Design of speed controller for electronic fuel injection gasoline generator based on feed-forward PID control

As for the application of electronic fuel injection (EFI) system to small gasoline generator set, mechanical speed controller cannot be coupled with EFI system and has the shortcomings of lagged regulation and poor accuracy, a feed-forward control strategy based on load combined with proportional-integral-differential (PID) control strategy was proposed, and a digital speed controller applied to the electrical control system was designed. The detailed control strategy of the controller was intro- duced. The hardware design for the controller and the key circuits of motor driving, current sampling and angular signal captu- ring were given, and software architecture was discussed. Combined with a gasoline generator set mounted with EFI system, the controller parameters were tuned and optimized empirically by hardware in loop and bench test methods. Test results show that the speed deviation of generator set is low and the control system is stable in steady state; In transient state the control system responses quickly, has high stability under mutation loads especially when suddenly apply and remove 100% load, the speed deviation is within 8% of reference speed and the transient time is less than 5 s, satisfying the ISO standard. 展开更多

This paper shows the development of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology at the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research. In the development, fabrication processes for planar anode-supported-cell (ASC) by conventional methods and metal-supported-cell (MSC) by atmospheric plasma spraying are well established. Procedures and techniques for stacking and cell/stack performance tests are continuously improved to enhance the quality and reliability. Innovative nano-structured catalysts, in which reduced Pt and CeOz particles dispersed onto the A120~ carriers can effectively prevent the migration and coalescence of the metal crystallites, are thermal stable and possess a conversion ratio higher than 95% for reforming of natural gas. A non-premixed after-burner/reformer is designed and fabricated, and it has passed the prerequisite functional tests. Layouts including stacks, components of BOP, power conditioning and control as well as gases and water supply, are designated for a 1-kW SOFC power system. In compliance with system requirements, operating modes, data acquisition, power conditioning, instrumentations, and control logics have been identified and settled. After successive system validation tests, two modules of 18-cell stacks are allocated into the SOFC system. Test results indicate a thermal self-sustaining system on natural gas is achieved with a power output of around 760 watts. 展开更多

This paper was designed to determine the performance of the R 141 b ejector includes analysis in economics. The first step is to determine the operating condition and ejector geometry through computer calculation program. That found at the generator temperature 84 ℃ and evaporator temperature 8 ℃, diameter of nozzle throat is 2 mm, diameter of nozzle exit is 8 mm, diameter of mixing chamber inlet is 25 mm, diameter of constant area section is 8 mm. Area of evacuated solar collector is 10 m2, thermal storage tank size is 0.33 m3, cold thermal storage size is 2.3 m3. The entrainment ratio and COP (coefficient of performance) of computer calculation program are 0.295 and 0.235, respectively. The second step ejector is fabricated and equipped to solar ejector refrigeration system, it is found that, average COP is 0.265. The economics analysis of solar ejector cooling system are invested in the investment cost was 158,158 baht. When calculating payback period was 7.73 years, the return value on a NPV (net present value) was 60,872.63 baht of lifetime of the system throughout a period of 15 years, and IRR (internal rate of return) is 13.57%. 展开更多
