Surface roughness and surface morphology of Ni-Cr alloys were evaluated by surface profiler and scanning electron microscopy after being immersed in different concentrations of H2O2 for 112 h. Surface corrosion products of Ni-Cr alloys were analyzed by photoelectron spectrograph after being immersed in 0% and 30% H2O2. The order of increasing surface roughness of Ni-Cr alloys after being immersed in different concentrations of H2O2 was 0〈3.6%〈10%〈30%. As the concentration of hydrogen peroxide increased, the surface roughness of Ni-Cr alloys increased and the surface morphology showed different degrees of corrosion. According to the XPS results, the corrosion products formed on the outmost surface layer of the studied samples are Ni(OH)2 and BeO.展开更多

The thermodynamics calculation shows that all the standard Gibbs free energy changes of the reactions to form Na2CrO4, Na2O-Fe2O3, Na2O·Al2O3 and Na2O3 SiO2 via chromite ore and Na2CO3 are negative, and the standard Gibbs free energy changes of the reactions between MgO, Fe2O3 and SiO2 released from chromite spinel to form MgO-Fe2O3 and MgO·SiO2 are also negative at the oxidative roasting temperatures (1 173 1 473 K). The phrase analysis of the sinter in lime-free roasting process shows that Na2O·Fe2O3, Na2O·Al2O3 and Na2O·SiO2 can be formed in the first 20 min, but they decrease in contents and finally disappear with the increase of roasting time. The final phase compositions of the sinter are Na2CrO4, MgO·Fe2O3, MgO·SiO2 and MgO. The results indicate that Na2CrO4 can be formed easily via the reaction ofNa2CO3 with chromite ore. Na2O·Fe2O3, Na2O-Al2O3 and Na2O·SiO2 can be formed as intermediate compounds in the roasting process and they can further react with chromite ore to form Na2CrO4. MgO released from chromite ore may react with iron oxides and silicon oxide to form stable compounds of MgO·Fe2O3 and MgO·SiO2, respectively.展开更多

The characterization results of XRD, IR and SEM show that the hydrolysis reaction can be realized at a low reaction temperature of 80 ℃ and a reaction time of 24 h. Moreover, the greyish-green α-CrOOH with a hexagonal plate-like morphology and a large size of 10 μm is formed via the hydrolysis of the single-phase hexagonal KCrO2, while the green sol-gel of amorphous Cr(OH)3 with a lumpy aggregate morphology is generated through the hydrolysis of a cubic K3 CrO4. It is a facile and rapid method to synthesize pure-phase chromium oxyhydroxide via the above hydrolysis.展开更多

The reaction rate is monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the decrease in absorbance of ACBK at 524 nm. The detection limit of the method is 1.01×10?9 g/mL,and the linear range is 0-0.048 mg/L. The influence of acidity, concentration of reactants, reaction time, reaction temperature and for-eign ions is also discussed. The optimum reaction conditions were established and some kinetic parameters determined. The apparent activation energy of the catalytic reaction is 5.32 kJ/mol. The relative standard deviation for the determi-nation of titanium(IV) at the concentration of 0.048 mg/L is calculated to be 1.31% (n = 11). In combination with sol-vent extraction separation, the method has been successfully applied to the determination of trace titanium(IV) in human hair, plant matter, tea and rock samples. The results are in good agreement with the certified values with the relative standard deviations (RSD) of 1.4%-3.5%.展开更多

The results indicate that all the tested Cr(Ⅵ) concentrations significantly inhibit dehydrogenase activity by over 70% after 35 d. The activity of alkaline phosphatase is slightly inhibited during the whole experiment except for on the day 7. Cr(Ⅵ) has no obvious effect on the activity of catalase in soil. On the contrary, Cr(Ⅵ) stimulates the activity of polyphenol oxidase. The results suggest that dehydrogenase activity can be used as an indicator for assessing the severity of chromium pollution.展开更多
