试析高校英语语法教学与学生言语应用能力的培养

我国的英语语法教学一般都是以教学生翻译为主的,就是教师把英语先写出来,然后经过教师的引导,再教给学生中文的意思,这就是现在全国大部分的英语教学的方式,但是这样的教学效果不是很好。本文结合我国高校英语语法教学与学生言语应用才能的培育和我国英语教师教学的实际情况,对英语语法的教学进行客观的分析,提出了一些新的教学方法,使得学生熟悉语法知识和技能,并且把言语应用才能应用到教学中去,进一步提高英语综合运用的能力。

言语义·言语表达·言语应用——言语与言语学国际学术研讨会综述

由武汉大学和教育部语言文字应用研究所主办,三峡大学和湖北师范学院协办的“言语与言语学国际学术研讨会”于2002年10月25—28日在武汉召开。来自中国内地、澳门、英国、日本、韩国、新加坡、菲律宾、越南、土耳其等九个国家和地区的60多位代表出席了会议,提交论文、论文提要60余篇。

言语行为认定模式在双语间的应用研究

笔者提出的“言语行为认定模式”,包括8个维度、3个层级,旨在对言语行为进行惟一认定。3个层级的认定都伴有对言语行为动词范围的圈定并选取其中一个动词为该级别的言语行为命名的过程,认定后的单个言语行为可以作为言语行为单语内研究的语料收集标准或双语间对比研究的对比基础。

Study on the Practice Teaching Quality Guarantee and Monitoring System of English Program in Local Colleges and Universities

In today＇ s society, there are increasingly more new requirements on English education in local colleges and universities, and also there are some problems to be exposed. A great difference exists between the language application ability of learners and the actual conditions of teaching; great investments are put by both schools and teachers into teaching, but the teaching quality is not improved and also the teaching effect is not very ideal; the pass rate and excellent rate of CET4 and CET6 are pursued by many Chinese colleges and universities, and the strategy with an ocean of paper and examination-oriented intensive training methods are even applied, so that the internal rules of language teaching are seriously damaged.

Elastoplastic solutions for single piles under combined vertical and lateral loads

In order to improve the reliability of the design and calculation of single piles under the combined vertical and lateral loads, the solutions were presented based on the subgrade reaction method, in which the ultimate soil resistance was considered and the coefficient of subgrade reaction was assumed to be a constant. The corresponding computational program was developed using FORTRAN language. A comparison between the obtained solutions and the model test results was made to show the validity of the obtained solutions. The calculation results indicate that both the maximum lateral displacement and bending moment increase with the increase of the vertical and lateral loads and the pile length above ground, while decrease as the pile stiffness, the coefficient of subgrade reaction and the yielding displacement of soil increase. It is also shown that the pile head condition controls the pile responses and the vertical load may cause the instability problem to the pile. In general, the proposed method can be employed to calculate the pile responses independent of the magnitude of the pile deflection.

Lexical approach to college English teaching

This paper discusses the lexical approach in college English teaching and learning. The lexical approach can help students learn to use English in an idiomatic way rather than in a Chinese way which may cause misunderstanding or confusion of native English speakers. As for the college English Teaching in China, the lexical approach works better than the traditional word-based teaching and learning. It can help students to learn ＂real＂ or ＂authentic＂ English and improve the students＇ ability to use English in all-around way.

Probes Into Application of Multi-media Technology in Teaching Chinese as the Second Language Acquisition Class

The multi-media teaching method refers to using computer as a teaching assistant in the teaching Chinese as the second language （TCSL） class. The purpose of employing multi-media technology is to encourage students＇ class participation, giving them explicit and specific impression of abstract contents and cultivating their intuitive grasp of linguistic points. Based on the current study of usage of multi-media technology in class teaching, this paper attempts to investigate mainly on its positive influence of multi-media technology in teaching.

On Dilemma Analysis and Reasonable Measure Construction of Higher Vocational College English

English is used an important course of higher vocational colleges, which can greatly improve stuctents＂ language application ability to a great extent and it can also make students understand western culture knowledge through foreign language learning. But in current higher vocational colleges, it faces many dilemmas. Only by correctly analyzing these dilemmas will it propose corresponding reasonab!e solutions, which is good for English education development of higher vocational colleges and improving English level of higher vocational college students.

Contextual Adaptation of Language Choices -With Reference to Obama＇s 2015 State of the Union Address

An empirical research is done on how political Obama＇s 2015 State of the Union Address as the corpora sample speeches adapt to context in the framework of adaptation theory, taking This paper shows that language choices in the State of the Union Address are adaptive to all the levels of the context, including communicative context （language users, mental world, social world, and physical world） and linguistic context. It is confirmed one of the theoretical stances of adaptation theory that there is no language use without being adaptive to context.

Development and application of geochemical data processing system based on fractal theory

GC-GIS system is a geochemical data processing system based on fractal theory. The system realized quantity statistics function by calling Surfer and MapInfo software, and it is compiled with Visual Basic language. This system is designed to integrate the functions both quantity statistics of Surfer and spatial data management of MapInfo. A new algorithm of fractal is added up to GC-GIS. Taking example for Weichang region of Hebei to test the system, the processing results show that the model can match the real distribution of mine well.

