In this paper, the motion and acceleration process, as well as the mechanism of a high speed and long run landslide are investigated by adopting high speed ring shear test and taking the landslide occurred at Yigong River in Bomi, Tibet on April 9, 2000 as the background. According to the motion characteristics of high-speed and long distance motion landside, the mechanism is studied under different conditions such as shear speed, consolidated drained and consolidated undrained status. Results show that high speed shearing process hinders and delays the dissipation of pore pressure, and drives pore water migrating to shear zone slowly. Both of water content and fine particle content at shear zone are obviously higher than those in other layers; and soil liquefaction occurs at shear zone in the saturated consolidated undrained ring shear tests. The effective internal friction angle of the consolidated undrained soil is much lower than that of the consolidated drained soil under ring shearing. The results also indicate that the shearing speed affecting the strength of soil to some extent. The higher the ring shearing speed is, the lower the strength of soil is. This investigation provides a preliminary interpretation of the mechanism of the motion and acceleration process of the Yigong landslide, occurred in Tibet in 2000. 展开更多

In order to investigate the compressibility, particularly the secondary compression behaviour, soil structure and undrained shear strength of Shanghai Clay, a series of one-dimensional consolidation tests (some up to 70 d) and undrained triaxial tests on high-quality intact and reconstituted soil specimens were carried out. Shanghai Clay is a lightly overconsolidated soil (OCR=1.2-1.3) with true cohesion or bonding. Due to the influence of soil structures, the secondary compression index Ca varies significantly with consolidation stress and the maximum value of C~ occurs in the vicinity of preconsolidation stress. Measured coefficients of secondary compression generally fall in the range of 0.2%-0.8% based on which Shanghai Clay can be classified as a soil with low to medium secondary compressibility. The effect of soil structures on the compressibility of Shanghai Clay is found to reduce with an increase in depth. Soil structure has an important influence on initial soil stiffness, but does not appear to affect undrained shear strength significantly. Undrained shear strengths of intact Shanghai Clay from compression tests are approximately 20% higher than those from extension tests. 展开更多

Based on the impact of the stress perturbation effect created by simultaneous propagation of multiple fractures in the process of simultaneous hydraulic fracturing, a thorough research on the mechanism and adaptation of simultaneous fracturing of double horizontal wells in ultra-low permeability sandstone reservoirs was conducted by taking two adjacent horizontal wells(well Yangping-1 and well Yangping-2 located in Longdong area of China Changqing Oilfield) as field test wells. And simultaneous fracturing optimal design of two adjacent horizontal wells was finished and employed in field test. Micro-seismic monitoring analysis of fracture propagation during the stimulation treatment shows that hydraulic fractures present a pattern of complicated network expansion, and the well test data after fracturing show that the daily production of well Yangping-1 and well Yangping-2 reach105.8 t/d and 87.6 t/d, which are approximately 9.4 times and 7.8 times the daily production of a fractured vertical well in the same area, respectively. Field test reflects that simultaneous hydraulic fracturing of two adjacent horizontal wells can enlarge the expansion area of hydraulic fractures to obtain a lager drainage area and realize the full stimulation of ultra-low permeability sandstone reservoirs in China Changqing oilfield. Therefore, simultaneous fracturing of two adjacent horizontal wells provides a good opportunity in stimulation techniques for the efficient development of ultra-low permeability reservoirs in China Changqing oilfield, and it has great popularization value and can provide a new avenue for the application of stimulation techniques in ultra-low permeability reservoirs in China. 展开更多

This study experimentally investigated the critical heat flux(CHF) of departure from nucleate boiling(DNB) of water flowing under near-critical pressures in a 2 m-long vertical upward rifled tube with the size of Φ35 × 5.67 mm. Operating conditions included pressures of 18–21 MPa, mass fluxes of 475–1000 kg·m^(-2)·s^(-1), inlet subcooling temperatures of 3–5°C, and wall heat fluxes of 40–960 kW·m^(-2). Tube wall temperature distribution and heat transfer performance in different test conditions were obtained. The effects of the operating parameters on CHF were analyzed. Four heat transfer coefficient correlations were evaluated against our experimental data for further investigation of the two-phase heat transfer characteristics. A heat transfer correlation based on Martinelli number utilized in two-phase region and two empirical correlations used to predict the CHF in rifled tube at near-critical pressures were proposed. Meanwhile, experimental CHF data in rifled tube were compared with six widely used correlations and a CHF look-up table. The CHF enhancement effect in rifled tube is obvious as compared with the CHF data in smooth tube. Results show that DNB occurs at low vapor quality and subcooled region in the rifled tube at near-critical pressures. The increase in pressure leads to the early occurrence of DNB and the decrease in CHF, whereas the increase in mass flux delays the occurrence of DNB and results in the increase in CHF. DNB presents a tendency to move toward the inlet of the rifled tube. At individual operating conditions, DNB and dryout coexist at different sections of the rifled tube. 展开更多
