Dynamic Assessment on Regional Eco-environmental Quality Using AHP-Statistics Model—A Case Study of Chaohu Lake Basin 被引量:8

An indicator system closely connected with eco-environment, in which indicator involves in such fields as society, economy, resources, environment and ecology, is first proposed for eco-environmental quality assessment. Then, a hierarchical model with four levels is established by virtue of these indicators and attributes. In the model, weights of indicators and attributes are determined by combining Delphi method with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and a statistic method is used to eliminate the influences arising from the differences in dimension and magnitude of indicators. On these grounds, an AHP-statistics model is provided for regional eco-environmental quality assessment. As a case, such AHP-statistics model is utilized in the dynamic analysis of regional eco-environmental assessment in Chaohu Lake basin. Study results show that natural environmental quality in the watershed was in the declining state while social environmental quality was in a markedly improved situation from 1996, and the synthetic eco-environmental quality was gradually and slowly improved under the common influences of both natural and social environmental factors. Example of application testified the capacities of above methodology to evaluate the real and dynamic state of regional eco-environmental quality. 展开更多

Nowadays, the check of the organoleptic characteristics for the evaluation of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) quality is regulated by the European Union (EU) authorities, which indicate the use of the panel test (PT). It is composed by a team of specialists that give a numerical value to many characteristics about flavours, synthesising a sensory analysis. Each expert answers questions about the aroma by assigning the adequate scores to each oil. The evaluation becomes objective by applying the statistical analysis of all the scores given by the participants: This is the definition of "measure" of Russell. The PT can be considered a true standard "metrological system" (considering the number of questions in the questionnaire), while the perceptions of the testers are the solicitations of it. To allow access to an expensive evaluation process by small companies, this work proposes to "disseminate" the properties of the metrology represented by PT. The results of the PT are arranged in an unsupervised artificial neural network (ANN), the Kohonen map, which represents the synthesis of self-organised output that has only the goal, in this paper, to make readable PT results. The dissemination process is obtained by the gas chromatographic (GC) analysis of each oil sample and through the identification of peaks corresponding to the perceptions. These signals are used for the training of the supervised Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) ANN, with the back propagation algorithm, whose outputs are represented by the results of the PT. This procedure is exact a "metrological dissemination of a standard" and also the aim of the work: to classify EVOO without always resorting to PT. 展开更多

However, conventional measuring systems are provided for particular mode measurements. This research paper presents and compares several conventional and modem measuring systems and methods. The measured value is roundness, one of the basic shapes of cross section in mechanical engineering. This paper arises in search of answers for the question whether conventional measuring techniques and equipments are made redundant because of the modern ones. As a result, many research fields have focused on the study and improvement of such devices. The current Smartphones are the best example of the research and the evolution of these technologies. Moreover, the software design and development is progressively more focused on the user; finding and developing new mobile interaction models. In order to do so, knowing what kind of problems the users could have is vital to enhance a bad interaction design. Unfortunately, a good software quality evaluation takes more time than the companies can invest. The contribution revealed in this work is a new approach to quality testing methodology focused on mobile interactions and their context in use where external capturing tools, such as cameras, are suppressed and the evaluation environments are the same as the user will use the application. By this approach, the interactions can be captured without changing the context and consequently, the data will be more accurate, enabling the evaluation of the quality-in-use in real environments. 展开更多

A New Multi-platform Data Acquisition System for Power Quality Metrological Certification

In order to provide power quality monitoring activities with metrological certification, a DAS (data acquisition system) has been designed, realized and characterized. The system allows acquisition on tri-phases plus neutral lines picking up 499 samples per period of the fundamental at 50 Hz. To ensure certified measurements, the system gets external certified time and voltage references. The system uses a FTDI Virtual Com Port Driver to communicate data over High Speed RS232 virtual interface and it does not need any advanced programming skill. The choice to use a virtual serial communication makes the data acquisition software portable over many platforms, regardless by the development environment and by the programming language. To test the proposed device some custom software have been written in many programming language (C^#, VB6, LabView, MatLab), moreover in order to characterize the device the most common ADC (analog to digital converter) performing test have been applied. 展开更多

In this report, we find the MBH estimated from the formalism of Wang et al. are more consistent with those from the MBH-δ, relation than those from previous single-epoch mass estimators, using a large sample of AGNs. Furthermore, we examine the differences between the line widths of Hβ and Mg II in detail by comparing their line profiles. The flux around the line core and that in the wing of both Hβ and Mg II show an opposite variation tendency, which indicates the BLR is multi-componential. The contribution of the wing makes the FWHM deviate from δline, and thus bias the MBH estimated from previous single-epoch mass estimators. Thus the correction on the formalism suggested by Wang et al. is crucial to MBn estimation. 展开更多
