创办多学科性质学会的体会

为了适应现代科学发展的特点,沟通有关学科之间的联系和促进学术交流的开展。以中国科学院下属的生理、脑、药物、生化、细胞生物和昆虫六个研究所的六位中青科学工作者发起,并得到生物学部、分院和神经科学前辈冯德培、张香桐支持的,跨学科的上海神经科学研究会,于今年二月二十七日正式成立,目前共有会员七十余人。该会成立迄今有半年多,但已显示出很强的生命力。 一、神经科学研究的多学科性质、意义及其目前研究的前沿。 人用大脑去认识自然界,但人对大脑本身的认识却大大落后于对自然界的认识,因此如何揭开大脑的奥秘是人类面临的重大的挑战。

论“维新派”创办的学会图书馆的作用

一、“维新派”创办的学会图书馆,是戊戌变法运动的产物。他们竭力宣传学会图书馆的重要性和社会教育作用,把建立图书馆作为学会工作的重要组成部分。甲午海战,北洋水师覆没,有识之士在痛定思痛之余彻悟到“西人之强者兵,所以强者不在兵”,要拯救国家。

从“戊戌”到“五四”的学会

在我国,近代意义上的学会组织,始于戊戌变法时期,到辛亥革命和五四运动时期愈益发展。当时一些政治性团体也探讨学术问题,所以,本文把这类社团也一并列入学会。

The State of Geological Sciences in the USSR by the Mid-Twentieth Century

The November 1948 open session of the Institute of Geological Sciences AS USSR was previously unknown,in contrast to the August 1948 session of VASKhNIL.The publication of the transcript of the session of geologists is based on the original verified transcript from the Geological Institute and the Archive RAS.It presented reports on the main scientific directions of geology:stratigraphy,the Quaternary geology,lithology,geotectonics,petrography and petrology,mineralogy and geochemistry,and the geology of ore and coal deposits.This thick book details all the Q&A sessions,discussions of theories,methods,and practice among the leading Soviet geoscientists.The session and its resolution describe the situation and development of geology in the USSR in the mid-twentieth century as well as the collateral impact of the Lysenko affair on the earth sciences in the USSR.

IGCP第247项前寒武纪矿床与构造模式中国工作组工作会议在长院举行

由长春地质学院、吉林省弛质学会和IGCP第247项中国工作组联合召开的国际性金矿地质学术研讨会期间,于5月17日晚7点—9点30分,IGCP第247项中国工作组召开工作会议,成员单位的14名代表,特邀中(4人)、外(2人)共6名代表参加这次工作会议。会议由IGCP第247项中国工作组负责人张贻侠教授和沈保丰研究员主持。会议就247项中国工作组的研究工作进展情况、今后两年工作的计划和编写总结报告等有关事宜进行了有益的讨论,并作出了相应的决定。

From Applied to Pure Science： Midwestern Geological Surveys in the 19th Century

Between 1850 and 1900, state geological surveys in the Midwest underwent an ideological shift by transforming from institutions based on applied science to those based on pure science. Three factors influenced this process： the acquisition of permanent status from state governments, the establishment of the USGS （United States Geological Survey）, and the increase in regional professional scientific societies and publications in the Midwest. These factors aided in the transformation of research projects by state geologists. These projects grew more focused, of higher quality, and increased in number during this time-period. State governments still expected Midwestern geological surveys to meet the practical needs of their respective states as this transformation continued, but surveys complemented these goals with projects more closely related to pure science. This shift encouraged the research goals of surveys to investigate projects more closely related to pure scientific pursuits, and significantly aided in the growth of the earth sciences in the nineteenth Century and early twentieth Century.

