Furthermore multi parameters are designed for DPM, which is called the fast DPM(FDPM), and the convergence ratio of the above algorithm is greatly increased. In order to improve the prediction precision of the safety performance function (SPF) of freeway basic segments, design and crash data of 640 segments are collected from different institutions. Three negative binomial (NB) regression models and three generalized negative binomial (GNB) regression models are built to prove that the interactive influence of explanatory variables plays an important role in fitting goodness. The effective use of the GNB model in analyzing the interactive influence of explanatory variables and predicting freeway basic segments is demonstrated. Among six models, the two models (one is the NB model and the other is the GNB model. ) which consider the interactive influence of the annual average daily traffic (AADT) and length are more reasonable for predicting results. Furthermore, a comprehensive study is carried out to prove that when considering the interactive influence, the NB and GNB models have almost the same fitting performance in estimating the crashes, among which the GNB model is slightly better for prediction performance. 展开更多

A new method in digital hearing aids to adaptively localize the speech source in noise and reverberant environment is proposed. Based on the room reverberant model and the multichannel adaptive eigenvalue decomposition (MCAED) algorithm, the proposed method can iteratively estimate impulse response coefficients between the speech source and microphones by the adaptive subgradient projection method. Then, it acquires the time delays of microphone pairs, and calculates the source position by the geometric method. Compared with the traditional normal least mean square (NLMS) algorithm, the adaptive subgradient projection method achieves faster and more accurate convergence in a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) environment. Simulations for glasses digital hearing aids with four-component square array demonstrate the robust performance of the proposed method. 展开更多

As a result, wecan not only successfully recover the previously known travelling wave solutions found by existing various tanh methodsand other sophisticated methods, but also obtain some new formal solutions. EMD Based Multi-scale Model for High Resolution Image Fusion 被引量:5

The intensity hue ... High resolution image fusion is a significant focus in the field of image processing. A new image fusion model is presented based on the characteristic level of empirical mode decomposition (EMD). The intensity hue saturation (IHS) transform of the multi-spectral image first gives the intensity image. Thereafter, the 2D EMD in terms of row-column extension of the 1D EMD model is used to decompose the detailed scale image and coarse scale image from the high-resolution band image and the intensity image. Finally, a fused intensity image is obtained by reconstruction with high frequency of the high-resolution image and low frequency of the intensity image and IHS inverse transform result in the fused image. After presenting the EMD principle, a multi-scale decomposition and reconstruction algorithm of 2D EMD is defined and a fusion technique scheme is advanced based on EMD. Panchromatic band and multi-spectral band 3,2,1 of Quickbird are used to assess the quality of the fusion algorithm. After selecting the appropriate intrinsic mode function (IMF) for the merger on the basis of EMD analysis on specific row (column) pixel gray value series, the fusion scheme gives a fused image, which is compared with generally used fusion algorithms (wavelet, IHS, Brovey). The objectives of image fusion include enhancing the visibility of the image and improving the spatial resolution and the spectral information of the original images. To assess quality of an image after fusion, information entropy and standard deviation are applied to assess spatial details of the fused images and correlation coefficient, bias index and warping degree for measuring distortion between the original image and fused image in terms of spectral information. For the proposed fusion algorithm, better results are obtained when EMD algorithm is used to perform the fusion experience. 展开更多

The Longchi area with the city of Dujiangyan, in the Sichuan province of China, is composed of Permian stone and diorites and Triassic sandstones and mudstones intercalated with slates. An abundance of loose co-seismic materials were present on the slopes after the May 12, 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, which in later years served as source material for rainfall-induced debris flows or shallow landslides. A total of 48 debris flows, all triggered by heavy rainfall on 13th August 20l0, are described in this paper. Field investigation, supported by remote sensing image interpretation, was conducted to interpret the co-seismic landslides in the debris flow gullies. Specific characteristics of the study area such as slope, aspect, elevation, channel gradient, lithology, and gully density were selected for the evaluation of debris flow susceptibility. A score was given to all the debris flow gullies based on the probability of debris flow occurrence for the selected factors. In order to get the contribution of the different factors, principal component analyses were applied. A comprehensive score was obtained for the 48 debris flow gullies which enabled us to make a susceptibility map for debris flows with three classes. Twenty-two gullies have a high susceptibility, twenty gullies show a moderate susceptibility and six gullies have a low susceptibility for debris flows. 展开更多

In early morning of Aug 8th, 2010, the rain-triggered tremendous debris flows broke out simultaneously at the Sanyanyu ravine and Luojiayu ravine, which locate in the north part of Zhouqu County town. The debris flow is the most severe event of the same kind of disasters in the past sixty years in China, which caused great losses of people's lives and properties. Based on field investigation, remote sensing image interpretation and analysis of local climatological data, the local topographical conditions, active tectonic movement, massive debris source and torrential rains were the main formation causes which induced the catastrophic debris flows. Moreover, detailed geological surveys were carried out following the disaster, the other geological potential hazard sites were found out, and the geological and seismic hazard assessment has been put into practice. At last, scientific and appropriate countermeasures have been suggested to prevent and mitigate the extraordinarily serious debris flow. 展开更多

