This article takes the English translation of Wang Feng Shu Li by James Legge as an example and selects the main imagery words as the object of study to explore the language differences and translation strategies reflected in the translation, to a certain extent helping readers overcome the obstacles in translating imagery words between English and Chinese and better grasp the characteristics of the two languages.
