The property of dichotomy of interconnected second-order pendulum-like systems with multiple equilibria is investigated. This interconnection can be viewed as harmonic control of independent sub-systems. Linear interconnections and a class of input and output interconnections are considered in this paper. The effects of input and output interconnections are shown through a permutation matrix. Frequency domain and linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions of dichotomy of interconnected pendulum-like systems are derived. It is shown that global properties of two coupled systems can be changed significantly through interconnections. Examples are given to illustrate the results. 展开更多

In recent years, the increasing application of nonlinear and unbalanced electronic equipment and large single phase loads have made voltage imbalance a serious problem in power distribution systems. A novel approach has been proposed to eliminate voltage imbalance and disturbances. The main strategy of this scheme is based on series active filter. By improving control circuit toward existing schemes and proposing a new strategy to control the voltage amplitude, simultaneous elimination of voltage imbalance, faults, voltage harmonics and also compensation of voltage drop in transmission lines become possible. Eventually, the voltage on the load side is a perfectly balanced three phase voltage with specific proper amplitude. The proposed scheme has been simulated in a test network and the results show high capability of this scheme for the complete elimination of imbalance without phase shift. 展开更多

Because of the widely-used nonlinear loads, the problems of harmonics and low power factor in power systems are becoming more and more serious. In view of the above problems, a shunt three-phase active power filter (SAPF) based on discrete sliding mode control to suppress the harmonics was designed and the power factor improved. First, built the mathematical model of SAPF. Then, controlled the switch through analyzing the harmonic current that was controlled signal using discrete sliding mode control. Through simulation using MATLAB, verified the validity of the algorithm. By the simulation waveforms, it can be found that after the load current containing a large number of harmonics passes the active power filter, the waveform of the power current approximately becomes a sine wave and the harmonics is significantly reduced. As a result, it plays a good role in purifying power systems. Moreover, from the waveforms of harmonic current and power current, it can be found that the algorithm has a faster tracking speed. The operational frequency range of RF system at HIRFL-CSRe (cooling storage experimental ring) is 0.5-2 MHz, and it works in fundamental and second harmonic. It includes five sections: ferrite ring loaded RF cavity, RF generator, low-level system, computer system and cavity cooling. The cavity is based on the coaxial resonator type which is short at the terminal with one gap and loaded with domestic ferrite rings. The RF generator is designed in a push-pull mode. The low-level control system is based on PID, DSP, FPGA and DDS9854+USB interface and has three feedback loops. This RF system is designed independently and manufactured domestically. For the first time, it realized the pulse modulation, variable harmonic and CW operational modes. The maximum output power is up to 70 kW and the 10 kV RF voltage is used to capture the irradiative beam and decelerate the beam from 400 to 30 MeV/u. 展开更多
