For the case,as A→∞, the axial resolution is zero,which is corresponding to the conventional microscope.as A≤1,the axial resolution changes slightly,and is close to the optimal value,which is corresponding to the perfect confocal microscope.when the reflective loss takes place at the end of fiber,the contrast of axial intensity will decrease.All that will help the design of endoscope with confocal microscope at cellular level.展开更多

A gas film thickness distribution is presented, in which errors o f both circumferential and axial bearing housing are considered. The influence of the errors on bearing performance is compared between rigid and compliant surface bearings. It was shown that the compliant surface bearings are less sensitive to the manufacturing errors than the rigid surface bearings. Thelefore, the cost of compliant surface bearing could be reduced by setting a larger manufacturing error tolerance.展开更多

T...A stiffened cylindrical shell is normally used in refuge chambers of a coal mine. Based on the method of application and shape characteristics of a refuge chamber, we simplified its shell as an orthotropic cylinder. The basic buckling equation of the stiffened cylindrical shell under uniform axial compression was deduced by using a Donnell function. The factors affecting its buckling capacity were studied by theoretical analysis and numerical calculations. The results reveal that the torsional rigidity of the longitudinal stiffener had little effect on the buckling capacity of the shell and that the critical load of an externally stiffened cylindrical shell is higher than that of an internally stiffened cylindrical shell.展开更多
