When the coal was impregnated with an appropriate quantity of Ca and BL mixture, the catalytic activity of CO2 gasification was enhanced obviously. With a loading of 8%Na-BL+2%Ca, the carbon conversion of three coal samples tested reaches up to 92.9%-99.3% at 950℃ within 30min. The continuous formation of alkali surface compounds such as ([-COM], [-CO2M]) and the presence of exchanged Ca, such as calcium phenolate and calcium carboxylates (COO)2Ca, contribute to the increase in catalytic efficiency, and using BL+Ca is more efficient than that adding BL only, The homogeneous model and shrinking-core model were applied to correlate the data of conversion with time and to estimate the reaction rate constants under different temperature. The corresponding reaction activation energy (Ea) and pre-exponential factor of three anthracites were estimated. It is found that Ea is in the range from 73.6 to 121.4kJ·mol^-1 in the case of BL+Ca, and 74.3 to 104.2kJ·mol^-1 when only BL was used as the catalyst, both of which are much less than that from 143.5 to 181.4kJ·mol^-1 if no catalyst used. It is clearly demonstrated that both of BL+Ca mixture and BL could be the source of cheap and effective catalyst for coal gasification.展开更多

The voltages applied were in the range of 15-30 V. Anodizing current densities tested were 2 and 3 A/dm^2,while temperatures tested were 5 and 15 ℃. Thickness, surface morphology, hardness,and corrosion resistance of the oxide film were then evaluated.It was found that 25 V,2 A/dm^2 and 5 ℃ were suitable for this alloy when anodized in sulfuric acid. The oxide film was smooth with uniform thickness, low porosity, high hardness,and had the highest corrosion resistance at these parameters. However, discontinuous oxide films were observed from samples anodized at higher temperature of 15 ℃.Alternative electrolytes considered were sulfuric acid mixed with boric acid or citric acid. The results showed that electrolytes with boric acid or citric acid increased thickness, hardness, corrosion resistance and quality of the oxide films.However, these oxide films were inferior to those obtained with sulfuric acid electrolyte at lower temperature(25 V, 2 A/dm^2 and5 ℃).展开更多

A series of slurries was prepared from Australian (Au) and Chinese (YZ) coals. Both types of coal were ground by a Chinese (CUMT) and an Australian (JK) grinding process. The performance tests of the prepared CWS showed that fluidity of all slurries was acceptable. The concentration of the CWS from YZ coal ground by the CUMT grinding process was higher than when the JK grinding process was used. The highest concentration was 70.14% in this case. The concentration of the CWS prepared from Au coal by the JK grinding process was higher than when the CUMT grinding process was used. The highest con- centration in this case was 70.97%. These differences are caused by the particle size distribution devel- oped during the different grinding processes.展开更多

Using activated carbon as particle electrode, the effects of p H value, reaction temperature, electrolysis time and current on residual concentration of total organic carbon(TOC) were discussed in detail. The optimal conditions were obtained: pH 2.5, influent flow rate of 200 mL/min, 25 °C, 300 mA and 2h of electrolysis time, and the removal efficiency of TOC maintains at 35.57 %. The results of the electrochemical method indicate that ·OH radicals are produced in activated carbon anode in the electrolysis process and then adsorbed on the activated carbon surface. Microcell consists of ·OH radicals and the absorbed lignin. With the microcell reaction, the lignin is degraded, while the anodic polarized curve illustrates that the lignin is obviously oxidized in the anode. The contributions of direct and indirect electrolyses to the TOC removal ratio are about 50%, respectively.展开更多

Lab experiments using chem- ical grouting were done to study the grout. The grouted soil shapes and osmotic pressure were measured during the experiments. The tested characteristics of the grouted soil show that the diffusion mode of grout in saturated sandy soil is a combination of split compaction and osmosis. More specifically, the shape of the grouted soil is determined by split compaction while the size of the grouted soil shape is determined by osmosis. Sensor test results indicate that the main reason for the non-uniform grout diffusion is the anisotropic osmotic pressure field surrounding the grouting holes.展开更多

