But in real situations, the flight cannot be kept in a uniform rectilinear motion due to many factors. Therefore, the motion compensation is needed to achieve the high-resolution image. This paper proposes an improved motion information sensor (MIS)-based on global navigation statellite system (GNSS) and strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) for SAR motion compensation. MIS can provide the long-term absolute accuracy, and the short-term high relative accuracy during SAR imaging. Many issues related to MIS, such as system design, error models and navigation algorithms, are stressed. Experimental results show that MIS can provide accurate navigation information (position, velocity and attitude) to meet the requirements of SAR motion compensation. Especially, MIS is suitable for the case: the accuracy of airplane master inertial navigation system is too low or not configured.展开更多

The theoretical conversions are in good agreement with the experimental data obtained in the submerged catalysis/MF system within relative error of ±5%. First an initial solution is obtained by separately designing the subfilters and then the initial solution is updated by iteratively solving a SOCP problem. Firstly,the decoupler based on the adjoint matrix of the multivariable system model with time delays was introduced,and the decoupled models were reduced to first-order plus time delay models by analyzing the amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics. Secondly,according to the closed-loop characteristic equation of Smith predictor structure,proportion integration (PI) controllers were designed following the principle of pole assignment for Butterworth filter. Finally,using small-gain theorem and Nyquist stability criterion,sufficient and necessary conditions for robust stability were analyzed with multiplicative uncertainties,which could be encountered frequently in practice. The result shows that the method proposed has superiority for response speed and load disturbance rejection performance.展开更多

The high dust removal efficiency greater than 99%, low outlet dust concentration less than 100mg·m-3, low pressure drop through dust filtration chamber less than 980Pa, simple and easy design, and flexible and stable operation were achieved also with the carbon-granular bed filter in both bench and industrial scale operations.展开更多

The variance-dependent Goldstein radar interferogram filter takes into account the information of both interferometric coherence and multilook factors,and can produce very consistent results for interferograms generat...The variance-dependent Goldstein radar interferogram filter takes into account the information of both interferometric coherence and multilook factors,and can produce very consistent results for interferograms generated under a wide variety of multilook factors and with very different noise level.However,the filter is a bit complicated and its application is still very limited.We present the designing and implementation of the variance-dependent Goldstein radar interferogram filtering,emphasizing on the logic flow,the generation of look-up table,the determination of filtering parameter,and the handling of edge information loss.Experiments with real interferograms are provided to demonstrate the applications of the designed filtering.Comparisons with the result of the coherence-dependent Goldstein filter show that improvements from 18.4% to 36.9% are achieved when the variance-dependent filter is used,and the noisier the interferogram,the greater the improvement.展开更多

Utilizing the explicit formulas to calculate the ini- tial values, the firate-word-length FIR filter design problem was converted into optimization of the filter coefficients, An optimization method combined with local discrete random search and simulated annealing was proposed, with the result of optimum solution in the sense of Chebyshev approximation. The proposed method can simplify the design process of FIR filter and reduce the calculation burden. The simulation result indicates that the proposed method is superior to the traditional round off method and can reduce the value of the objective function to 41%~74%.展开更多

This ...The separation between s- and p-polarization components invariably affects thin film edge filters used for tilted incidence and is a difficult problem for many applications, especially for optical communication. This paper presents a novel design method to obtain edge filters with non-polarization at incidence angle of 45°. The polarization separation at 50% trans-mittance for a long-wave-pass filter and a short-wave-pass filter is 0.3 nm and 0.1 nm respectively. The design method is based on a broadband Fabry-Perot thin-film interference filter in which the higher or lower interference band at both sides of the main transmittance peak can be used for initial design of long-wave-pass filter or short-wave-pass filter and then can be refined to reduce the transmittance ripples. The spacer 2H2L2H or 2L2H2L of the filter is usually taken. Moreover, the method for expanding the bandwidth of rejection and transmission is explained. The bandwidth of 200 nm for both rejection region and transmission band is obtained at wavelength 1550 nm. In this way, the long-wave-pass and short-wave-pass edge filters with zero separation between two polarization components can easily be fabricated.展开更多

First, an optimal filter bank is de...A new approach for designing the Biorthogonal Wavelet Filter Bank (BWFB) for the purpose of image compression is presented in this letter. The approach is decomposed into two steps. First, an optimal filter bank is designed in theoretical sense based on Vaidyanathan’s coding gain criterion in SubBand Coding (SBC) system. Then the above filter bank is optimized based on the criterion of Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) in JPEG2000 image compression system, resulting in a BWFB in practical application sense. With the approach, a series of BWFB for a specific class of applications related to image compression, such as remote sensing images, can be fast designed. Here, new 5/3 BWFB and 9/7 BWFB are presented based on the above approach for the remote sensing image compression applications. Experiments show that the two filter banks are equally performed with respect to CDF 9/7 and LT 5/3 filter in JPEG2000 standard; at the same time, the coefficients and the lifting parameters of the lifting scheme are all rational, which bring the computational advantage, and the ease for VLSI implementation.展开更多

First, an optimal filter bank is designed in theoretical sense based on Vaidyanathan’s coding gain criterion in SubBand Coding (SBC) system. Then the above filter bank is optimized based on the criterion of Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) in JPEG2000 image compression system, resulting in a BWFB in practical application sense. With the approach, a series of BWFB for a specific class of applications related to image compression, such as remote sensing images, can be fast designed. Here, new 5/3 BWFB and 9/7 BWFB are presented based on the above approach for the remote sensing image compression applications. Experiments show that the two filter banks are equally performed with respect to CDF 9/7 and LT 5/3 filter in JPEG2000 standard; at the same time, the coefficients and the lifting parameters of the lifting scheme are all rational, which bring the computational advantage, and the ease for VLSI implementation.
