This review examines both domestic and international studies on the influence of musical or pseudo-musical rhythm priming on subsequent speech processing. First, it introduces the effects of rhythm priming on speech comprehension (semantics, syntax), finding that matching the priming rhythm with speech prosody can facilitate subsequent speech comprehension. Then, it discusses studies on how rhythm priming affects speech production speed, boundaries, and accent processing. The exact nature and potential mechanisms of how musical rhythm priming influences speech processing remain unclear, necessitating further empirical research.展开更多

Firstly,the scheme of verb subdivision is described. Secondly,a maximum entropy model is presented to distinguish verb subclasses. Finally,a statistical parser is developed to evaluate the verb subdivision. Experimental results indicate that the use of verb subclasses has a good influence on parsing performance.展开更多

An automatic approach based on association analysis to extract rules from corpus was presented. The method tries to discover rules relevant to external evidence by association analysis, without additional manual effort. These rules can be used to recognize the proper nouns in Chinese texts. The experimental result shows that our method is practical in some applications. Moreover, the method is language independent.展开更多

But very few studies foc...It has been debated whether preference for subject-extracted relative clauses in language processing is a universal rule, with evidence from both first and second language acquisition studies. But very few studies focus on learners of Chinese as a second language. The current research studied Chinese subject/object-extracted relative clauses processing among the learners of Chinese as a second language by a self-paced reading experiment. The results demonstrate a faster and more accurate processing of subject-extracted relative clauses in both subject and object modifying conditions, adding more evidence to the universal preference for the subject-extracted relative clauses. Both Frequency-Based Accounts and Memory-Based Accounts are discussed related to the current findings.展开更多