Factors on degradation of chlorothalonil(CLT) in water by high frequency ultrasonic irradiation were investigated.The effects of initial concentration of chlorothalonil,dosages of tertiary butyl alcohol,humic acid and initial pH value on degradation of chlorothalonil,as well as the reaction mechanism were studied.The results reveal that chlorothalonil could be effectively degradated by ultrasonic irradiation.The reaction constant value kapp decreased from 0.014 1 to 0.010 2 min-1 with the initial concentration increasing from 50 to 400 μg/L during 180 min irradiation.Tertiary butyl alcohol had negative effect on chlorothalonil degradation,while lower concentration of humic acid promoted the sonolysis,and kapp declined with the further concentration increasing.The kapp varied little when the pH value ranged from 3.10 to 10.28.It may be concluded that mechanical and pyrolysis process played main roles on the degradation of chlorothalonil in ultrasonic irradiation rather than ·OH attack.The electrical energy per order(EEo) values for sonolysis degradation of CLT were also calculated to evaluate the cost of the process. 展开更多

The topic of this paper is animals in painting and the investigative process undertaken by the artist Vanessa Barbay during her practice--led Ph.D.. Her aim was to discover a way to present deceased animals that retained their agency as individuals by challenging the objectifying nature of representation. The foundation of this method was the collaboration between artist and dead animal subjects through harnessing the natural decomposition of the subject in order to generate their image. A related stream of Barbay's research was learning about the art and culture of Kunwinjku speaking artists living in Kunbarlanja Western Amhem Land where artists have painted images of animals on rock shelters and on bark from ancient through to contemporary times. The significance of their form of animal representation is a mythopoeic relationship between locally found pigments and animal bodies. Paintings are considered as collaboration between matter, subject, and artist, which Barbay extends in her current work centred on collaborative painting involving more than one artist. 展开更多

The conventional silk fibroin(SF)films obtained by casting from SF aqueous solution are amorphous,and easily dissolved in water.This defect limits the practical use of SF films in biomedical field.A new water-insoluble silk fibroin film(an SF-FA film)could be simply prepared by casting from SF formic acid solution.The physical properties and moisture permeability of SF-FA films were examined.The results show that the SF-FA film swollen in water exhibits outstanding pliability.The weight loss of SF-FA films in water is also very little.The unique physical properties for the SF-FA film in the wet relate to the intrinsic structure of the fibroin film.The cell viability of rat embryo dermal fibroblasts seeded on the control films and the SF-FA films was evaluated by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT)assay.Results show that the optical density(OD)value of the SF-FA film is almost the same as that of the conventional SF film treated with alcohol,therefore,the SF-FA film has good cell compatibility.In addition,the SF-FA film is also a biodegradable material.Because of their good transparency,it is helpful in study of clinical experiment with the SF-FA films. 展开更多

Here we report the study of the photodissociation dynamics of carbonyl sulfide in the vacuum ultraviolet region using the time-sliced velocity map ion imaging technique.Images of S(^3PJ=2,1,0),S(^1D2)and S(^1S0)products were measured at four photolysis wave-lengths of 129.32,128.14,126.99,and 126.08 nm,respectively.Four main dissociation channels:S(^3PJ=2,1,0)+CO(X^1Σ^+),S(^3PJ=2,1,0)+CO(A^3π),S(^1D2)+CO(X^1Σ^+)and S(^1S0)+CO(X^1Σ^+)channels,have been clearly observed and identified.Vibrational states of the CO co-products were partially resolved in the experimental images.From these images,the product total kinetic energy releases,the branching ratios and angular distributions of products have been derived.While the S(^3PJ=2,1,0)+CO(A^3π)product channel is formed through the adiabatic dissociation process after the excitation to the(3^1Σ^+)excited state,the results suggest that strong nonadiabatic coupling plays an important role in the formation of other three channels. 展开更多

The algorithm inte- grates the rank-4 factorization with Zhang (2004)'s method. The intrinsic parameters as well as the extrinsic parameters are re- covered by capturing with cameras the 1D object's rotations around a fixed point. The algorithm is based on factorization of the scaled measurement matrix, the projective depth of which is estimated in an analytical equation instead of a recursive form. For more than three points on a 1D object, the approach of our algorithm is to extend the scaled measurement matrix. The obtained parameters are finally refined through the maximum likelihood inference. Simulations and experiments with real images verify that the proposed technique achieves a good trade-off between the intrinsic and extrinsic camera parameters. 展开更多

We study the phot odissociation dynamics of CS2 in the ultraviolet region using the time-sliced velocity map ion imaging technique.The S(3 Pj)+CS(X1E+)product channels were observed and identified at four wavelengths of 201.36,203.10,204.85 and 206.61 nm.In the measured images of S(3Pj=2,1,0),the vibrational states of the CS(X1E+)co-products were partially resolved and the vibrational state distributions were determined.Moreover,the product total kinetic energy releases and the anisotropic parameters were derived.The relatively small anisotropic parameter values indicate that the S(3Pj=2丄0)+CS(X1E+)channels are very likely formed via the indirect predissociation process of CS2.The study of the S(3Pj=2,1;0)+CS(X1E+)channels,which come from the spin-orbit coupling dissociation process of CS2,shows that nonadiabatic process plays a role in the ultraviolet photodissociation of CS2. 展开更多
