This paper analyzes the operation parameters of the time delay and integration (TDI) line scan CCD camera, such as resolution, line rate, clock frequency, etc. and their mathematical relationship is deduced. By analyzing and calculating these parameters, the working clocks of the TDI CCD line scan camera are designed, which guarantees the synchronization of the line scan rate and the camera movement speed. The IL-E2 TDI CCD of DALSA Co. is used as the sensor of the camera in the paper. The working clock generator used for the TDI CCD sensor is realized by using the programmable logic device (PLD). The experimental results show that the working clock generator circuit satisfies the requirement of high speed TDI CCD line scan camera. 展开更多

This review focuses on the application of process engineering in electrochemical energy conversion and storage devices innovation. For polymer electrolyte based devices, it highlights that a strategic simple switch from proton exchange membranes(PEMs) to hydroxide exchange membranes(HEMs) may lead to a new-generation of affordable electrochemical energy devices including fuel cells, electrolyzers, and solar hydrogen generators. For lithium-ion batteries, a series of advancements in design and chemistry are required for electric vehicle and energy storage applications. Manufacturing process development and optimization of the LiF eP O_4/C cathode materials and several emerging novel anode materials are also discussed using the authors' work as examples.Design and manufacturing process of lithium-ion battery electrodes are introduced in detail, and modeling and optimization of large-scale lithium-ion batteries are also presented. Electrochemical energy materials and device innovations can be further prompted by better understanding of the fundamental transport phenomena involved in unit operations. 展开更多

Focusing on the theo- retical analysis of the lubrication oil flow needed by the transmission procedure to form the oil-film. The counter-meshing gears (CMG) discriminator is a mechanically coded lock, which is used to prevent the occurrence of High Consequence Events. This paper advanced a new kind of self-assembly metal CMG discriminator based on multi-exposure LiGA like process and sacrificial layer process. The new CMG discriminator has the following characters except low cost: 1) it has only discrimination teeth sections; 2) the thickness of each gear layer exceeds one hundred micrometers; 3) it is axially driven by a separate dectronic magnetic micromotor directly; 4) its CMG is made of metal and is batch fabricated in the assembled state; 5) it is prevented from rotating in the opposite direction by pawl/ratchet wheel mechanism; 6) it has simpler structure. This device has better strength and reliability in abnormal environment compared to the existing surface micro machining (SMM) discriminator. 展开更多

The possibility of developing a stellarator-based neutron source designed for the nuclear reaction initiation in the blanket of hybrid reactor is studied. An analog of the Large Helical Device (LHD) stellarator design, with linear dimensions increased by a factor of 1.5 is taken for the magnetic system. Plasma parameters and the deuterium-tritium (DT) mixture fusion power are calculated using the space-time numerical code under the assumption of the neoclassical transport in the ambipolarity regime. Using the 10 MW plasma heating sources, it is possible to obtain the DT fusion power of one-to-two tens MW. 展开更多

A prototype of hybrid neural recording interface has been developed for extracellular neural recording. It consists of a silicon-based plane microelectrode array and a CMOS low noise neural amplifier chip. The neural amplifier chip is designed and implemented in 0.18 μm N-well CMOS 1P6M technology. The area of the neural preamplifier is only 0.042 mm2 with a gain of 48.3 dB. The input equivalent noise is 4.73 btVrms within pass bands of 4 kHz. To avoid cable tethering for high dense mul- tichannel neural recording interface and make it compact, flip-chip bonding is used to integrate the preamplifier chip and the microelectrode together. The hybrid device measures 3 mm×5.5 mm×330μm, which is convenient for implant or in-vivo neu- ral recording. The hybrid device was testified in in-vivo experiment. Neural signals were recorded from hippocampus region of anesthetized Sprague Dawley rats successfully. 展开更多

Our experimental studies on the composite st... We propose a novel metamaterial structure operating at the terahertz band. This structure is assembled by a split ring resonator (SRR) with a metal mesh within a unit cell. Our experimental studies on the composite structure indicate that the coupling of the SRR and metal mesh significantly contribute to the transparency at the terahertz range. Moreover, we experimentally demonstrated the verity of transmission peak of this structure by changing the relative positions of the SRR and the metal mesh. The simulated electric field redistributions support the dependence between position of the two components and the transmission response. This study is the first to report a hybrid metamaterial structure consisting of an SRR array and a metal mesh within a unit cell. The designed process and resonance characteristics of this composite structure make it an excellent candidate for developing tunable terahertz components via integration with the MEMS (Micro Electronic Mechanical System) technology. 展开更多
