Re...The stimulatory effect of lysophosphatidylcholine (lyso_PC) on ATP and ρ_nitrophenyl phosphate (PNPP) hydrolysis by the plasma membrane H +_ATPase from soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) hypocotyls was studied. Results showed that lyso_PC stimulated the hydrolysis of ATP; ATP hydrolysis was enhanced dramatically when lyso_PC was within 0-0.03%, and increased slightly when lyso_PC was higher than 0.03%. At the concentration of 0.03%, lyso_PC stimulated ATP hydrolysis by 80.5%. Kinetics analysis showed that V max increased from 0.46 μmol P i·mg -1 protein·min -1 to 0.87 μmol P i·mg -1 protein·min -1 while K m increased from 0.88 mmol/L to 1.15 mmol/L under lyso_PC treatment. The optimum pH of ATP hydrolysis was shifted from 6.5 to 7.0 . Moreover, it was found lyso_PC enhanced the inhibition of ATP hydrolysis by hydroxylamine. In the presence of 200 mmol/L hydroxylamine, ATP hydrolysis was inhibited by 74.4%, while it was inhibited by 84.4% when treated with lyso_PC. However, PNPP hydrolysis and the inhibitory effect of vanadate were not affected by lyso_PC. The above results indicated that the kinase domain might be an action site or regulatory region of the C_terminal autoinhibitory domain in the plant plasma membrane H +_ATPase.展开更多

The approach used is a super extension of Leznov-Saveliev algebraic analysis, which is based on a pair of chiral and antichiral Drienfeld-Sokolov systems. Though such approach is well understood for Toda field theories associated with ordinary Lie algebras, its super analogue was only successful in the super Liouville case with the underlying Lie superalgebra osp(1|2). The problem lies in that a key step in the construction makes use of the tensor product decom- position of the highest weight representations of the underlying Lie superalgebra, which is not clear until recently. So our construction made in this paper presents a first explicit example of Leznov-Saveliev analysis for super Toda systems associated with underlying Lie superalgebras of the rank higher than 1.展开更多

In order to investigate the isotopic and chemical characteristics of lagoon waters in Niigata Prefecture in recent years, oxygen and hydrogen stable isotope ratios (i.e., 8180 and 6D), the concentrations of DOC (di...In order to investigate the isotopic and chemical characteristics of lagoon waters in Niigata Prefecture in recent years, oxygen and hydrogen stable isotope ratios (i.e., 8180 and 6D), the concentrations of DOC (dissolved organic carbon), DO (dissolved oxygen) and pH, etc. in water samples of Sakata and Toyanogata were measured. Samples were generally taken monthly at the fixed sampling points from these lagoons. Consequently, the following matters have been mainly clarified: (1) ~D value of water samples in Sakata was generally larger than that in Toyanogata similarly to the case of ~180, though remarkable large difference among samples was not found; (2) the pH value of lagoon water samples is almost 6.5-8.5 (which is generally larger than that of river water), and pH at the spot of SI (downstream point of Lower Lagoon (Shitakata)) is remarkably high (9.0-9.5); (3) Lagoon water has the chemical characteristics contrasting to groundwater with a focus on river water from the viewpoint of pH (acidity or alkalinity) and DO. These matters can be closely related to the biological activity such as photosynthesis due to aquatic plant and phytoplankton and the activity of Crustacea plankton etc. in lagoon.展开更多

Furthermore, the nonlocal symmetry for the modified Boussinesq equation is obtained by th Painlev′e analysis. The nonlocal symmetry is localized to the Lie point symmetry by introducing one auxiliary dependen variable. The finite symmetry transformation related with the nonlocal symemtry is obtained by solving the initia value problem of the prolonged systems. Thanks to the localization process, many interaction solutions among soliton and other complicated waves are computed through similarity reductions. The phylogenetic diversity of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) distributed in P-rich soils in the Dianchi Lake drainage area of China was characterized, and the tricalcium phosphate (TCP) solubilizing activit...The phylogenetic diversity of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) distributed in P-rich soils in the Dianchi Lake drainage area of China was characterized, and the tricalcium phosphate (TCP) solubilizing activities of isolated PSB were determined. Among 1 328 bacteria isolated from 100 P-rich soil samples, 377 isolates (28.39% of the total) that exhibited TCP solubilization activity were taken as PSB. These PSB showed different abilities to solubilize TCP, with the concentrations of solubilized P in bacterial cultures varying from 33.48 to 69.63 mg L^(-1). A total of 123 PSB isolates, with relatively high TCP solubilization activity (〉 54.00 mg L^(-1)), were submitted for restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis, which revealed 32 unique RFLP patterns. Based on these patterns, 62 representative isolates, one to three from each RFLP pattern, were selected for 16S rRNA sequencing. Phylogenetic analysis placed the 123 PSB into three bacterial phyla, namely Proteobacteria, Aetinobacteria and Firmicutes. Members of Proteobacteria were the dominant PSB, where 107 isolates represented by 26 RFLP patterns were associated with the genera of Burkholderia, Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Enterobacter, Pantoea, Serratia, Klebsiella, Leclercia, Raoultella and Cedeeea. Firmicutes were the subdominant group, in which 13 isolates were affiliated with the genera of Bacillus and Brevibacterium. The remaining 3 isolates were identified as three species of the genus Arthrobacter. This research extends the knowledge on PSB in P-rich soils and broadens the spectrum of PSB for the development of environmentally friendly biophosphate fertilizers.展开更多