The results show that the viscosity of coal-oi...Using the self-developed viscosity measuring device, the viscosity variations of coal-oil slurries with temperature increasing during coal-oil co-processing were studied. The results show that the viscosity of coal-oil slurries prepared by different kinds of oil varies differently during heating. The viscosity of the coal-oil slurry prepared by the catalytic cracking slurry (FCC) generally decreases during heating. However, the viscosity of the coal-oil slurry prepared by the high-temperature coal tar (CT) will peak at 338 ℃ during heating. The differences in viscosity variations of coal-oil slurries are analyzed. In addition to the temperature, the properties of the solvents and coal are the main influencing factors. Because the used coal contains a large number of polar functional groups, the swelling behavior of the coal in polar solvent (CT) is stronger than that in non-polar solvent (FCC). The swelling effect of the coal can result in the appearance of the viscosity peak. Therefore, before 100 ~C, the solvent molecules entering into the coal pores is the main influencing factor of coal-oil slurries viscosity variations. After 100 ℃, the increasing of particle size of coal particles is the main influencing factor of coal-oil slurries viscosity variations.展开更多

A combination of the swirl enthalpy equilibration device (SEED) process, isothermal holding using insulation and addition of solid alloy during swirling was introduced as a novel method to improve the processability of semi solid slurry. The effects of isothermal holding and the addition of solid alloy on the temperature gradient between the centre and the wall and on the formation of a(Al) particles were examined. In additional tests, phosphorus and strontium were added to the molten metal to refine the primary and eutectic silicon structure to facilitate semi solid processing. The results show that the combination of the SEED process with two additional processing steps can produce semi-solid A390 alloys that can be rheoprocessed. The microstructure reveals an adequate amount of non-dendritic a(Al) globules surrounded by liquid, which greatly improves the processability of semi-solid slurry.展开更多

The property of solid/liquidsystems, filtration at different flow rates, specitic cake resistance, cake wetness, filtration rate, filtrate turbidity for filter aid selection and evaluation, and operation optimization are investigated. The raw poplar APMP fibers are stiff and have been detached from the lamella during APMP pulping process. During the refining process, the APMP fibers did not swell and fibrillate; they were easily broken and formed into fragments. The breaking length of formed hand sheets increased as the heating degree increased because lots of hydrogen bonds were formed between fibers and fine pieces. The tear strength of hand sheets first increased and then decreased as the beating degree changed from 17 to 70~SR. The maximum tear strength was achieved at 61 ~SR of the beating degree. These results indicated that the hydrogen bond between the fibers was the main factor influencing the tear index followed by the fiber length. Along with the increase of the beating degree, the sheet density increased while the opacity decreased.展开更多

Many of these monuments are built of stone and the binder used to bond the construction blocks after a lengthy period of time loses its properties. The loss of binding material or changes in its properties substantially endangers the stability of the monuments thus constituting a menace not only for the visitors, but also for the conservation work. One of such monuments is the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Egypt. In this pyramid different artificial compositions are used as binder and its application in different areas of the pyramid is uneven and almost undistinguishable. Currently it is only possible to appraise the state of preservation of the mortar as a result of weathering process. This research allows identifying up to six weathering types and their intensities. This typology was developed on several sample areas verifying its validity in situ. Since there is no possibility to carry out direct instrumental measurements or take any samples, the classification developed is just empirical and not general. However, it provides relevant support for the development of conservation plans.展开更多

Laboratory model test of water shutoff by grouting was conducted. Test results show that the diffusion length and water cutoff effect of the grout are significantly improved as the grout head is raised, due to the dilution of underground water, and it takes the grout longer than its gel time to cut off water.展开更多
Economic concentrations of Fe–Ti oxides occurring as massive layers in the middle and upper parts of the Hongge intrusion are different from other layered intrusions(Panzhihua and Baima) in the Emeishan large igneous...Economic concentrations of Fe–Ti oxides occurring as massive layers in the middle and upper parts of the Hongge intrusion are different from other layered intrusions(Panzhihua and Baima) in the Emeishan large igneous province, SW China. This paper reports on the new mineral compositions of magnetite and ilmenite for selected cumulate rocks and clinopyroxene and plagioclase for basalts. We use these data to estimate the oxidation state of parental magmas and during ore formation to constrain the factors leading to the abundant accumulation of Fe–Ti oxides involved with the Hongge layered intrusion. The results show that the oxygen fugacities of parental magma are in the range of FMQ-1.56 to FMQ+0.14, and the oxygen fugacities during the ore formation of the Fe–Ti oxides located in the lower olivine clinopyroxenite zone(LOZ) and the middle clinopyroxenite zone(MCZ) of the Hongge intrusion are in the range of FMQ-1.29 to FMQ-0.2 and FMQ-0.49 to FMQ+0.82, respectively.The MELTS model demonstrates that, as the oxygen fugacity increases from the FMQ-1 to FMQ+1, the proportion of crystallization magnetite increases from 11 % to 16 % and the crystallization temperature of the Fe–Ti oxides advances from 1134 to 1164 °C. The moderate oxygen fugacities for the Hongge MCZ indicate that the oxygen fugacity was not the only factor affecting the crystallization of Fe–Ti oxides. We speculated that theinitial anhydrous magma that arrived at the Hongge shallow magma chamber became hydrous by attracting the H_2O of the strata. In combination with increasing oxygen fugacities from the LOZ(FMQ-1.29 to FMQ-0.2) to the MCZ(FMQ-0.49 to FMQ+0.82), these two factors probably account for the large-scale Fe–Ti oxide ore layers in the MCZ of the Hongge intrusion.展开更多

