Most of the natural radionuclides are found to have specific activities below the detectable limit. 40K has values ranging from 0.104to 32.97 Bq/kg; 137Cs from 0.009 to 0.52 Bq/kg; and 95Zr less than 0.077 Bq/kg. The annual effective dose for a male and a female adult is 18μSv and 12.7μSv, respectively. Both are less than the value recommended by the International Commission of Radiological Protection.展开更多

In this me...In this paper, Endurance Time Analysis (ETA) method which is a new time-history based dynamic pushover procedure is introduced and its application in linear analysis of concrete arch dams is investigated. In this method the structure is subjected to gradually intensifying acceleration functions and its performance is evaluated based on the length of the time duration that can satisfy required performance criteria. For this purpose Dez arch dam is selected as case study, fluid-structure interaction is taken into account and F.E. model of the system is excited in three performance levels. ETA method gives an approximation of maximum response at the equivalent target time, resulted from analyzing the system based on natural records. Extracted results are displacement, velocity and acceleration of the crest at crown cantilever. Results show using of ETA method can reduce at least 50% in number of analyses and 70% in total time of analyses at the current case. Furthermore, it is found that although the results of the ETA are not exactly consistent with the results of time-history analyses using real ground motions, errors are reasonable and ETA can identify performance levels of the dam with acceptable accuracy.展开更多

The cross-communication between the two signaling pathways regulates several important physiological or pathological processes. However, the molecule mechanism underlying EGFR transactivation remains poorly understood. Here, we aim to study the GPCR-mediated EGFR transactivation process using the single-molecule fluorescence imaging and tracking approach.We found that although EGFR existed as monomers at the plasma membrane of resting cells, they became dimers and thus diffused slower following the activation of β2-adrenergic receptor(β2-AR) by isoproterenol(ISO). We further proved thatβ2-AR-mediated changes of EGFR in stoichiometry and dynamics were mediated by Src kinase. Thus, the observations obtained via the single-molecule imaging and tracking methods shed new insights into the molecular mechanism of EGFR transactivation at single molecule level.展开更多
