《荀子》中“情”字的哲学意涵

荀子一方面继承了在他之前"情"字的各种义项,另一方面又将"情"视为"好恶喜怒哀乐"的抽象概括,更是把"情"视为"性之质","欲"之源,是"恶"性的集中表现。荀子以"欲"释情,实际上并非片面的否定情,他已经看到了"情之欲"在社会发展中的推动作用,这不能不说是一种巨大的进步。荀子性情思想的最大创新在于,把"情"与"伪"、"知"、"能"等知性方面的范畴结合起来相比较而言,"对心言性",从而使我们可以在性情交接出纳的运动之中,来把握"情"的提升、改造。另一方面,荀子以以"礼"则情而近于"法",这是脱离先秦儒家传统思想的轨范的,他并没有真正继承孔孟人学思想的传统,这为秦始皇在中国的暴政统治,乃至几千年的专制集权制度奏响了理论的先声。

AUTONOMOUS AGENT FRAMEWORK AND ITS DECISION-MAKING

Autonomy, a key property associated with the agent, is an important topic in the current research of the agent theory. Although no definition of the agent autonomy is universally accepted, an important aspect of the agent autonomy is the decision-making capability of the agents. This paper investigates the autonomy of the agent, presents a framework for autonomous agent and discusses its decision-making process. Started with introducing a language for representing autonomous agent, a framework is proposed for modeling autonomous agent based on a BDI model and the situation calculus. Finally, a kind of decision-making process of the autonomous agent is presented.

On the mode of CRI English assisting college English teaching

The English News of CRI possesses many advantages such as abundance of information and being easily accessible for English learners within the mainland of China. Unfortunately, it has been ignored by most teachers of English and students. A Novel Feature-based Method for Sentiment Analysis of Chinese Product Reviews

Sentiment analysis of online reviews and other user generated content is an important research problem for its wide range of applications.In this paper,we propose a feature-based vector model and a novel weighting algorithm for sentiment analysis of Chinese product reviews.Specifically,an opinionated document is modeled by a set of feature-based vectors and corresponding weights.Different from previous work,our model considers modifying relationships between words and contains rich sentiment strength descriptions which are represented by adverbs of degree and punctuations.Dependency parsing is applied to construct the feature vectors.A novel feature weighting algorithm is proposed for supervised sentiment classification based on rich sentiment strength related information.The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method compared with a state of the art method using term level weighting algorithms.

A Monster We Love： Dexter＇s Reproductive Futures

While there has been significant scholarly attention to the Showtime Series Dexter （2006-13） and the fundamental choice between being good or evil that its protagonist Dexter Morgan must make, this article advances scholarship in three ways. Firstly, it examines Dexter＇s final twist in plot and the decision Dexter makes to finally embrace his ＂dark passenger＂ to argue for the necessity of the plot twist to the series, which scholarship has not yet performed. Secondly, by situating Dexter＇s decision within a framework focused on reproductive futurism, a revised and more nuanced approach to Dexter＇s ontological dilemma can be proffered. Finally, by locating Dexter＇s dark passenger within the theoretical frames of reproductive futurism and community this article adds an important dimension to notions of the monster conventionally rooted in theories of identity and subjectivity. In the final moments of the series everything changes for Dexter as his identity is redeemed for a reproductive future without guarantees, which this article argues is germane to considerations ofbiopolitics and community in the contemporary period.

Technology as Spectacle： Understanding the Burgeoning Role of Social Media in Special Events

This paper investigates how social media can be used as a communication tool throughout the event management process, how online social networking interfaces can allow consumers to become more engaged with special events, and how social media can be used to help gauge the social and cultural impact of special events. By synthesizing prominent literature that is peripherally related, this paper establishes both a base of knowledge for this new realm of inquiry, as well as identifying a platform for further research. The paper also adds to the knowledge based by creating a theoretical framework which brings together practice theory with situationist theory to present a new lens through which to examine this issue. From a theoretical standpoint, technology is said to be a reflection of society. If technology can be linked to society and society in turn can be equated with the spectacle then it is a natural progression to examine technology as spectacle. Therefore, using the two theories in tandem provides a very suitable lens to frame an investigation of technology as spectacle, and the viability of social media as a communication tool for special events.

