor. Finally, simulation results ver- ified the stability and superiority of the novel algorithm in flat-fading channel environments. 展开更多

For the multipath fading on electromagnetic waves of wireless communication in the confined areas,the rectangular tunnel cooperative communication system was established based on the multimode channel model and the channel capacity formula derivation was obtained.On the optimal criterion of the channel capacity,the power allocation methods of both amplifying and forwarding(AF) and decoding and forwarding(DF) cooperative communication systems were proposed in the limitation of the total power to maximize the channel capacity.The mode selection methods of single input single output(SISO) and single input multiple output(SIMO) models in the rectangular tunnel,through which the higher channel capacity can be obtained,were put forward as well.The theoretical analysis and simulation comparison show that,channel capacity of the wireless communication system in the rectangular tunnel can be effectively enhanced through the cooperative technology;channel capacity of the rectangular tunnel under complicated conditions is maximized through the proposed power allocation methods,and the optimal cooperative mode of the channel capacity can be chosen according to the cooperative mode selection methods given in the paper. 展开更多

The energy efficiency(EE) of distributed antenna system with quality of service(Qo S) requirement is investigated over composite Rayleigh fading channel,where the shadow fading,path loss and Rayleigh fading are all considered. Our aim is to maximize the EE which is defined as the ratio of the transmission rate to the total consumed power subject to the maximum transmit power of each remote antenna constraint and Qo S(target BER) requirement. According to the definition of EE and using the upper bound of average EE,the optimized objective function is provided. Based on this,utilizing Karush-KuhnTucker conditions and numerical calculation,a suboptimal energy efficient power allocation(PA) scheme is developed,and the closedform expression of PA coefficients is derived. The scheme may obtain the EE performance close to the existing optimal scheme. Moreover,it has relatively lower complexity than the existing scheme because only the statistic channel information and less iteration are required. Simulation results show the presented scheme is valid and can meet the target BER requirement,and the EE can be increased as target BER requirement decreases. 展开更多

In this paper, the transmission of confidential messages through single-input multiple-output (SIMO) independent and identically generMized-K (KG) fading channels is considered, where the eavesdropper overhears the transmission from the transmitter to the receiver. Both the receiver and the eavesdropper are equipped with multiple antennas, and both active and passive eavesdroppings are considered where the channel state information of the eavesdropper's channel is or is not available at the transmitter. The secrecy performance of SIMO KG systems is investigated. Analytical expressions for secrecy outage probability and average secrecy capacity of SIMO systems are derived via two different methods, in which KG distribution is approximated by the Gamma and mixture Gamma distributions, respectively. Numerical results are presented and verified via the Monte-Carlo simulation. 展开更多
