Results show that an ultrashort pulse can manipulate a coherent rotational wave packet of D2 se- lectively. In the calculation, a first laser pulse was used to create a coherent rotational wave packet from an initial thermal ensemble of D2 at the temperature of 300 K. The second laser pulse was used to manipulate the rotational wave packet selectively around the first quarter and the three quarters revival. The alignment parameter and its Fourier transform amplitude both illustrate that the relative populations of even and odd rotational states in the final rotational wave packet of D2 can be manipulated by precisely selecting the time delay between the first and the second ultrashort pulse.展开更多

The hypersingular integral equation technique has been used to analyze the problem mathematically. The integral equations are formulated by applying Green's integral theorem to the fundamental potential function and the scattered potential function into a suitable fluid region, and then using the boundary condition on the porous plate surface. These are solved approximately using an expansion-cure-collocation method where the behaviour of the potential functions at the tips of the plates have been used. This method ultimately produces a very good numerical approximation for the reflection and the transmission coefficients and hydrodynamic force components. The numerical results are depicted graphically against the wave number for a variety of layouts of the arc. Some results are compared with known results for similar configurations of dual rigid plate systems available in the literature with good agreement.展开更多

We calculate such contributions and find that in the allowed range of these R-violating couplings, the top pair production rate as well as the top quark polarization and the forward-backward asymmetry can be significantly altered. By comparing the unpolarized beams with the polarized beams, we find that the polarized beams are more powerful in probing such new physics.展开更多

The faults can be detected just by observing and comparing its parity of whole output of circuit with the expectation one. The way seemed to be less interesting to the test eagineers in the past days, mainly due to the reasons of its exhaustive testing and time-cousuming, which became a barrier as the number of input lines gets growing. However its great facility and convenience in testing still interest to the engineers who need to have a quick look at the qualities of the circuits without generating the test patterns for a given circuit to be tested. In this paper, a new approach called pseudo-parity testing is presented to deal with the dilemma we are facing: i. e. to change an exhaustive parity testing into a non-exhaustive one, followed by a pseudo- parity testable design to help realize the new way of pseudo-parity testing. The idea of pseudo-parity testing presented in this paper may resume its spirits towards its promising future.展开更多

In our numerical calculations weconsider two cases of input parameters of the squark and slepton sectors, M_(squark) 【 M_(slepton)and M_(squark) 】 M_(slepton), for comparison. The results show that the relative R-parity violatingcorrection is not very sensitive to the mass of the lightest neutralino bχ_1~0 the degenerateR-parity violating coupling parameter λ′_2 but strongly depends on M_(squark), M_(slepton) tan βand tie degenerate R-parity violating coupling parameter λ′_1. The relative correction is about -4~ 3% and can exceed -6% in some region of parameter space. Therefore, precise experiment analyseson the decay b_1 → bχ_1~0 may provide a probe of the R-parity violation.展开更多

First, radar imaging model and super-resolution reconstruction mechanism were outlined. Then, the adaptive-threshold SVD super-resolution algorithm, and its two key aspects, namely the determination method of point spread function (PSF) matrix T and the selection scheme of singular value threshold, were presented. Finally, the super-resolution algorithm was demonstrated successfully using the measured synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) images, and a Monte Carlo assessment was carried out to evaluate the performance of the algorithm by using the input/output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Five versions of SVD algorithms, namely 1 ) using all singular values, 2) using the top 80% singular values, 3) using the top 50% singular values, 4) using the top 20% singular values and 5) using singular values s such that S2≥/max(s2)/rinsNR were tested. The experimental results indicate that when the singular value threshold is set as Smax/(rinSNR)1/2, the super-resolution algorithm provides a good compromise between too much noise and too much bias and has good reconstruction results.展开更多

Accordingly, several forward error correction(FEC) codes, such as Reed-Solomon and convolutional codes have been used in noncoherent UWB systems to improve the bit error rate(BER) performance. In this paper, low-density parity-check(LDPC) codes are further studied as more powerful FEC candidates for noncoherent UWB systems. Two LDPC codes and the corresponding decoding procedures are presented for noncoherent UWB systems. Moreover, performance comparison between the LDPC codes and other FEC codes are provided for three major noncoherent UWB communication systems, namely, noncoherent pulse position modulation(NC-PPM), transmitted reference(TR) and transmitted reference pulse cluster(TRPC). Both theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the two investigated LDPC codes outperform other existing FEC codes with limited penalty in terms of complexity and therefore they are promising FEC candidates for noncoherent UWB systems with low-cost and low-power consumption.展开更多
