To explain the mechanism of a hydro-viscous soft start, the startup process of a belt conveyor was numerically analyzed with the modified Reynolds equation, an energy equation and a temperature-viscosity equation. The effect of temperature and grooves of the friction disk surface on torque transfer and load capacity of the oil film have also been analyzed. The results show that 1) the grooves are the basis of forming dynamic pressure but they may reduce the capacity of torque transfer to a certain extent, 2) during the startup process, temperature has little effect on torque transfer and load capacity and the variation in load capacity of the oil film is very small, indicating that it is preferable to use the flow rate as a control object than the pressure of the feed cylinder. The results have been verified by an experiment.展开更多
With the increasing civil aviation passengers and the rapid development of aviation logistics,the study on remotely piloted operation(RPO)mode has received extensive attention.RPO mode constructs the piloting decision...With the increasing civil aviation passengers and the rapid development of aviation logistics,the study on remotely piloted operation(RPO)mode has received extensive attention.RPO mode constructs the piloting decisionmaking mode which involves the tripartite collaboration among airborne automatic/autonomous system,remote ground-based crews and air traffic control.In this paper,we describe the organizing architecture for commercial remotely piloted aircraft(CRPA)system and its components.Compared with the current operation mode,the new air-ground collaborative decision-making mode has been established with six different situations based on the type of the flight and the condition of the remote pilot.Taking airport surface operation as an experimental example,we model the airport surface operation process and compare the advantages and disadvantages between RPO mode and the current dual-pilot mode from the perspectives of time and operation coverage,and draw conclusions that RPO mode can basically cover the flight operations of the dual-pilot,improve the accuracy of pilot operations and greatly reduce response time by 48%in pre-flight inspection.The above research would be the foundation for the RPO development of commercial aircraft in China.展开更多

The governor dead band and GRC (generation rate constraint) is considered in this article. Digit simulations for both two areas and three areas power system with non-reheat turbines are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. How these machines are working individually and how a fleet of these machines cooperates will be in focus of research and development work in the future. In this paper the studied off-road vehicle is a wheel loader. It can be controlled manually, remotely or autonomously. The control strategy of autonomous wheel loader is consisting of, e.g., static and dynamic mapping, path planning, obstacle observation and avoidance. In the autonomous machines and also in machines where operator assistance system is active the situational awareness is the key research field. Power management in hydraulic work machines are still active fields of research. Multiple architectures and configurations have been suggested concerning this area. In addition, implemented solutions that consider an entire machine are rarely presented. This paper introduces the research work of the control systems which are minimising the fuel consumption.展开更多
