Combining with an A00 model variant, the paper details the design of extruded aluminum-alloy front crossbeam assembly from the perspectives of optimal design, performance verifi- cation, lightweight effect and cost control. The following results in the technical and engineering applications have been achieved. The weight of the developed aluminum-alloy crossbeam can be reduced by 51%. The simulated analysis of the collision rigid wall, the 40 % offset hammering as well as the static crush test of energy-absorbing box show that af- ter reasonable materials matching and size optimization of the crossbeam and the energy-absorbing boxes, the level of crash safety can be improved. The price of aluminum-alloy front crossbeam can be lowered by using the extruding die in- stead of the stamping die to reduce the die cost-sharing.展开更多

This paper introduces a method to design an optimal alternative powertrain based on a longitudinal dynamic simulation. The objective function of the minimization problem describes the characteristic map of the traction system. The goal of the optimization is to minimize fuel consumption respectively energy demand. Different types of propulsion systems are investigated. The results show that the proposed method delivers useful alternative powertrains by applying an optimization with reasonable restrictions.展开更多

The established hydrogen safety system includes the hydrogen supply system, hydrogen leakage detection system, alarm processing system, ventilation system, measures against electrostatic, thunder-arresting and explosion-protection, and the strict hydrogen operation rules. In this safety system, the explosion proof catalytic combustion sensors are used to detect the hydrogen leakage and the electrical control system is designed to process the alarm automatically. The hydrogen safety system plays an important role in the performance, examination of the FC and the assuring the personnel' s safety of the fuel cell power train lab.展开更多
