With long-term marine surveys and research,and especially with the development of new marine environment monitoring technologies,prodigious amounts of complex marine environmental data are generated,and continuously increase rapidly.Features of these data include massive volume,widespread distribution,multiple-sources,heterogeneous,multi-dimensional and dynamic in structure and time.The present study recommends an integrative visualization solution for these data,to enhance the visual display of data and data archives,and to develop a joint use of these data distributed among different organizations or communities.This study also analyses the web services technologies and defines the concept of the marine information gird,then focuses on the spatiotemporal visualization method and proposes a process-oriented spatiotemporal visualization method.We discuss how marine environmental data can be organized based on the spatiotemporal visualization method,and how organized data are represented for use with web services and stored in a reusable fashion.In addition,we provide an original visualization architecture that is integrative and based on the explored technologies.In the end,we propose a prototype system of marine environmental data of the South China Sea for visualizations of Argo floats,sea surface temperature fields,sea current fields,salinity,in-situ investigation data,and ocean stations.An integration visualization architecture is illustrated on the prototype system,which highlights the process-oriented temporal visualization method and demonstrates the benefit of the architecture and the methods described in this study. 展开更多

Aiming at the defects of traditional four-wheel aligner such as many sensors,complex operation and slow detection speed,a fast and accurate 3D four-wheel alignment detection method is studied.Firstly,a new and special circle center target board is designed to calibrate the camera,and then the registration of the homography matrix is optimized by using the improved RANSAC(Random sample consensus)algorithm combined with the designed special target board,and the parameters of the wheel alignment system are adjusted by using the space vector principle.Accurate measurements are made to obtain the parameters of the four-wheel alignment.Design a calibration comparison experiment between the traditional target board and the new type of target board,and conduct a comparative test with the existing four-wheel aligner of the depot.The experimental results show that the use of the new target board-binding optimization algorithm can improve the calibration efficiency by about 9%to 21%,while improving the calibration accuracy by about 10.6%to 17.8%.And through the real vehicle test,it is verified that the use of the new target combined with the optimization algorithm can ensure the accuracy and reliability of the four-wheel positioning.This method has a certain significance in the rapid detection of vehicle four-wheel alignment parameters. 展开更多

This novel method of Pedestrian Tracking using Support Vector (PTSV) proposed for a video surveillance instrument combines the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier into an optic-flow based tracker. The traditional method using optical flow tracks objects by minimizing an intensity difference function between successive frames, while PTSV tracks objects by maximizing the SVM classification score. As the SVM classifier for object and non-object is pre-trained, there is need only to classify an image block as object or non-ob-ject without having to compare the pixel region of the tracked object in the previous frame. To account for large motions between successive frames we build pyramids from the support vectors and use a coarse-to-fine scan in the classification stage. To accelerate the training of SVM, a Sequential Minimal Optimization Method (SMO) is adopted. The results of using a kernel-PTSV for pedestrian tracking from real time video are shown at the end. Comparative experimental results showed that PTSV improves the reliability of tracking compared to that of traditional tracking method using optical flow. 展开更多

A Novel Algorithm of Solving the Optimal Slope on Rate-distortion Curve for the Given Rate Budget

Rate-distortion optimization greatly improves the performance of compression coding system so that it pervades all of the source coding from an informationtheoretic standpoint and for the design of practical coding systems. For the case of rate-distortion optimization, Lagrange multiplier method provides the efficient and nearly optimal solution. In this paper, a fast and efficient algorithm is proposed to solve the optimal slope λ* of the rate-distortion curve at the given bit budget. Based on Lagrange multiplier method, the presented algorithm find λ* using the golden-ratio search. Compared with the Bisection method that only adapts to the system with the dense operational points on the rate-distortion curve, the proposed algorithm can be adapted to the system whether the operational points are populated densely or not. Thus it can be applied to both the wavelet coding system and the video coding standards such as H. 264, where Bisection method can not work well. In particular, the algorithm has been verified on the platform of the quadtree classified and trellis coded quantized (QTCQ) wavelet image compression system and the newest video coding standard H. 264. The experimental results are provided to demonstrate the efficiency of the algorithm. The proposed algorithm can improve the performance. A gain abour 0.6 - 0.7 dB can be achieved with the same rate in H. 264. In addition, it converges as fast as Bisection method, with almost the same ctinplexity. 展开更多

A multifunctional coded target and its recognition algorithm is developed, which can realize automatic match of feature points, calculation of camera initial exterior orientation and space scale factor constraint in measurement system. The uniqueness and scalability of coding are guaranteed by the rational arrangement of code bits. The recognition of coded targets is realized by cross-ratio invariance restriction, space coordinates transform of feature points based on spacial pose estimation algorithm, recognition of code bits and computation of coding values. The experiment results demonstrate the uniqueness of the coding form and the reliability of recognition. 展开更多

Robust guidance algorithm using only line-of-sight rate measurement is proposed for the interceptor with passive seeker.The initial relative distance,initial closing velocity and their error boundaries are employed to obtain their estimations according to the interceptor-target relative kinematics.A robust guidance law based on sliding mode control is formulated,in which the boundary of target maneuver is needed and the chattering phenomenon inevitably exists.In order to address the defects above,an estimation to the boundary of the target acceleration is proposed to improve the robust guidance law and the Lyapunov stability analysis is included.The main feature of the robust guidance algorithm is that it reduces the influence of the relative distance,the closing velocity and the target maneuver on the interception and enhances the effect of line-of-sight rate.With two worst conditions of initial measured distance and initial measured closing velocity,performances of the proposed guidance laws are verified via numerical simulations against different target maneuvers. 展开更多