Negative effect of instruction on L2 learners＇ pragmatic development

The present paper discusses three major sources of negative effect of classroom instruction on L2 learners＇ pragmatic development： inadequate or inappropriate metapragmatic input, non-authentic classroom discourse and grammar-oriented pedagogy, then proposes some pedagogical suggestions on developing pragmatic competence.

A Proposal for a New Curriculum for EFL Education of China： Integrated Content-Based Instruction

Much debate has surrounded the question of whether middle-school students can learn academic content if they do not yet have a high level of proficiency in the English language, but content-based instruction has already been used to promote both the linguistic and academic development of CLD （culturally and linguistically diverse） students in the grade K-12 in Western countries. This proposal discusses the issues and dilemmas about the curriculum implementation in the EFL （English as a foreign language） education in China’s middle-schools and examines the nature of integrated contend-based （ICB） instruction by providing its rationale, definition, evolution, and delivery, and based on the above, it explores an excellent venue that the ICB could provide for Chinese student’s EFL learning and calls for the application of the curriculum of ICB into the EFL instruction in China’s secondary education.

English Cultural Introduction Teaching from the Perspective of Applied Linguistics

In the process of learning a language, the language communication from the perspective of applied linguistics cannot exist without certain cultural tendency. Practice proves that an appropriate introduction of the background culture having a certain relationship with language environment can enrich the knowledge structure of students, and effectively remove the obstacles in the process of English language communication, so that the cognitive ability is improved. In this paper, applied linguistics as well as the concept of cultural introduction teaching theory is briefly elaborated, and the necessities of cultural introduction teaching and the signiflcances of English cultural introduction teaching are analyzed, and also some rules necessary to follow in the introduction teaching of English culture are introduced, and then the implementation strategies are discussed, so as to provide a reference for a large number of educational workers.

The Application of Error Analysis in College English Teaching

Error analysis theory is an important aspect in SLA （second language acquisition） study, which is quite significant for exploring English teaching rules and improving teaching methods. Error analysis theory is also a useful means in English teaching and study. Through analyzing learners＇ errors, some regular patterns will be discovered. Application of Game Theory in Social Science

Game theory is a tool for making decision for all scientists which it can predict the future. So many times, not only in professional life but in private life game theory can help people to make best decision. What make this article different with other game theory article is that it has written for arts science which they are not so much fluent in maths. The object of this article is to demonstrate the possibilities of game theory as an instrument for study of social science. The approach used to describe elementary games theoretic models as an integral part of social science with a collection of example to understand subject better. This paper addresses to theoreticians and practitioners of social science not particularly versed in game theory, rather than to those who are fluent in its mathematical language and intricacies.

A Study on Hawking Language in Guangzhou Applying Sociolinguistics

From the perspective of sociolinguistics, this paper applies both observation method of covert investigation and oral inter-view to study the hawking language in Guangzhou, including its distribution area, code types, content and its relationships with districts and businesses.The survey results show that hawking language reflects the social language stratification condition in Guangzhou.

Leaming Strategies Applied by Students at University Level

The presentation aims at addressing the most frequently applied strategies for language learning adopted by Polish students of English at the university level. For the purpose of data collection, R. Oxford＇s Strategy Inventory for Language Learning （SILL） is adopted. The analysis is an attempt at identifying common existing patterns or preferred ways of language processing among learners at advanced level of language mastery.

The Application of Task-Based Language Teaching to ＂Longman English Interactive＂

Interactive courses are becoming more and more popular today. LEI （Longman English Interactive） is one of them Recently, many teachers in China's Mainland learn to adopt TBLT （task-based language teaching） in these interactive courses including LEI. However, some of them feel confused about how to apply TBLT more effectively in their classes since they may not understand clearly why TBLT is such a ＂matching＂ teaching method for this type of classes. To illustrate this issue, this paper sets LEI as an example. It firstly analyzes the syllabus design of LEI based on the theories of communicative teaching approach, then discusses about why the renowned TBLT is a suitable method to organize the class, and finally exemplifies how TBLT can be fully applied to the course in real classrooms. The objective of this paper is to inspire English teachers to have a better application of TBLT in interactive classes alike.

Transdisciplinarity Exploitation of Maternal Language, Based on the Model of C.P.M.P.S Application in the Art Subject

The presented paper puts in discussion the dilemma of the linear supports of formal teaching and learning processes of regular school, coexisting with an inter and transdisciplinarity of the process mentioned above. In this perspective, the author wonders about the subjectivity of the students＇ apprenticeship and about the way they can change, according to the methodological variants, as well as the context. So, he intents to explore the C.P.M.P.S （Creative and Participative Method of Problem Solution） in the development of Portuguese written language competence, through the art subject. In this paper, we can see the increase of different variables from the perspective of students and teachers which validates in some manner of the teaching methodology.