Software Tool for the Implementation of the Methodology for Revitalization of High-Voltage Overhead Power Lines

In power systems, a large number of OPLs （overhead power lines） are more than 40 years old and some even exceed 50 years old. The key issue for power systems managers, public utilities companies and electrical engineers today concerns the manner in which available financial resources should be invested in these OPLs to provide the greatest impact on the power system as a whole and to address the OPLs that require urgent revitalization. This paper presents the application of the software tool RevOPL, developed using Microsoft Access utilizing the ＂methodology for revitalization of high-voltage OPLs＂. The aim is to present both the methodology and software to objectively evaluate the condition of an OPL and determine its remaining service life. The application of this software tool provides a proposal for the scheduling and scope of planned revitalization activities, which are obtained through the optimization of the technical characteristics while remaining within the available budget.

The Melodramatic Narrative and Ontological Quest in Demetria Martinez＇s Mother Tongue

The study deals with Demetria Martinez＇s Mother Tongue （1994）, which is a love story between a Mexican American woman and a Salvadoran refugee. The female protagonist, Mary, delves into connotations of love, expanding it to understanding of the other. The story deploys politically imbricated religious practices in relation to the U.S. Sanctuary movement in the 80s. Mary＇s amorous encounter with the other leads her to discover the expansion of friendship and solidarity and, ultimately to rediscover religiosity based on reawakened ethics. This study argues that the melodramatic mode employed in this novel implicitly reveals an inherent aspiration for the sacred, albeit not fully representable. The author＇s involvement in the genre of romance and the melodramatic mode ironically attests to her striving for the spiritual ideal and ontological answer. In the end, this essay reveals that drawing on the popular melodramatic narrative, the romantic engagement with the alterity can be more efficiently introduced into the ontological quest for the absolute presence.

Talk about the necessity and realistic significance of the separation between the financial accounting and tax accounting

The tax accounting and financial accounting＇ s different target, different legal basis, different accounting principles as well as the different time of recognition between incomes and expenses will result in significant differences between accounting income and taxable income. We think that drawing on the experience of the United States and other countries to establish the specialized accounting theory and methods, the implementation of tax accounting and financial accounting separation is an inevitable requirement. Whether the financial accounting and tax accounting should be separated, of which the key lies in the degree of difference and coordinability between accounting income and taxable income. We believe that from our tax system, financial system and the history and current status of the development of accounting systems perspective, it do not exist realistic necessity of the separation between the tax accounting and the financial accounting.

Escaping and Transforming Consciousness, Emotions, and Body

＂Emotion is a specific manner of apprehending the world＂ and transforming the world rather than an ＂accidental modification of a subject who is surrounded by an unchanged world,＂ according to Jean-Paul Sartre. Both Sketch for a Theory of the Emotions and Being and Nothingness set out to investigate these relationships in broadly two ways. One, consciousness of the world of others is experienced through our emotions （anger, fear, shame, and pride for instance） as a body that escapes our grasp in being-seen-by-another. Two, we apprehend the world through our emotions in the process of magical transformation （for example, fear, melancholy, and sadness）. This paper examines emotions on two levels： how we experience our ontological state as being-for-itself-in-itself and being-in-the-world-for-others; and how we conceive emotions as ＂magic＂ changing its relationship with the world ＂so that the world should change its qualities.＂ What is of critical interest here is the relationship between consciousness and emotions. Situating this discussion in the context of Satre＇s critique on psychology, it proceeds to advance his existential psychoanalysis, starting with establishing a place for emotions and concluding with its transformative power to escape their situations.

