By applying the simplification model, the contact stress of turbine rotor was computed. The maximum contact stress appears at the chamfer below the flank, which agrees with experiment result. At the same time, the contact stress changing with the flank angle and friction coefficient was calculated, The results show that the contact stress in the flank increases slowly with the increase of flank angle; with the friction coefficient increasing, the contact stress in flank length decreases; the contact stress will not change when the friction coefficient is over 0.25.展开更多

The extraction can be divided into two stages, i. e. the rough segmentation and the refinement. In the rough segmenting stage, an optimal contour matching method is put forward to find similar contour segment from another closed contour with respect to the seed contour. In the refining stage, an iterative way that can extract a circular arc precisely is presented based on parameters identification and contour-ends expanding/shrinking operation. The algorithm can extract the open contour segments from a rotational surface precisely, as demonstrated in the examples. Based on the work of this paper, further research, such as parameter identification of 3 - D surface and CAD model creation, can be conducted.展开更多

This platform singularity requires integration of multiple CAD (computer assisted design) & FEA (finite element analysis) tools processing in batch mode and driven from a SPIE (single platform integration environment). This first module is also to demonstrate, for an axial turbine disc hub axi-symmetric component, feasibility and usefulness of such a platform at preliminary design stage. Expected benefits of the D & A single platform are to improve output accuracy, reduce cycle time, improve process quality and improve resource productivity.展开更多

The main focus lies on the flow of the leading edge channels and the impact on theheat transfer. An experimental approach is performed with flow visualization via paint injection into water. Alsonumerical calculations are carried out in two sets, on the one hand water calculations accompanying the experimentsand on the other hand conjugate heat transfer calculations under realistic engine conditions. The latter calculationsare still ongoing delivering preliminary results.Five geometry configurations are investigated, three of them with differing turbulator arrangements in the leadingedge channels. The operating point of the base configuration is set to Re = 50,000 at the inlet while for the modifiedgeometries the pressure ratio is held constant compared to the base.Among several investigated configurations one could be identified that leads to a heat transfer enhancement inone leading edge channel 7 % larger compared to the base.展开更多
