Based on the combined hydraulic calculation for the eastern network region at the Pearl River estuary and several outlets to the Lingdingyang Bay, the sediment calculation modelling was introduced in the establishment of the sediment mathematical model for Lingdingyang Bay and the eastern region with one and two dimensional flow calculation. Model adjustment and verification were performed in conjunction with field data. The simulated results coincide well with measured data.In addition the model is applied to predict the shore-line planning scheme of Lingdingyang Bay.The theoretical criterion is provided for the shore line plan in the model.And a new mathematical simulated method is put out to research the planning engineering concerned with one-dimensional net rivers and two-dimensional estuary. 展开更多

Choosing the best path during unmanned air vehicle (UAV) flying is the target of the UAV mission planning problem. Because of its nearly constant flight height, the UAV mission planning problem can be treated as a 2-D (horizontal) path arrangement problem. By modeling the antiaircraft threat, the UAV mission planning can be mapped to the traveling seaman problem (TSP). A new algorithm is presented to solve the TSP. The algorithm combines the traditional ant colony system (ACS) with particle swarm optimization (PSO), thus being called the AC-PSO algorithm. It uses one by one tour building strategy like ACS to determine that the target point can be chosen like PSO. Experiments show that AC-PSO synthesizes both ACS and PSO and obtains excellent solution of the UAV mission planning with a higher accuracy. 展开更多

Abstract Production planning under uncertainty is considered as one of the most important problems in plant-wide optimization. In this article, first, a stochastic programming model with uniform distribution assumption is developed for refinery production planning under demand uncertainty, and then a hybrid programming model incorporating the linear programming model with the stochastic programming one by a weight factor is proposed. Subsequently, piecewise linear approximation functions are derived and applied to solve the hybrid programming model-under uniform distribution assumption. Case studies show that the linear approximation algorithm is effective to solve.the hybrid programming model, along with an error≤0.5% when the deviatiorgmean≤20%. The simulation results indicate that the hybrid programming model with an appropriate weight factor (0.1-0.2) can effectively improve the optimal operational strategies under demand uncertainty, achieving higher profit than the linear programming model and the stochastic programming one with about 1.3% and 0.4% enhancement, respectavely. 展开更多

In order to effectively diagnose the infeasible linear programming (LP) model of production planning in refinery, the article proposed three stages strategy based on constraints’ classification and infeasibility analysis. Generally, infeasibility sources involve structural inconsistencies and data errors, and the data errors are further classified intoⅠ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ. The three stages strategy are: (1) Check data when they are inputted to detect data error Ⅰ and repair them; (2) Inspect data whether they are accorded with material balance before solving the LP model to identify data error Ⅱ and repair them; (3) Find irreducible inconsistent system of infeasible LP model and give diagnosis information priority-ranked to recognize data error Ⅲ and structural inconsistencies. These stages could be automatically executed by computer, and the approach has been applied to diagnose the infeasible model well in our graphic I/O petro-chemical industry modeling system. 展开更多

We discuss how to describe and discover configuration of robot. Furthermore, we describe its motion planning based on the appraisal function and the adjacency matrix which is effective to solve the computationally difficult problem and optimize the system motion path during the self-reconfiguration process. The urban-rural integrated area in Sanshui District of Foshan City was selected for research, and the impact of landscape pattern around the No.269 provincial highway was analyzed based on the land-use data in 2014 using the spatial analysis in GIS and the moving window method. The results showed that:(1) within the scope of a 2 km-range buffer zone, with a low degree of heterogeneity, land for construction use and water area were the dominant land-use types, while with a high degree of fragmentation, cultivated land, wooded land, grassland, garden land, land for other farm uses, and land unused were scattered;(2) the 250-m square moving window could well detect the change characteristics of landscape pattern on both sides of the road;(3) the gradient analysis of landscape pattern in urban-rural integrated area, which was conducted with the aid of a 750-m transect on both sides of the road, indicated that there were significant differences between landscape indexes both in the urban-rural integrated area and on both sides of the road;(4) the road that had an obvious cutting and fragmentation impact on the landscape was an important factor leading to the increasing fragmentation and heterogeneity to regional landscapes. 展开更多

However, this kind of methodology usually suffers increasing computational burden associated with formulation and solution, particularly in the face of complex PLMFs. Motivated by these challenges, this contribution introduces a novel approach free of additional binary variables to formulate FNLP with complex PLMFs, leading to superior performance in reducing computational complexity as well as simplifying formulation. The process started by defining the maintenance requirements of warship equipment. Next, a planning scheme was development for a maintenance network. An optimization target for the plan and indexes for assessment were established. Based on the above work, a simulation model was proposed with two layers: a base and a workshop. Dispatching rules were then formulated for the simulation. Experimental results proved the validity of the model and the dispatching algorithm. It was found that the model can solve the capacity evaluation problem for maintenance systems and provides a scientific basis for decision-maker to make decisions regarding equipment maintenance. 展开更多
