胡家湾墓群位于荆门市沙洋县拾回桥镇丁岗村十五组(原许店村六组),地处一南北向自然岗地上,东北和西南分别为上胡家湾和下胡家湾居民点,东临拾回桥镇丁岗村至五里铺镇刘集村的公路,西部距原许店泵站水渠约60米。墓群中心地理坐标为东经112°16′15.0″,北纬30°38′19.6″(图一)。
