The ...In this paper, we study linear static Stac kelberg problems with multiple leaders-followers in which each decision maker wi thin his group may or may not cooperate. An exact penalty function method is dev eloped. The duality gaps of the followers’ problems are appended to the leaders’ objective function with a penalty. The structure leads to the decomposition of the composite problem into a series of linear programmings leading to an efficie nt algorithm. We prove that local optimality is reached for an exact penalty fun ction and illustrate the method with three examples. The model in this paper ext ends the stackelberg leader-follower model.展开更多

In this study, we determined the effects of ...Eutrophication, which is the enrichment of a water mass with inorganic and organic nutrients that support plant growth, is a key factor in stimulating phytoplankton growth. In this study, we determined the effects of various nitrogen sources, different nitrogen concentrations in the culture medium, and two culture methods on the growth of the green alga, Enteromorpha prolifera. The relationship between the specific growth rate of E. prolifera and NO3-N concentration was consistent with that estimated using the Monod equation （R2=0.9713, P〈0.01）. In the N O3-N medium, the maximum specific growth rate was calculated to be 0.1634/d and the semi-saturation constant was calculated to be 16.86 μmol/L. Our results show that E. prolijkra can effectively utilize NH4^＋-N, NO3^-N, and NO^2-N and urea-N in the range of 5 to 50 μmol/L. NH4^＋-N was preferentially assimilated by E. prolifera, and urea-N was favorable for long-term growth.展开更多

The coefficients of the simplest normal forms of resonant double Hopf bifurcation and the nonlinear transformations in terms of the original system coefficients were given explicitly. The nonlinear transformations were used for reducing the lower- and higher-order normal forms, and the rank of system matrix was used to determine the coefficient of normal form which could be reduced. These make the gained normal form simpler than the traditional one. A general program was compiled with Mathematica. This program can compute the simplest normal form of resonant double Hopf bifurcation and the non-resonant form up to the 7th order.展开更多

The results of this work showed that infestation by the confused flour beetle with 5 pairs of adult stage and its progeny within 3 months period may cause high deterioration and damaged of the flour specification. The people in lraq get their flour from some official and non-official mills which they produce not so good quality of this flour in addition to which it contains some times an infestation with the two species of the flour beetles T. castaneum and T. confusum, when people do not use this quantity as quickly as possible during this period of storage, the beetles will be increased in numbers and make the flour unacceptable for any kind of pastes or bread. The infestation by this beetle causes great pollution to the flour by the ecdysial of larvae and a bad smell that it leaves on the flour and all its products.展开更多

We demonstrate how model information, enriched with data at various LODs （levels of development）, can evolve simultaneously with design and construction using different representation of a window object embedded in a wall as lifeeyele phase exemplars at different levels of granularity. The conceptual standpoint is informed by the need for exploring a methodological approach which extends beyond current limitations of current modelling platforms in enhancing the information content of BIM models. Therefore, this work demonstrates that BIM objects can be augmented with construction specification parameters leveraging product libraries.展开更多

The liquid feeds in a pigsty are distributed to the s...This paper focused on the task of reducing power consumption and improving energy efficiency in the technological process of distribution liquid feeds in a pigsty. The liquid feeds in a pigsty are distributed to the stables via pipelines. A centrifugal pump driven by an electric motor is used to supply the liquid feed and to move it through the pipeline. The electric motor is the major electric energy consumer in the process. As shown by experimental data and as following the theory, there is a non-linear relation between the electric motor power, the pump throughput and feed humidity. The purpose of the paper is to calculate such an optimal value of the electric motor power that provides the minimal energy consumption on the process of feed distribution. The problem is solved by the Lagrange multiplier method of nonlinear mathematical programming, taking into account geometrical parameters of the pipeline, humidity and portions volumes of distributed feed. The energy saving effect is estimated and reducing power consumption is shown.展开更多
