This is the first demonstration of hierarchical MOR without preferential growth along the c-axis, which facilitates mass transfer in the 12-membered ring channels of MOR zeolite for the conversions involving bulky molecules. The facile method involves the combined use of tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) and commercial surfactants, in which TEAOH is essential for the construction of nanocrystal assemblies. The surfactant serves as a crystal growth-inhibiting agent to further inhibit nanocrystalline particle growth, resulting in enhanced mesoporosity. The hierarchical MOR assembled particles, constructed of 20-50-nm crystallites, exhibit superior catalytic properties in the alkylation of benzene with benzyl alcohol compared with the control sample, as the hierarchical MOR possesses a larger external surface area and longer c-axis dimension. More importantly, the material shows improved activity and stability in the dimethyl ether carbonylation to methyl acetate reaction, which is a novel route to produce ethanol from syngas.展开更多

Rabbits were immunized with the purified 6S tubulin and the anti-6S tubulin antiserum thus prepared was used in the indirect immunofluorescence staining of nuclei With double thymidine block method, we obtained cells at G1/S, S and G2 phases of cell cycle and isolated nuclei from cells of each pltase, Immunofluorescence staining of MTOCs could hardly he detected in the Triton X-100 treated cells nor in nuclei of any phase after preincubation with purified 6S tubulin alone. Yet,if the Triton X-100 treated cells or nuclei were incubated, in the presence of 5 mM ATP, with maturation promoting factor (MPF)isolated from mature oocytes of Xenopus for 40 minutes before the addition of the 6S tubulin, specifically stained MTOCs were clearly demonstrated in S and G2 nuclei Furthermore, microbubules could be observed radiating from the MTOCs in late S and G2 nuclei. However, alkaline pHospHatase treatment of the nuclei which had been incubated with the activated MPF prohibited the staining of MTOCs, and MPF isolated from premature oocytes failed to contribute to the immunostaining of MTOCs. Our results thus suggest that the transformation of kinetochores into MTOCs during cell cycle requires activated MPF and phosphorylation of proteins.展开更多

This apparatus can be driven by either of ball screw or ...In this study, in order to investigate the power consumption of feed drive system, mathematical models for the single-axis experimental apparatus are developed. This apparatus can be driven by either of ball screw or linear motor and it is possible to change the mechanical properties of such as grease viscosity of the table. Then, the power consumption is simulated by proposed method based on the mathematical model of feed drive systems and the simulated results are compared with the measured results of the experimental apparatus to confirm the validity of the proposed method. In addition, it is clarified that the energy usages of the feed drive system. The energy losses of the feed drive system are divided into the loss of each part and these energy losses are calculated by the proposed method. Then, it is investigated that the influence of the velocity and friction to the energy consumption of feed drive system. As the results, it is confirmed that proposed method can accurately predict the power consumption of the ball-screw feed drive system. It is also clarified that the energy usage for both of ball-screw and linear motor drive systems.展开更多

It was found that in 3T3 cells, during mitosis PI antigen began to coat the condensing chromosome .surface earlier.than PCN did. However, both of them completed their coating on chromosome at approximately the same stage of mitosis, prometaphase metaphase. The dissociation of PI antigen from chromosome pellicle to participate the formation of nuclear periphery took, place also ahead of that of PCN. At early telophase PI antigen had been extensively involved in the formation of nuclear periphery, while PCN remained in association with the surface of decondensing chromosomes. At late telophase, when PI antigen was localized in an fairly well formed nuclear periphery, PCN was in a stage of forming prenucleolar bodies.展开更多

Research of the action of y-ra...Laser irradiation device for the protection of biological objects from the action of ionizing radiation to be used in practice has been manufactured (invention patent RU 2 428 228 C2). Research of the action of y-radiation itself as well as of the combined action of laser devices on survival, weight, skin and the general mitotic index of the bone marrow cells (mitotic index of all nucleus-containing cells of the bone marrow) of C57BL/6 experimental young mice was carried out. The mice were irradiated with ionizing (whole body irradiation) and laser radiation, separately one by one in a special frame device. Laser radiation in the dose 1 mJ/cm^2 irradiated only the back of a mouse, or both the back and the abdomen of mice. In case of combined irradiation of mice, the time interval between two types of irradiation did not exceed 30 min. First, the mice were exposed to y-radiation then to laser radiation. The method of the laser radiation-protection of biological subjects contributes to an increase in the viability of mice, prevents the damages of skin and also increases the mitotic activity of mice bone marrow cells.展开更多
