With this method, two rotor flux components are selected as the state variables, and the rotor speed as an estimated parameter is regarded as an augmented state variable. The algorithm with reduced order decreases the computational complexity and makes the proposed estimator feasible to be implemented in real time. The simulation results show high accuracy of the estimation algorithm and good performance of speed control, and verify the usefulness of the proposed algorithm.展开更多

The configuration of the sensors is described. The calculation method and the mathematical model of the projectile attitude based on the sensor configuration are discussed. The basic calculation method including the Magsonde Window, the proof of the ratios of maximums and minimums and the calculation of the attitude angles are analyzed in theory. Finally, the system is simulated under the given conditions. The simulation result indicates that the estimated attitude angles are in agreement with the true attitude angles.展开更多

Simulation results and theoretical design results were compared to confirm the simulation model. Based on the confirmed simulation model, the simulation results of pressure and flow of the hydraulic system were analyzed. The dynamic simulation method is very helpful for designing and analyzing the performance of hydraulic system and further optimization design. The aim of this paper is to develop a simple EV model and predict its energy consumption with a variable and fixed ratio gearbox over a standard driving cycle in order to understand whether this could offer significan...The aim of this paper is to develop a simple EV model and predict its energy consumption with a variable and fixed ratio gearbox over a standard driving cycle in order to understand whether this could offer significant efficiency gains. The powertrain of a generic electric vehicle was modelled in Matlab / Simulink using the QSS Toolkit. The electric vehicle was then fitted with different transmissions with different levels of complexity. Simulations were done to investigate the energy consumptions across 6 standard driving cycles. The emerging conclusions are that it is possible to improve overall energy consumption levels by around 5 to 12 % with a variable ratio gearbox depending on the driving cycle used. However, there are many other practical considerations which must be weighed against this positive result - and the paper discusses the impact of several of these such as, gearbox efficiency, additional weight, cost and complexity, effect on drivability and potential for motor downsizing.展开更多

By us...To deal with the effect of compressible fluids on the supercavitating flow over the subsonic disk cavitator of a projectile, a finite volume method is formulated based on the ideal compressible potential theory. By using the continuity equation and Tait state equation as well as Riabouchinsky closure model, an“inverse problem”solution is presented for the supercavitating flow. According to the impenetrable condition on the surface of supercavity, a new iterative method for the supercavity shape is designed to deal with the effect of compressibility on the supercavity shape, pressure drag coefficient and density field. By this method, the very low cavitation number can be computed. The calculated results agree well with the experimental data and empirical formula. At the subsonic condition, the fluid compressibility will make supercavity length and radius increase. The supercavity expands, but remains spheroid. The effect on the first 1/3 part of supercavity is not obvious. The drag coefficient of projectile increases as the cavitation number or Mach number increases. With Mach number increasing, the compressibility is more and more significant. The compressibility must be considered as far as the accurate calculation of supercavitating flow is concerned.展开更多

A comprehensive study was conducted to understand the effects of the geometrical parameters on the static pressure of air and methane, and mole fraction uniformity of methane at the outlet of ejector. The distribution chamber was applied to balance the pressure and improve the mixing process of methane and air in front of the fire hole. A distribution orifice plate with seven distribution orifices was introduced at the outlet of the ejector to improve the flow organization. It is found that the nozzle exit position of 5 mm and nozzle diameter d 〉1.3 mm should be used to improve the flow organization and realize the well premixed combustion for this designed ejector.展开更多

Fuzzy controllers for throttle opening and CVT speed ratio were designed, and power performance and fuel economy of both vehicles respectively equipped with conventional CVT system and new transmission system wrere compared and analyzed by simulation. The results show that power performance and fuel economy of the vehicle equipped with new transmission system are better than that equipped with conventional CVT, thus the rationality of the parameter design method and control algorithm are verified.展开更多