The results show that Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption by SPR ...A batch experiment was conducted to investigate the adsorption of trivalent chromium (Cr(Ⅲ)) from aqueous solutions by sugarcane pulp residue (SPR) and biochar. The results show that Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption by SPR and biochar is highly pH-dependent and Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption amount increases with the increase of pH. The adsorption kinetics of Cr(Ⅲ) fits well with the pseudo-second-order model. The maximum Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption capacities of 15.85 mg/g and 3.43 mg/g for biochar and SPR were calculated by Langmuir model. This indicates that biochar has a larger ability for Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption than SPR. The free energy change value (AG) reveals a spontaneous sorption process of Cr(Ⅲ) onto SPR and non-spontaneous sorption process onto biochar. The entropy change (AS) and enthalpy change (AH) are found to be 66.27 J/(mol'K) and 17.13 kJ/mol for SPR and 91.59 J/(mol-K) and 30.875 kJ/mol for biochar which further reflect an affinity of Cr(Ⅲ) onto SPR and biochar. It is suggested that biochar has potential to be an efficient adsorbent in the removal of Cr(Ⅲ) from industrial wastewater.展开更多
The bioleaching of pyrrhotite was investigated using Sulfobacillus thermosulfidooxidans.The effects of pH,pulp concentration,inoculation amount,external addition of ferrous and ferric ions were examined.The pH is foun...The bioleaching of pyrrhotite was investigated using Sulfobacillus thermosulfidooxidans.The effects of pH,pulp concentration,inoculation amount,external addition of ferrous and ferric ions were examined.The pH is found to exert a profound effect on the leaching process for controlling the bacterial activity and precipitation of ferric ions mainly as jarosite.The results show that low pulp content increases the leaching rate of iron.The inoculation amount from 1×107 cell/mL to 1×108 cell/mL has positive effects on the leaching rate.The results also imply that addition of ferrous sulfate(1 g/L) is required for the bacteria to efficiently drive the extraction of iron,however,the leaching efficiency has no obvious enhancement when 2 g/L ferrous sulfate was added.Comparatively,addition of ferric sulfate(2 g/L) significantly inhibits the bioleaching process.At the end of bioleaching,jarosite and sulfur are observed on the surface of pyrrhotite residues by using XRD and SEM.With the passivation film formed by jarosite and sulfur,the continuous iron extraction is effectively blocked.展开更多

The bamboo kraft pulps were treated by the 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene auto-oxidation method or the 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene auto-oxidation combined with anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt to show the ef-fect of the superoxide anion radicals during the oxygen delignification of bamboo kraft pulp and the enhancing af-fect of anthraquinone compounds as an additive on delignification. The results indicated that the superoxide anion radicals could react with lignin and remove it from pulp with negligible damage on cellulose, and the an-thraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt could facilitate the generation of superoxide anion radical to enhance delig-nification of pulps. The oxygen delignification selectivity could be improved using the 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene auto-oxidation system combined with anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt.展开更多