Anger as a Predictor of Active Public Protest： Extended Application of the Situational Theory of Publics to a Health Crisis

This study applies the situational theory of publics （STP） to a health crisis by exploring the effect of anger on public behavior. The results of a survey administered on the case of the candlelight rallies on the U.S. beef imports in South Korea in 2008 demonstrated that involvement, problem recognition, and constraint recognition predicted communication behaviors as well as various issue-related online and offline behaviors. In addition, anger was found to be a significant driving force for publics to perform the behaviors. The segmented publics showed significantly different levels of anger, information processing and seeking, online behaviors, and participation in the candlelight rallies

Structure, Passion and Dynamic Characteristics Study on Sergei Eisenstein＇s Thought of＂Film Structure＂

Sergei Eisenstein was labelled as a theory master of ＂montage＂ for a long time, but also film theory pioneer that seems to be somewhat ＂outdated＂ in the eyes of the modem people. In fact, he was one of the most important figures who created a few of theories and also were good at film creation in the film history of over years. He was not only an outstanding master-level film director, but also film theorist who created rich thoughts to the world. He often discussed the film theories with intercommnnity by taking his own works such as Bronenosets Potyomkin for an example, and simultaneously connected paintings （especially the Oriental painting）, music, literature and others with new arts in the writing of theories, so that the construction of his own film theories was accomplished. The focus of this paper is the later consideration of Sergei Eisenstein on the film works structure. Also, his theoretical system and contemporary significance are rethought by studying a series of thoughts such as ＂works structure＂ , ＂dynamic characteristics＂ , ＂logarithmic spiral＂ , ＂golden section＂ and ＂passionate structure＂ .

Study based on ＂Situational Rationality＂ hypothesis for customer market classification model

The traditional market segmentation was based on ＂transcendental rationality＂ or ＂Situational Rationality＂, studies shows that it had disadvantages. This paper states the ＂Situational＂ integrated rationality hypothesis and then comes up with the market segmenting models and classification algorithm basing on this hypothesis. This algorithm combined the Rough Set theory and Neural Networks in application, which overcome the dilemma that caused complicated network structure and long training time by only using Neural Networks and influenced the classification precision caused by noise disturbance by only using Rough Set methods. Finally, the paper did a comparison experiment between the traditional method and the method we came up, the results shows that the model and algorithm has its advantage on every aspects.

Network Forum Affects the Stock Market： An Empirical Analysis Based on Multivariate GARCH-BEKK Model

Based on the text of posing on the network forum, the authors establish a set of keyword dictionary to measure the long and short investors＇ sentiment effectively, then they investigate the mutual relations between investor sentiment and the trading market through a Multivariable BEKK-GARCH model of abnormal long and short investor sentiment, returns, and abnormal trading volume. The results show that abnormal sentiment of long investor has a negative impact on the returns and a positive impact on the abnormal trading volume; while abnormal sentiment of short investor has no impact on the return and a negative impact on the abnormal trading volume. Otherwise, there is the negative volatility effect from abnormal sentiment of long investor to returns and abnormal trading volume, the positive volatility effects from abnormal sentiment of short investor to returns, and no volatility effects from abnormal sentiment of short investor to abnormal trading volume. In addition, network forum investor sentiment is a factor affecting the trading market. The analysis of forum information plays a certain role in presenting market risk and improving efficiency in making investment decision.

The Empty Face of the Self-portrait： Time, Specter, and Event in The Fourth Portrait by Meng-Hung Chung

This short paper aims to critically analyze a contemporary Taiwan Residents film, The Fourth Portrait, directed by Meng-Hung Chung, from the perspective of Delenzian theories. In Deleuze＇s two books on cinema, the discussion of images demonstrates the entangled juxtaposition of the three levels： brain-thought, cinema-screen, and world-images that compose the cinematic consciousness. Through the interacted movement-images and time-images, the film unfolds the storyline within the aesthetic pleasure of poetic sentiment that gradually leads the audience to learn that a wandering boy, Hsiao-Hsiang, after the death of his father, has had several adventurous encounters that gradually expose the secrecy of his traumatic family： His birth mother has no decent job and his step-father has killed his own brother. This broken family has been haunted by the shared guilt and the undead memory as Derrida famously claims that hauntology precedes ontology. As the past coexists with the present, Deleuze analyzes the concept of I, with a central fracture in its pure form of the past demonstrating an ontological enigma that remains forever a secret. When the director uses the four portraits to indicate the four important events of this wandering boy, he deliberately leaves empty the fourth portrait, the self-portrait of the boy; it remains as an incomplete piece which symbolizes an enigma of his own life. It shows certain constitutive unnamable forces acting within the boy that seduces him forever to painfully misrecognize himself.
