硅基光子集成平台因其高集成度、CMOS工艺兼容性等特点在光通信领域受到了广泛的关注,而电光调制器作为光通信系统中最为重要的器件之一,承担着将电信号加载至光信号上的关键作用,为打破硅基调制器的性能限制,可利用硅和铌酸锂的大面积... 硅基光子集成平台因其高集成度、CMOS工艺兼容性等特点在光通信领域受到了广泛的关注,而电光调制器作为光通信系统中最为重要的器件之一,承担着将电信号加载至光信号上的关键作用,为打破硅基调制器的性能限制,可利用硅和铌酸锂的大面积键合技术以及铌酸锂低损耗波导刻蚀技术实现高性能硅和铌酸锂异质集成薄膜电光调制器,目前该类调制器的性能可达半波电压3 V,3 dB电光带宽超过70 GHz,插入损耗小于1.8 dB,消光比大于40 dB。文中对比了硅和铌酸锂异质集成调制器的研究现状并介绍了该异质集成薄膜调制器的结构设计与工艺实现方法。 展开更多

The picture elements of the modules may be emissive, reflective or transmissive. The flat-screen liquid crystal television also comprised of an electrical control circuit capable of categorizing incoming television picture signals corresponding to the modules in the array and directing the electrical signals to the drive circuits of each module according to the portion of the television picture to be reproduced by the picture elements of that module. The picture elements are preferably formed in a light modulating film composed of a liquid crystal dispersion in a polymeric binder. A color display was also produced by placing a patterned red-green-blue filter adjacent the active matrix so that each picture element could also be coordinated with the color components of a color video signal. 展开更多

Influence of modulated structure on magnetic properties of NdFeB/Co multilayer thin films

The Nd Fe B/Co multilayer films were prepared by magnetron sputtering. After that, the samples were annealed at 600 ℃ for 20 min. The surface morphology, phase structures and magnetic properties of Mo(50 nm)/[Nd F... The Nd Fe B/Co multilayer films were prepared by magnetron sputtering. After that, the samples were annealed at 600 ℃ for 20 min. The surface morphology, phase structures and magnetic properties of Mo(50 nm)/[Nd Fe B(100 nm)/Co(y)]×10/Mo(50 nm) thin films were researched by AFM, XRD and VSM, respectively. The results show that the films show stronger perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. When the thickness of Co layers is 10 nm, the coercivity Hc⊥ is the maximum, 295 k A/m. However, for y=10-20, the reduced remanence M/Ms of films has increased. When the thickness of Co layers is 20-30 nm, the Nd Fe B/Co multilayer films obtained more superior magnetic properties with M/Ms =0.95. 展开更多

Circular polarization selection of light is an important property of helical micro-nanostructure.The helical thin films fabricated by glancing angle deposition can provide both circular polarization selection and wavelength tuning in this work.Their selective transmissions were depicted in calculations and experiments.The wavelength tuning mechanism was revealed as the relationship between peak wavelength and deposition parameters.Therefore,tunable circular polarization components can be designed according to the mechanism mentioned above and fabricated by glancing angle deposition techniques.Potential applications include tunable optical filters,optical pulse-shapers,biosensors etc. 展开更多

Tunable thin-film filter with low angle sensitivity

Conventional angle-tuned thin-film filters have serious angle sensitivity for their low spacer effective refractive index, and it is difficult to fabricate their angle control system. In this paper, we propose and fabricate a novel 100 GHz angletuned thin-film filter stack with low angle sensitivity, which uses the high refractive index material TiO2 as the spacer, and its incident angle can be expanded to 25°. Compared with the traditional Ta2O5-SiO2 thin-film filter stack, the novel stack has fewer layers. Using the polarization beam splitters and the half wave plates, the polarization sensitivity of the angle-tuned filter can also be suppressed. Simulation results and the experiments show that the thin-film filter with low angle sensitivity has an effective tuning range of 33 nm, which can cover the whole C-band, and its angle control system is easy to be fabricated. 展开更多
