Compared with gas-liquid two-phase flow,oil-gas-water three-phase flow is much more complex.There is immiscible oil-water,whose interaction and dispersion greatly affects the flow characteristics.The slug flow pattern of oil-gas-water three-phase and its flow pattern transition were studied in a 95 m long,51 mm i.d.horizontal pipe.The oil-gas-water three-phase slug flow pattern could be classified into five sub-flow patterns.The slug flow was W/O or O/W one during its transition to roll wave,which was three-layer flow pattern without mixed-phase on the interface.An even larger superficial gas velocity was needed for the transition boundary of slug flow and roll wave flow when the superficial liquid velocity is large.Besides,the region of roll wave flow pattern became smaller.The above-mentioned transition only happened when the water cut of liquid was between 30% and 70%.At the same superficial liquid velocity,there appeared a minimum superficial gas velocity corresponding to the transition of flow pattern when the water cut of liquid was between 40% and 50%. 展开更多

Restrained distortional buckling is an important buckling mode of steel-concrete composite box beams(SCCBB)under the hogging moment.Rotational and lateral deformation restraints of the bottom plate by the webs are essential factors affecting SCCBB distortional buckling.Based on the stationary potential energy principle,the analytical expressions for the rotational restraint stiffness(RRS)of the web upper edge as well as the RRS and the lateral restraint stiffness(LRS)of the bottom plate were derived.Also,the SCCBB critical moment formula under the hogging moment was derived.Using twenty specimens,the theoretical calculation method is compared with the finite-element method.Results indicate that the theoretical calculation method can effectively and accurately reflect the restraint effect of the studs,top steel flange,and other factors on the bottom plate.Both the RRS and the LRS have a nonlinear coupling relationship with the external loads and the RRS of the web’s upper edge.Under the hogging moment,the RRS of the web upper edge has a certain influence on the SCCBB distortional buckling critical moment.With increasing RRS of the web upper edge,the SCCBB critical moment increases at first and then tends to be stable. 展开更多

The temperature distribution is obtained numerically by considering the effect of the power law viscosity on thermal diffusivity and the characteristics of the flow and heat transfer are analyzed. The results show that the distribution of the thermal boundary layer depends not only on the velocity ratio parameter of the plate, but also on the power law index and Prandtl number of fluids. 展开更多

Up to now,the most widely used method for transition prediction is the one based on linear stability theory.When it is applied to three-dimensional boundary layers,one has to choose the direction,or path,along which the growth rate of the disturbance is to be integrated.The direction given by using saddle point method in the theory of complex variable function is seen as mathematically most reasonable.However,unlike the saddle point method applied to water waves,here its physical meaning is not so obvious,as the frequency and wave number may be complex.And on some occasions,in advancing the integration of the growth rate of the disturbance,up to a certain location,one may not be able to continue the integration,because the condition for specifying the direction set by the saddle point method can no longer be satisfied on the basis of continuously varying wave number.In this paper,these two problems are discussed,and suggestions for how to do transition prediction under the latter condition are provided. 展开更多

Kinetics of order-disorder transition at antiphase domain boundary (APDB) formed between L12 (Ni3A1) phases is investigated using microscopic phase-field model. The results demonstrate that whether order-disorder transition happens or not depends on the atomic structure of the APDB. Accompanied with the enrichment of V and depletion of Ni and A1, the ordered APDB with phase-shift vector of a/2[100] transforms into a thin disordered phase layer. Whereas at the APDB with phase shift vector of a/2[110], which remains ordered with temporal evolution, Ni and A1 enrich and V depletes. Composition evolution of APDB with order-disorder transition favors the nucleation of DO22 phase, and the formation of disordered phase layer accelerates the growth of DO22 phase. The disordered phase caused by order-disordered transition of the APDB can be considered as the transient phase along the precipitation path of DO22 phase. 展开更多