These economies'currencies are under a constant pres...China and other emerging market economies hoM large amounts of US dollar (USD)-denominated assets while their enterprises mainly raise funds from domestic banks. These economies'currencies are under a constant pressure to appreciate. The authors of this paper apply the model used in Bernanke et al. (1999) to small open economies in order to find out the optimal exchange rate regime for the emerging market economies. Findings indicate that a country's choice of exchange rate regime is directly associated with its percentage of USD-denominated assets and the strength of the financial accelerator effect. A managedfloating rate regime is more desirable than afreefloating regime because of its ability to better avoid liquidity traps given appreciation pressure. A managed floating rate regime also outperforms a fixed exchange rate regime because the former tends to cause less welfare loss. These factors make a managed floating rate regime the optimal choice for emerging market economies. Lastly, the authors propose policy steps and suggestions based specifically on China's current situation.展开更多

This control aims to stabilize and hold small objects on the platform. We parsed the step response in X and Y axes, hence we found the first and second-order models for each one. We did some further analyses to decide which one would better represent the behavior of the system. The MATLAB software provided step response for the model empirically obtained and latter compared it to experimental data acquired in the trials. Accelerometers and gyro sensors from the MPU-6050 sensor measured the angular position of platform on X and Y axes. In order to improve measurements accuracy and eliminate noise effects, we implemented the complementary filter to the firmware system. We used Arduino to control servomotors through PWM pulses and perform data acquisition.展开更多

T...A new general robust fuzzy approach was presented to control the position and the attitude of unmanned flying vehicles(UFVs). Control of these vehicles was challenging due to their nonlinear underactuated behaviors. The proposed control system combined great advantages of generalized indirect adaptive sliding mode control(IASMC) and fuzzy control for the UFVs. An on-line adaptive tuning algorithm based on Lyapunov function and Barbalat lemma was designed, thus the stability of the system can be guaranteed. The chattering phenomenon in the sliding mode control was reduced and the steady error was also alleviated. The numerical results, for an underactuated quadcopter and a high speed underwater vehicle as case studies, indicate that the presented adaptive design of fuzzy sliding mode controller performs robustly in the presence of sensor noise and external disturbances. In addition, online unknown parameter estimation of the UFVs, such as ground effect and planing force especially in the cases with the Gaussian sensor noise with zero mean and standard deviation of 0.5 m and 0.1 rad and external disturbances with amplitude of 0.1 m/s2 and frequency of 0.2 Hz, is one of the advantages of this method. These estimated parameters are then used in the controller to improve the trajectory tracking performance.展开更多

A mathematical model is built to calculate the transmissi...For the purpose of improving efficiency and realizing start–stop function, an electric oil pump(EOP) is integrated into an 8-speed automatic transmission(AT). A mathematical model is built to calculate the transmission power loss and the hydraulic system leakage. Based on this model, a flow-based control strategy is developed for EOP to satisfy the system flow requirement. This control strategy is verified through the forward driving simulation. The results indicate that there is a best combination for the size of mechanical oil pump(MOP) and EOP in terms of minimum energy consumption. In order to get a quick and smooth starting process, control strategies of the EOP and the on-coming clutch are proposed. The test environment on a prototype vehicle is built to verify the feasibility of the integrated EOP and its control strategies. The results show that the selected EOP can satisfy the flow requirement and a quick and smooth starting performance is achieved in the start–stop function. This research has a high value for the forward design of EOP in automatic transmissions with respect to efficiency improvement and start–stop function.展开更多

To allow an optimization of such process and provide data for the validation of numerical calculation, the spray evaporation in a countercurrent air stream was studied experimentally. Measurements were taken for different flow parameters, such as airflow rate and liquid flow rate in order to provide reliable data. Phase-Doppler anemometry (PDA) was applied to obtain the spatial change of the droplet size spectrum in the flow field and to measure droplet size-velocity correlations. These local measured profiles of droplet mean velocities, velocity fluctuations and droplet mean diameters were obtained by averaging over all droplet size classes. Moreover, DualPDA signal processing allows accurate determination of the droplet mass flux and local concentration, from which the global evaporation rates could also be determined. These local temperature profiles were measured using the thermocouple and acquired by data acquisition system based on virtual instrument (VI) technology.展开更多