The research covered the tests of two original constructions of conti...A laboratory-scale reaction-crystallization process of struvite synthesis from diluted water solution of Mg^2+, NH^+ 4 and PO3- ions was studied. The research covered the tests of two original constructions of continuous jet-pump Draft Tube Magma (DTM)-type crystallizers with internal circulation of suspension (upward/downward). Interactions between constructional, hydrodynamic and kinetic factors were established and discussed. Nucleation and linear growth rates of struvite crystals were calculated on the basis of population density distribution. Kinetic model of idealized Mixed Suspension Mixed Product Removal (MSMPR) crystallizer considering the size-dependent growth mechanism was applied (Rojkowski hyperbolic equation). For comparison purposes the kinetic data corre- sponded to a simpler, continuous draft tube-type crystallizer equipped with propeller agitator were analyzed. It was concluded that crystal product of larger size was withdrawn from the jet-pump DTM crystallizer of the descending flow of suspension in a mixing chamber.展开更多

In particular, the most useful me...This review work explains some of the most important techniques to detect the occurrence of magma mixing phenomena in the volcanic rocks by using SEM (scanning electron microscope). In particular, the most useful methods related to the different types of mixing are reviewed: complete mixing (blending) or incomplete mixing (mingling). For blending, backscattered electron images and EDS (energy dispersive spectroscopy) are the most accurate methods: an example taken from a sample of ash of the 2007 Stromboli volcano eruption was used. For mingling, the best method is given by X-ray elemental mapping (in particular of Ca and Si), as explained through the example taken from a sample of the 2003 explosive eruption of Soufriere Hills volcano. The aim of this work was to establish whereas would be useful to use backscattered eletron images, EDS, or X-ray elemental mapping techniques, according to the different types of mixing that occur very often in magmatic systems.展开更多

文摘The electrochemical degradation of reed pulp black liquor containing lignin pretreated by acidification method was investigated using a three-dimensional electrode reactor. Using activated carbon as particle electrode, the effects of p H value, reaction temperature, electrolysis time and current on residual concentration of total organic carbon(TOC) were discussed in detail. The optimal conditions were obtained: pH 2.5, influent flow rate of 200 mL/min, 25 °C, 300 mA and 2h of electrolysis time, and the removal efficiency of TOC maintains at 35.57 %. The results of the electrochemical method indicate that ·OH radicals are produced in activated carbon anode in the electrolysis process and then adsorbed on the activated carbon surface. Microcell consists of ·OH radicals and the absorbed lignin. With the microcell reaction, the lignin is degraded, while the anodic polarized curve illustrates that the lignin is obviously oxidized in the anode. The contributions of direct and indirect electrolyses to the TOC removal ratio are about 50%, respectively.

文摘The deep, loose bottom aquifer of the eastern air shaft in the Xinglongzhuang Coal Mine was used to develop an experimental model of shaft grouting through Model deep soil. Lab experiments using chem- ical grouting were done to study the grout. The grouted soil shapes and osmotic pressure were measured during the experiments. The tested characteristics of the grouted soil show that the diffusion mode of grout in saturated sandy soil is a combination of split compaction and osmosis. More specifically, the shape of the grouted soil is determined by split compaction while the size of the grouted soil shape is determined by osmosis. Sensor test results indicate that the main reason for the non-uniform grout diffusion is the anisotropic osmotic pressure field surrounding the grouting holes.
文摘Using the self-developed viscosity measuring device, the viscosity variations of coal-oil slurries with temperature increasing during coal-oil co-processing were studied. The results show that the viscosity of coal-oil slurries prepared by different kinds of oil varies differently during heating. The viscosity of the coal-oil slurry prepared by the catalytic cracking slurry (FCC) generally decreases during heating. However, the viscosity of the coal-oil slurry prepared by the high-temperature coal tar (CT) will peak at 338 ℃ during heating. The differences in viscosity variations of coal-oil slurries are analyzed. In addition to the temperature, the properties of the solvents and coal are the main influencing factors. Because the used coal contains a large number of polar functional groups, the swelling behavior of the coal in polar solvent (CT) is stronger than that in non-polar solvent (FCC). The swelling effect of the coal can result in the appearance of the viscosity peak. Therefore, before 100 ~C, the solvent molecules entering into the coal pores is the main influencing factor of coal-oil slurries viscosity variations. After 100 ℃, the increasing of particle size of coal particles is the main influencing factor of coal-oil slurries viscosity variations.

