In this study, sensitive kernel principal component analysis (SKPCA) is proposed to improve process monitoring performance, i.e., to deal with the discordance of T2 statistic and squared prediction error SVE statistic and reduce missed detection rates. T2 statistic can be used to measure the variation di rectly along each KPC and analyze the detection performance as well as capture the most useful information in a process. With the calculation of the change rate of T2 statistic along each KPC, SKPCA selects the sensitive kernel principal components for process monitoring. A simulated simple system and Tennessee Eastman process are employed to demonstrate the efficiency of SKPCA on online monitoring. The results indicate that the monitoring performance is improved significantly.展开更多

In order to develop a parametric design system of typical parts compatible with heterogeneous CAD systems, this paper presents a framework of a network-oriented design system of typical parts, enabled by eXtensible Markup Language (XML), capable of providing parametric design. Firstly, an overview of the framework is presented. In order to map the part feature hierarchy tree of 3D model into an XML tree, an XML-based part template is introduced. The methods of XML-based parametric design and parametric design navigation are described. Finally, an application example of prototype system under the Pro/Engineer platform is given. The application indicates that the proposed framework is valid for parametric design of typical parts/components in heterogeneous CAD systems.展开更多

Based on a numerical calculation, the explosion limits of combustible gases were studied, showing that these limits are related to the concentrations of different components in the mixture. With an increase of C4H10 and C6H14, the Lower ExplosionLimit (LEL) and Upper Explosion-Limit (UEL) of a combustible gas mixture will decrease clearly. For every 0.1% increase in C4H10 and C6H14, the LEL decreases by about 0.19% and the UEL by about 0.3%. The results also prove that, by increasing the amount of H2, the UEL of a combustible gas mixture will increase considerably. If the level of HE increases by 0.1%, the UEL will increase by about 0.3%. However, H2 has only a small effect on the LEL of the combustible gas mixture. Our study provides a theoretical foundation for judging the explosion risk of an explosive gas mixture in mines.展开更多

Previous archival research on the value relevance of FCTAs has documented a weak or non-existent link between FCTAs and firm valuation (Pinto, 2005). The hypothesized reasons could reside in the econometric method employed, in the use of as-if numbers, and in the missing consideration of the differential effect that exchange rate changes have on firms of varying levels of capital intensiveness. This study adds to the existing literature by empirically testing the value relevance of as-reported FCTAs numbers in the earnings and book value model the Ohlson-like interacted model through panel data techniques. The main finding of this study is that as-reported FCTAs are significantly and incrementally value-relevant, when their parameter estimates are allowed to vary in the cross-section.展开更多

The typical chert specimens were sampled from Pengcuolin, Xialu and Zongzhuo profiles. Multivariate statistical analysis is applied for effectively extracting the geochemical information of the chert, and the raw data are processed by R-factor analysis. The first, second and third factors representing terrigenous, authigenic and hydrothermal constituents are extracted from the analysis results. From Pengcuolin, Xialu to Zongzhuo chert profiles, the variance ratios of continental and authigenetic factors become higher ( 51. 1% →62.9 % →91.6 % ), while hydrothermal factor rapidly decrease ( 40. 9 % →32.2 % →0 ). This tend- eney also present in the analysis for traee elements, indicating that Pengeuolin chert is hydrothermal origin, The Zongzhuo chert belong to normal sedimentation and the Xialu chert exhibit normal deposition interacted with hydrothermal sedimentation. The facts provide significant implications for understanding the diagenetic and palaeomineralization information of southern Tibet.展开更多

The two-pion correlation functions of the partially coherent sources contain a phase which is sensitive to the asymmetry of the source emission function. We investigate the influence of source opacity and expansion in high energy heavy ion collisions on the phase by Monte Carlo calculations. We find that these two physical effects shift the phase from zero. The Gaussian-formula fit results to the simulated two-pion correlation functions indicate that the opaque and expansion effects lead to a smaller interferometry radius Rout and a larger 2 parameter.展开更多