The performance of microreactors is greatly affected by the velocity field in the microchannel. The flow field is disturbed by the cylindrical etch holes caused by air dust on the microchannel surface during its processing procedure. In this approach, a two-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model is put forward to study the effect of etch holes on flow field. The influenced area of single or two concave etch holes is studied for the case of laminar flow. The hole diameter, the Reynolds number and the distance between the center of holes are found to have influences on the flow field. Numerical results indicate that the effects of etch hole on the flow field should be evaluated and the way of choosing the economic class of cleanroom for microreactor manufacture is presented.展开更多

文摘A nonlinear robust controller was presented to improve the tracking control performance of a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle(AHV) which is subjected to system parametric uncertainties and unknown additive time-varying disturbances.The longitudinal dynamic model for the flexible AHV was used for the control development.High-gain observers were designed to compensate for the system uncertainties and additive disturbances.Small gain theorem and Lyapunov based stability analysis were utilized to prove the stability of the closed loop system.Locally uniformly ultimately bounded tracking of the vehicle's velocity,altitude and attack angle were achieved under aeroelastic effects,system parametric uncertainties and unknown additive disturbances.Matlab/Simulink simulation results were provided to validate the robustness of the proposed control design.The simulation results demonstrate that the tracking errors stay in a small region around zero.

文摘For the purpose of improving efficiency and realizing start–stop function, an electric oil pump(EOP) is integrated into an 8-speed automatic transmission(AT). A mathematical model is built to calculate the transmission power loss and the hydraulic system leakage. Based on this model, a flow-based control strategy is developed for EOP to satisfy the system flow requirement. This control strategy is verified through the forward driving simulation. The results indicate that there is a best combination for the size of mechanical oil pump(MOP) and EOP in terms of minimum energy consumption. In order to get a quick and smooth starting process, control strategies of the EOP and the on-coming clutch are proposed. The test environment on a prototype vehicle is built to verify the feasibility of the integrated EOP and its control strategies. The results show that the selected EOP can satisfy the flow requirement and a quick and smooth starting performance is achieved in the start–stop function. This research has a high value for the forward design of EOP in automatic transmissions with respect to efficiency improvement and start–stop function.

文摘The process in the countercurrent humidifier of HAT cycle involves the evaporation of atomized liquids in a turbulent environment. To allow an optimization of such process and provide data for the validation of numerical calculation, the spray evaporation in a countercurrent air stream was studied experimentally. Measurements were taken for different flow parameters, such as airflow rate and liquid flow rate in order to provide reliable data. Phase-Doppler anemometry (PDA) was applied to obtain the spatial change of the droplet size spectrum in the flow field and to measure droplet size-velocity correlations. These local measured profiles of droplet mean velocities, velocity fluctuations and droplet mean diameters were obtained by averaging over all droplet size classes. Moreover, DualPDA signal processing allows accurate determination of the droplet mass flux and local concentration, from which the global evaporation rates could also be determined. These local temperature profiles were measured using the thermocouple and acquired by data acquisition system based on virtual instrument (VI) technology.

文摘Microchannel reactors are commonly used in micro-chemical technology. The performance of microreactors is greatly affected by the velocity field in the microchannel. The flow field is disturbed by the cylindrical etch holes caused by air dust on the microchannel surface during its processing procedure. In this approach, a two-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model is put forward to study the effect of etch holes on flow field. The influenced area of single or two concave etch holes is studied for the case of laminar flow. The hole diameter, the Reynolds number and the distance between the center of holes are found to have influences on the flow field. Numerical results indicate that the effects of etch hole on the flow field should be evaluated and the way of choosing the economic class of cleanroom for microreactor manufacture is presented.