Informal caregivers'quality of life and management strategies following the transformation of their cancer caregiving role:A qualitative systematic review

Objectives:Globally,informal caregivers caring for cancer patients meet challenges within their caregiving role,which significantly influence their quality of life.This qualitative systematic review aimed to analyze how cancer caregiving influence the quality of life of informal caregivers and the management strategies of informal caregivers for their role as cancer caregivers.Methods:Following the enhancing transparency in reporting the synthesis of qualitative research(ENTREQ)statement,Wanfang database,the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),CINAHL,MEDLINE,PubMed,Cochrane Library,PsycARTICLES and PsycINFO,and grey literature in English and Chinese from 1 May 2009 to 31 December 2019 were searched.Quality of included studies was assessed by the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme(2018)Qualitative Checklist and thematic synthesis was conducted.Results:Of the 8,945 studies identified,6 studies met the inclusion criteria.One analytical theme relating to the QoL of informal caregivers following cancer caregiving was identified:"challenges of caregiving".In terms of the management strategies to the role of cancer caregivers,two analytical themes were identified:"self-adjustment"and"seeking for formal and informal support".Conclusions:Cancer caregiving influences informal caregivers'QoL significantly and informal caregivers develop diverse coping strategies to deal with the difficulties occurred while balancing the relationship between their own lives and caregiving.However,professional and policy support remain inadequate for informal caregivers that require the need for improvement in terms of health care professionals and policymakers.

Kinetic, electronic properties and conductivity studies of （（12Z）N-（5Z）-1-bromo-5-（phenylimino）-1H-pyrrol-2（5H）-ylidene benzenmine {ArN（CNBrCCHCH）NAr} （Ar = C6H5）

Kinetic and conductivity of new Schiff bases compounds such （（12Z）N-（5Z）-1-bromo-5-（phenylimino）-1H- pyrrol-2（5 H）-ylidene）benzenamine {ArN（CNBrCCHCH）NAr} （Ar = C6H5） incorporating the chelating diamino has been studied in this paper and was found a second order of this reaction. Electronic Properties using hyperchem program study has been improved for this compound such angel and bond distance, and then this compound was defining as electric conductivity and did prove to be useful for conduclively compound.

Selected Major Elements Content in Igneous Rocks of Paraguay by Neutron and X-ray Irradiation

Plutonic and volcanic rocks were analyzed by INAA （Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis） ana XRF （X-ray flurescence） in their major components for its classification. The samples proceed from the sites/regions corresponding to the Precambrian to Paleozoic/Postpaleozoic magmatism in the eastern and western Paraguay. The analysed elements were Si, A1, Na and K and thus the SiO2, AI/O3, Na2O and K2O content determined. The activation were performed in an annular 25Ci Am-Be neutron source with total flux of 5×10^7n.s^-1. The reactions used were （1） ^28Si （n, p） ^27A1, （2） ^27A1 （n, p） ^27Mg; （3） ^23Na （n, γ） ^24Na, the fourth element of interest, potassium, was analysed by XRF. The procedure overall uncertainties were checked as per the analysis of three compositae samples of SiO2： ＋ A12O3 ＋ NaHCO3 ＋ K2CO3 prepared as standards in convenient proportions. The determination of these parameters according to the last recommendations of the IUGS （International Union of Geosciences）, permits the classification of the rocks in the categories acid, intermediate, basic and ultrabasie, as well as the identification of the rock family and in certain cases, the norm and their magmatic provenance.

Analysis on Humanistic Education of Medical Students

Medical students are the major force of future medical scientific research and clinical work, and itis of great necessity for medical students to have humanistic education, which is also an inevitable way of improving medical students＇ clinical practice quality. Social progress demands that medical students should not only have excellent professional skills, but also be able to think about problems from medical,social, moral and ethics perspectives, establishing the people-oriented patient-centered noble medical ethics, having a good ability to communicate with people.

The Role of University in the Education of Professional Accountants： Degree of IES 2 Application

In the period following the beginning of the global economic crisis, the quality of the education provided to support the accounting profession was debated. Simultaneously, Education for Sustainable Development （ESD） is becoming increasingly important. The change in the accounting profession and in accounting education offers an opportunity to formulate initial observations on the Italian university world in terms of the preparation of future professional accountants. This study uses the International Education Standards （lESs） published by the International Accounting Education Standards Board （IAESB）, in particular the IES 2 （content of professional accounting education programs）. The aim of the paper, which is of an empirical nature, is to understand the role of universities in Italy in the preparation of accountants in the light of the IES 2 provisions. The study and its policy implications may contribute to the debate on accounting education at national and international levels, also in the light of ESD.

