[ Method] The habitats and growth environment of the wild Platycodon grandiflourus were investigated, and made a collection of the germplasm resources at 24 sites in Changbai Mountain area. [ Result ] Most of the exiting wild Platycodon grandiflourus survived because of its small roots that means no value and grew in poor or remote conditions that led to much difficulty to dig. The character of wild Platycodon grandiflourus was obviously inferior to cultivated Platycodon grandiflourus. [ Condusion] This study lays a foundation for the genetic diversity analysis and the establishment of germplasm resource pool of wild Platycodon grandflourus in Changbai Mountain Area.展开更多

Contemporary studies have revealed that blue and green waters of the basin have been manifesting increasing variability contributing to more severe droughts and floods apparently due to climate change. In order to gain greater appreciation of the impacts of climate change on water resources in the study area in near and distant future, SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) has been used. The model is first tested for its suitability in capturing the basin characteristics, and then, forecasts from six GCMs (general circulation models) with about half-a-century lead time to 2046-2064 and one-century lead time to 2080-2100 are incorporated to evaluate the impacts of climate change on water resources under three emission scenarios: A 1 B, A2 and BI. The results showed worsening water resources regime into the future.展开更多

The average annual rainfall is 1,430 mm and the total water resources are estimated at 215,000 Mm^3 (million of m^3)-year^-1. The hydric demand in the country is 70,000 Mm^3.year^-1, 6% of which is groundwater in origin. Over 70% of the water is used for agriculture. Thailand is the world's leading exporter of rice. The main problems faced by the Water Authority in Thailand are pollution, floods and droughts, depending on the geographical zone. From the hydrogeological point of view, the Central Plain is the main groundwater reservoir in the nation. Intensive extraction of groundwater over a long period of time has caused three main problems: a decline in groundwater levels, land subsidence, and seawater intrusion. These problems have been especially pressing in the area known as Greater Bangkok.展开更多

Therefore, access to the energy and/or energy resources is becoming the highest priority for the countries. In this study, the criteria that have to be kept in view while creating the energy policies are explained first of all. Then the geopolitics, redundancy and diversity are described as the strategic criteria and furthermore, the availability, energy resources geography, and the technological, economical and environmental criteria are examined as the operative criteria and thereafter the issues such as installation period, utilization period, reliability, repair-maintenance and public validation are handled as the tactical criteria. The nuclear power plants are examined and evaluated according to the criteria set forth above while creating the energy policies. Under the light of this evaluation, the situation is examined and explicated in terms of the energy expansion of Turkey. Thus the place of the nuclear energy in the energy expansion of Turkey is clarified and emphasized.展开更多
