Dongting Lake, a tra-ditional tourist location, is one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China and a Grade 5A National Scenic Region. This study objectively analyzes the scenic resources of South Dongting Lake, and presents a model based on Quantifi- cation Theory I to assess wetland scenic landscapes. Employing a multilinear regression relationship between land-scape factors and their associated scenic value, we built up the Wetland Landscape Quantification Model (WLQM), which was used to classify 221 landscapes into five grades. Finally, some suggestions are proposed regarding quantita-tive assessment and its use for the sustainable development of wetland environments.展开更多

But the landscape on the way was extraordinary: yellow rape blossoms flourished along roads; the plateau grassland was dotted with many anonymous flowers -- red, purple or yellow; high mountains were permeated by clouds and mists, springs and streams ran down from top of mountains; and goats and yaks grazed leisurelv on mountain slopes in the distance. All those testified to the truth of a popular proverb -- "Beautiful landscape is always on the way".展开更多

The so-called aesthetic, simply put, is to feel, and understand the objective things or phenomena presented by the United States itself: specifically, it refers to the people in their social practice and objective process of historical things or phenomena occur and construct a special performance relationship. There are basically three kinds of relationships of man and objective things or phenomena: firstly, cognitive relation of science; Secondly, ethical norms relations; thirdly, aesthetic performance relationship. Focus on the relationship between the performances of the aesthetic object vivid sense of the expressive form of regularity is the unity and purpose, with freedom. The essence of aesthetic is liberty. Art aesthetic and general aesthetic are different, mainly because of its aesthetic objects, which is based on works of art as an aesthetic object. General aesthetic contemplation of beauty of reality, the reality of objective things or phenomena, not as people practice the original object mad the object of knowledge exists. In social practice, they first form a rational understanding of relationships and will practice relationship. On this basis, when the society develops to the degree of no direct utilitarian attitude, practical attitude towards the object of an object only when there has been more mature, purely aesthetic relationship. The beauty of art is different from the reality beauty, which is produced and existed as an aesthetic object.展开更多

With the development of real estate along lakes, the local marginal lines and natural landscapes nearby are disappearing. How to plan urban landscapes'? How to achieve the harmonious relationship between lakeshore landscapes and lakeshore architectural image? How to render lake sights an organic and sustainable whole? How to balance the interest between economy and value for each interest group? How to form urban lake sights and architectural images? How to utilize and arrange the space? How to form a harmonious relationship between the lake scenes and buildings in the city? Through on-the-spot investigation and profound analysis of several lakes in Wuhan, applying enumeration, induction and analysis, the dissertation reveals that people need to share natural resources and get the support from laws and policies with the aim of building a beautiful home. In tmaa, people's anticipation is needed to achieve a harmonious relationship between landscapes and architectures.展开更多
