3D Ice Shape Description Method Based on BLSOM Neural Network

When checking the ice shape calculation software,its accuracy is judged based on the proximity between the calculated ice shape and the typical test ice shape.Therefore,determining the typical test ice shape becomes the key task of the icing wind tunnel tests.In the icing wind tunnel test of the tail wing model of a large amphibious aircraft,in order to obtain accurate typical test ice shape,the Romer Absolute Scanner is used to obtain the 3D point cloud data of the ice shape on the tail wing model.Then,the batch-learning self-organizing map(BLSOM)neural network is used to obtain the 2D average ice shape along the model direction based on the 3D point cloud data of the ice shape,while its tolerance band is calculated using the probabilistic statistical method.The results show that the combination of 2D average ice shape and its tolerance band can represent the 3D characteristics of the test ice shape effectively,which can be used as the typical test ice shape for comparative analysis with the calculated ice shape. 展开更多

To solve the fault diagnosis problem of liquid propellant rocket engine ground testing bed,a fault diagnosis approach based on self-organizing map(SOM)is proposed.The SOM projects the multidimensional ground testing bed data into a two-dimensional map.Visualization of the SOM is used to cluster the ground testing bed data.The out map of the SOM is divided to several regions.Each region is represented for one fault mode.The fault mode of testing data is determined according to the region of their labels belonged to.The method is evaluated using the testing data of a liquid-propellant rocket engine ground testing bed with sixteen fault states.The results show that it is a reliable and effective method for fault diagnosis with good visualization property. 展开更多

The high resolution 3D nonlinear integrated inversion method is based on nonlinear theory. Under layer control, the log data from several wells (or all wells) in the study area and seismic trace data adjacent to the wells are input to a network with multiple inputs and outputs and are integratedly trained to obtain an adaptive weight function of the entire study area. Integrated nonlinear mapping relationships are built and updated by the lateral and vertical geologic variations of the reservoirs. Therefore, the inversion process and its inversion results can be constrained and controlled and a stable seismic inversion section with high resolution with velocity inversion, impedance inversion, and density inversion sections, can be gained. Good geologic effects have been obtained in model computation tests and real data processing, which verified that this method has high precision, good practicality, and can be used for quantitative reservoir analysis. 展开更多

The Testing Intelligence System Based on Factor Models and Self-Organizing Feature Maps

Presented is a new testing system based on using the factor models and self-organizing feature maps as well as the method of filtering undesirable environment influence. Testing process is described by the factor model with simplex structure, which represents the influences of genetics and environmental factors on the observed parameters - the answers to the questions of the test subjects in one case and for the time, which is spent on responding to each test question to another. The Monte Carlo method is applied to get sufficient samples for training self-organizing feature maps, which are used to estimate model goodness-of-fit measures and, consequently, ability level. A prototype of the system is implemented using the Raven's Progressive Matrices (Advanced Progressive Matrices) - an intelligence test of abstract reasoning. Elimination of environment influence results is performed by comparing the observed and predicted answers to the test tasks using the Kalman filter, which is adapted to solve the problem. The testing procedure is optimized by reducing the number of tasks using the distribution of measures to belong to different ability levels after performing each test task provided the required level of conclusion reliability is obtained. 展开更多

A coupled KdV equation is studied in this manuscript. The exact solutions, such as the periodic wave solutions and solitary wave solutions by means of the deformation and mapping approach from the solutions of the nonlinear φ4 model are given. Using the symmetry theory, the Lie point symmetries and symmetry reductions of the coupled KdV equation are presented. The results show that the coupled KdV equation possesses infinitely many symmetries and may be considered as an integrable system. Also, the Palnleve test shows the coupled KdV equation possesses Palnleve property. The Backlund transformations of the coupled KdV equation related to Palnleve property and residual symmetry are shown. 展开更多

Waste heat recovery for internal combustion engine(ICE)has been considered as an important strategy to improve efficiency and promote fuel economy,thus alleviating the problems of energy shortage and environmental pollution.This paper investigates the characteristics of various kinds of waste heat energy,namely,waste heat in exhaust,cooling water and charge air,over the engine’s whole operating region.Based on the energy balance experiments,the energy distribution of a conventional heavy-duty diesel engine is obtained under mapping characteristics.According to exergy analysis,the energy recovery potential for waste heat is studied as well.The experimental results indicate that exhaust energy increases with engine speed and load,while cooling water energy is more sensitive to load,especially at low and middle speed.Charge air energy,on the other hand,mainly counts on speed rather than load.Exhaust energy possesses the highest recovery potential in terms of both quantity and quality.Through waste heat recovery,a dramatic improvement in engine efficiency is achievable,actually,the maximum value can amount to 60%or even more. 展开更多
