We used a set of 75-day long ADCP data from the northeastern South China Sea(SCS) to investigate nonlinear interactions among freely propagating internal tidal waves.The kinetic energy spectra displayed significant peaks at some higher tidal frequencies,such as O1M2(O1+M2),and M4(M2 +M2),where O1 is the lunar diurnal internal tide,M2 is the lunar semidiurnal internal tide,and M4 is the first higher harmonic frequency of M2.These higher tidal harmonic frequency peaks,as well as the fundamental tidal harmonic peaks,show a σ-2.3 spectral falloff rate with frequency.In addition,we explored the possible generation mechanism of higher tidal harmonics.Analysis on the rotary and bicoherence spectra suggests that strong forced non-resonant interaction induced by nonlinear advections was the dominant physical mechanism that induced these higher tidal harmonics.Moreover,the energetic,freely propagating semidiurnal(M2) internal tidal wave played the most crucial role in these interactions.These results indicate that strong nonlinear forced non-resonant interactions among internal tides can be one of the processes responsible for the redistribution of energy in the internal wave spectrum. 展开更多

We present quantum mechanical vibrational computations beyond the harmonic approximation from effective second order perturbative and variation perturbation treatments defined as static approaches, as well as vibrational analysis from density functional theory molecular dynamics trajectories at 300 and 600 K. The four schemes are compared in terms of prediction of fundamental transitions, and simulation of the corresponding medium infrared spectrum at the same level of theory using the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) description of the electronic structure. We summarize conclusions about advantages and drawbacks of these two approaches and report the main results obtained for semi-rigid and flexible molecules. 展开更多

By using the discrete coordinates approach, transmission and reflection amplitudes of the propagating single photon in the waveguide are obtained. The influence of the coupling strength between the nanocavity and the external mirror on the single photon scattering spectra is discussed. We determine explicitly the exact transcendental bound states energies equation for a one-dimensional harmonic oscillator perturbed by a single and a double point interactions via Green's function techniques using both momentum and position space representations. The even and odd solutions of the problem are discussed. The corresponding limiting cases are recovered. For the harmonic oscillator with a point interaction in more than one dimension,divergent series appear. We use to remove this divergence an exponential regulator and we obtain a transcendental equation for the energy bound states. The results obtained here are consistent with other investigations using different methods. 展开更多

Controllable optical multistability in hybrid optomechanical system assisted by parametric interactions

We theoretically investigate the multistable behavior of a hybrid optomechanical system, in which a charged mechanical resonator is coupled via Coulomb interaction to an optomechanical cavity containing an optical parametric amplifier (OPA). It is shown that the multistable behavior of the mean intracavity photon number can be controlled flexibly by adjusting the nonlinear gain parameter of the OPA, the phase of the field pumping the OPA, the power and frequency of the field driving the cavity, and the Coulomb coupling strength between the two charged mechanical resonators. In particular, the increase of the nonlinear gain parameter can result in a transition from bistability to tristability. Moreover, the effect of the Coulomb coupling strength on the bistable behavior of the steady-state positions of the two mechanical resonators is discussed. 展开更多
