[Method] The set of 17 biological traits of 24 Aceraceae species were observed and recorded. Taking into consideration aesthetic evaluation of different groups of people, the studied species were graded in quantitative scale. The species with higher overall score is considered better germplasm resource. [Result] The Aceraceae species with top ten highest overall scores were: Acer japonicum 'Aconitifolium' (45.5), Acer palmatum var. thunbergii (43.8), Acer palmatum (41.8), Acer elegantulum (39.2), Acer elegantulum var. macrurum (39.2), Acer rubrum (39.1), Acer Cordatum(38.8), Acer truncatum (38.3), Acer olivaceum (37.7) and Acer acutum (37.3). [Conclusion] The above ten species can be used preferentially as excellent Aceraceae germplasm resources for landscaping.展开更多

Use of Matlab software on the experimental results showing that project earning volatility influences investment probability, led the authors to conclude that this notion is not always correct, as increasing uncertainty should have an inhibiting effect on investment, and that in certain situation, increasing uncertainty actually increases the investment probability and so, should have positive impact on investment.展开更多

Incidence, disease index, percentage of infected kernels and DON content in the kernels were measured for each variety or line following artificial inoculation of Fusarium spp. pathogens. Reactions of wheat to Fusarium infection varied among genotypes and different types of resistance. The incidence of infection for each variety or line highly correlated to the severity of colonization after infection. DON content was more correlated to the percentage of kernels infected than to the overall incidence or severity. The selected control varieties were all susceptible to FHB, while seven breeding lines demonstrated good resistant performance. New FHB resistant winter wheat varieties appealing to the actual needs are expected from them.展开更多