Insulin-like growth factor-1, IGF binding protein-3, and the risk of esophageal cancer in a nested case-control study

To assess the relationship between serum levels of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF1)/IGF-binding protein-3 (IGFBP3) and the risk of esophageal carcinoma.METHODSWe assessed the relationship between the serum levels of these molecules and the risk of esophageal cancer in a prospective, nested case-control study of participants from the Japan Collaborative Cohort Study. A baseline survey was conducted from 1988 to 1990. Of the 110585 enrolled participants, 35% donated blood samples. Those who had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer were considered cases for nested case-control studies. A conditional logistic model was used to estimate odds ratios for the incidence of esophageal cancer associated with serum IGF1 and IGFBP3 levels.RESULTSThirty-one cases and 86 controls were eligible for the present assessment. The molar ratio of IGF1/IGFBP3, which represents the free and active form of IGF1, was not correlated with the risk of esophageal carcinoma. A higher molar difference between IGFBP3 and IGF1, which estimates the free form of IGFBP3, was associated with a decreased risk of esophageal carcinoma (P = 0.0146), and people in the highest tertile had the lowest risk (OR = 0.107, 95%CI: 0.017-0.669). After adjustment for body mass index, tobacco use, and alcohol intake, the molar difference of IGFBP3-IGF1 was inversely correlated with the risk of esophageal carcinoma (P = 0.0150).CONCLUSIONThe free form of IGFBP3, which is estimated by this molar difference, may be inversely associated with esophageal cancer incidence.

Technological Evolution of Historic Structural Mortars

Mortars are among the first building materials used in constructions, even from prehistoric times （8th millennium BC）. Their study reveals a great source of information regarding the evolution of their technological characteristics and application techniques, the availability and exploitation of raw materials, as well the wider socio-economic aspects of each era. The aim of this paper is to comparatively evaluate the analysis results from approximately 1,000 structural mortar samples taken from various monuments and historic buildings of Greece, dated from the Hellenistic period, until the beginning of the 20th century. The analysis focused in the determination of their physico-mechanical and chemical properties, such as porosity, apparent specific gravity, mechanical strength, aggregates type and granulometry and chemical composition. Through the results＇ evaluation, significant remarks can be made upon the evolution of the raw materials used （binding system, aggregates, additives）, as well as regarding the final properties of historic structural mortars. It is concluded that hydrated lime was the main binding agent used for a long-lasting period of 2.5 millenniums, while mixed type binding systems based on lime and natural pozzolan were systematically used for producing durable mortars, resistant to humidity. In any case, it seems that ancient masons were fully aware of the significant role of mortars in constructions and were capable of exploiting the available raw materials and application techniques to the maximum.

《结构化学》是由中国科学院主管,中国化学会、中国科学院福建物质结构研究所主办的学术性期刊。1982年由我国著名化学家卢嘉锡院士创办并担任主编,现任主编是著名化学家吴新涛院士。《结构化学》主要报道晶体学,量子化学,药物、材料和催化剂等领域物质性能与结构关系的文章。报道的内容涉及有机化学、无机化学、合成化学、结构化学、材料科学、药物化学、晶体学、理论化学等学科中的微观物质结构与性能关系的研究成果或阶段性成果。与此同时本刊也报道用谱学等物理方法解析物质结构、阐述物质结构与性能关系的论文。

