This article also suggests that the trend for future development of global refining industry is focused on the economy of scale for the refineries and the oil processing units, the refining structure readjustment, integration of the oil refining and chemical production and formation of oil refining bases. The oil refining industry will uninterruptedly rectify its industry allocation and processing unit configuration and strive for the reduction of production cost through technical progress and management innovations to reduce the production cost, boost the profitability and sharpen the market competitive edge.展开更多

Results indicate that.＂ （1） ranked by the order of low-, medium- and high-technology content, international competitiveness of China＇s industrial manufactured products is in a U-shaped distribution pattern; （2） distance between China＇s export advantage products and products with potentials is relatively small, which provides favorable micro-basis for steady transformation of export structure; （3） medium- and high-technology manufactured products including machinery and transport equipment will lead the upgrade of China＇s export,＂ and （4） countries in south Europe, transitional countries of the Central and Eastern Europe, and lndia will challenge China＇s leading position in low-technology products; China will compete with advanced countries of Europe in the area of medium-technology manufactured products and needs to catch up with and overtake the United States, and the developed economies in Europe and East Asia in the area of high-technology manufactured products. In order to enhance China＇s industrial international competitiveness, the government should pay great attention to the issue of the lack of competitiveness and low product density of medium-technology manufactured products, objectively view the dual effect of labor-intensive manufactured products in the upgrade of China＇s export structure, timely optimize policy portfolio for high-technology industries and give the highest priority to climbing up the value chain.展开更多

The results show that global economy has achieved a s...This paper summarizes, from a global perspective, the major progress in the implementation of the Agenda 21 since the UN Conference on Environment and Development. The results show that global economy has achieved a substantial growth, and positive progress has been made in poverty eradication, urbanization, and conservation and intensive use of natural resources. However, relevant international conventions and commitments have not yet been completely fulfilled. The paper further analyzes the current major challenges and future trends of global sustainable development. It is argued that there are three major challenges:1) fatal global environmental issues posing an increasing threat to human survival; 2) more and more severe global competition for developing spaces; and 3) issues highlighting global people's livelihood. There are four trends of global sustainable development:1) sustainable development will further turn from concept into global action; 2) green will be the main trend of global development; 3) emerging developing countries will become the main driving force of global sustainable development; and 4) international relations in the field of sustainable development will turn to competitive co-operation.展开更多

However, far more than the input and output did not reach the desired level that mainly reflected in the students＇ listening and speaking ability that is generally poor. The traditional thing on teaching students English reading, writing and translation capabilities are resulting in a ＂dumb＂ English, ＂deaf＇ English everywhere. In an increasingly integrated world economy today, English is a communication tool; the user in community uses the ability to meet a higher requirement. With reading, writing and translation capabilities, listening, and speaking skills for university graduates, they can have the ability to survive in nature. In the communication, listening and hearing are instant, they did not understand, and cannot say; in a word the communication is doomed to fail. The emergence of media convergence have so huge impact on paper-based media that paper-based media no longer has a monopoly. Some people assert that paper-based media will come to an end. However, the author believes ...The emergence of media convergence have so huge impact on paper-based media that paper-based media no longer has a monopoly. Some people assert that paper-based media will come to an end. However, the author believes that the paper media will not come to an end under the media convergence trend. It will develop parallel with media integration. The reason why the author has this view is that, on one hand, paper-based media has its unique physical characteristics. In the real world, paper media brought us the aesthetic experience by ＂five senses＂ . It cannot be replaced by the media convergence. The paper media will also make survival steering dimension; on the other hand, cultural heritage of the paper media make itself a unique appreciation of the value and not transcendent.