Animal Experiment Study on Antitumor Effect of Matrine Liposome

Objective： To study the antitumor effect of matrine liposome in mice. Methods： The mice were selected as the research object, and SPSS （statistic package for social science）, matrine and matrine liposome were used for grouping. The antitumor effects of EAC, S 180 and H22 were evaluated by tumor weight, thymus weight and spleen weight. Results： The inhibitory effect of matrine liposome on EAC, S180 and H22 in mice was significantly higher than matrine, P 〈 0.05, which had statistical significance. Conclusion： Matrine liposome can effectively enhance the anti-tumor effect and improve the immunity of animals, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

Out of Absurdity On the Ending of Catch-22

As one of the first and most original creations of literary postmodernism, published in the year 1961, Catch-22＇s （1961） position in American literature remains secure. Yet its ending has been held as unconvincing ever since its publication. Taking the overall structure, tone, and the theme of the novel into consideration, this paper aims to prove the credibility of this controversial part. It consists of five sections apart from an introduction and a conclusion. Section One provides general information on the life and works of Joseph Heller. Section Two traces the impact of existentialism and the generation of black humor to clarify the literary position of Catch-22. Section Three brings out the disputative opinions on the ending part. Sections Four and Five, try to prove Yossarian＇s final desertion a natural and convincing ending from different perspectives： Section Four analyses how Yossarian gains an entropic vision of the cosmos; section Five studies his existential vision of physical life and searches for the immediate factors that propel Yossarian＇s desertion. Section five also explains the ending＇s change in tone and structure. The conclusion summarizes the paper and points out the social significance of the novel.

Designing Socially Sound Poultry FarmingmMatching Hen Ethology, Farm Management and Landscape Quality

In order to receive a licence to produce, poultry farmers have to take into account societal demands, among others： animal welfare, healthy working conditions for the workers and landscape quality. A way to reach a combination of these goals is to create a design for the poultry house and outdoor run. We propose a methodology based on five steps, which enables us to create a design that takes into consideration societal demands and that can be tested on its effects. These five steps are： 1. Giving a theoretical background on the societal demands （hen ethology, farm management and landscape quality） and based on this; 2. Giving a set of design criteria. 3. Describing the cttrrent state of the farm, in order to know its current qualities, 4. Making a design of the farm using the sets of criteria as guiding principle. 5. Reflecting on the design, to show whether the different criteria can be combined and where compromises are needed. A case study on an organic farm in the centre of the Netherlands showed that hen welfare, farm management and landscape quality can be improved together, although some measures do not add to all design criteria. Especially the effect on landscape quality and farm management is variable： the latter is also depending on the personal motivation of the farmer.

Research of Teaching Reform in Physical Education under the lifelong sports background

In order to meet the needs of social development of the situation and the quality of education, college physical education must continue to reform, so that students in school can fully grasp the basic knowledge of sports, improve exercise motivation, and cultivate good habits of lifelong physical exercise to lay a solid foundation. With greater development of university sports, teaching lifetime sports has had a major breakthrough.

Cultural Psychology： An Interdisciplinary Perspective

Cultural Psychology emerged as an interdisciplinary subfield roughly in the 1980s/1990s. With about thirty years of momentum, this discipline has grown from little more than a special interests group to a topic to which multiple institutions and journals have been dedicated. This paper presents an outline of the discipline of Cultural Psychology from an American interdisciplinary perspective. The pitfalls of General Psychology （research methodology, politicization, and an essentialist hermeneutic） and Anthropology （an epistemological gap in the four fields approach, psychophobia, and the role of the researcher in cultural change） are addressed, in turn. Cultural Psychology provides an alternative to these pitfalls by drawing on the strengths of each discipline to address both theoretical and empirical problems. Cultural Psychology urges for a critical reflection on the social structure and history of its own discipline, resulting in a broader academic canon and a more nuanced understanding of interdisciplinary relations within the human sciences.

“强学会”和“保国会”始末

戊戌维新运动时期,一种与以往的旧式文人结社迥然不同的崭新社会团体,出现在中国人民的政治生活之中,这就是维新派大力提倡的学会组织。维新派普遍认为,组织学会,对于挽救民族危亡,争取祖国富强,推动变法维新运动的开展,是一件至关重要的大事。