文摘The feasibility of semi solid processing of hypereutectic A390 alloys using a novel rheoforming process was investigated. A combination of the swirl enthalpy equilibration device (SEED) process, isothermal holding using insulation and addition of solid alloy during swirling was introduced as a novel method to improve the processability of semi solid slurry. The effects of isothermal holding and the addition of solid alloy on the temperature gradient between the centre and the wall and on the formation of a(Al) particles were examined. In additional tests, phosphorus and strontium were added to the molten metal to refine the primary and eutectic silicon structure to facilitate semi solid processing. The results show that the combination of the SEED process with two additional processing steps can produce semi-solid A390 alloys that can be rheoprocessed. The microstructure reveals an adequate amount of non-dendritic a(Al) globules surrounded by liquid, which greatly improves the processability of semi-solid slurry.

文摘The formation of non-dendritic structures in the primary phase of an aluminum alloy solidified using low superheat pouring with a shearing field(LSPSF) machine was investigated by numerical simulation.The growth and motion of a dendrite during solidification was simulated by a combination of the lattice Boltzmann method and the phase field method.The simulation results indicated that enough shear flow helped homogenize the concentration fields,rotate crystals and altere microstructures from dendritic to non-dendritic.The interaction of grains was also discussed.A fragmentation criterion was established based on partial remelting of dendrite arms;fragmentation was enhanced by a strong shear flow and larger inclined angles.The simulation results were verified experimentally.
文摘In this paper, a study to enhance the filtration for solid/liquid materials difficult to be filtered, such as highly viscous, highly compactible or gel like materials, is presented. Filter aids diatomaceous earth and wood pulp cellulose are used to enhance the filtration by improving filter cake structure and properties in the filtration of a biological health product and a highly viscous chemical fiber polymer melt product. The property of solid/liquidsystems, filtration at different flow rates, specitic cake resistance, cake wetness, filtration rate, filtrate turbidity for filter aid selection and evaluation, and operation optimization are investigated. The results are successfully applied to industrial process, .and can be used as a reference for similar filtration applications.
文摘Poplar alkaline peroxide mechanical pulp (APMP) was refined in a PFI mill at varied revolution and the properties of the refined fibers and the resulting hand sheets were tested. The raw poplar APMP fibers are stiff and have been detached from the lamella during APMP pulping process. During the refining process, the APMP fibers did not swell and fibrillate; they were easily broken and formed into fragments. The breaking length of formed hand sheets increased as the heating degree increased because lots of hydrogen bonds were formed between fibers and fine pieces. The tear strength of hand sheets first increased and then decreased as the beating degree changed from 17 to 70~SR. The maximum tear strength was achieved at 61 ~SR of the beating degree. These results indicated that the hydrogen bond between the fibers was the main factor influencing the tear index followed by the fiber length. Along with the increase of the beating degree, the sheet density increased while the opacity decreased.
文摘Monitoring and assessment of monuments of cultural heritage is just a small part of all measures necessary for their protection and preservation. Many of these monuments are built of stone and the binder used to bond the construction blocks after a lengthy period of time loses its properties. The loss of binding material or changes in its properties substantially endangers the stability of the monuments thus constituting a menace not only for the visitors, but also for the conservation work. One of such monuments is the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Egypt. In this pyramid different artificial compositions are used as binder and its application in different areas of the pyramid is uneven and almost undistinguishable. Currently it is only possible to appraise the state of preservation of the mortar as a result of weathering process. This research allows identifying up to six weathering types and their intensities. This typology was developed on several sample areas verifying its validity in situ. Since there is no possibility to carry out direct instrumental measurements or take any samples, the classification developed is just empirical and not general. However, it provides relevant support for the development of conservation plans.

文摘The rheological behavior of phosphoric acid-water glass grout in different mixing ratios was studied. Grout made of water glass with Baume degree of 20° and 13.4% phosphoric acid by 1:1 volume ratio is found to be more effective in stopping water. Laboratory model test of water shutoff by grouting was conducted. Test results show that the diffusion length and water cutoff effect of the grout are significantly improved as the grout head is raised, due to the dilution of underground water, and it takes the grout longer than its gel time to cut off water.

文摘Economic concentrations of Fe–Ti oxides occurring as massive layers in the middle and upper parts of the Hongge intrusion are different from other layered intrusions(Panzhihua and Baima) in the Emeishan large igneous province, SW China. This paper reports on the new mineral compositions of magnetite and ilmenite for selected cumulate rocks and clinopyroxene and plagioclase for basalts. We use these data to estimate the oxidation state of parental magmas and during ore formation to constrain the factors leading to the abundant accumulation of Fe–Ti oxides involved with the Hongge layered intrusion. The results show that the oxygen fugacities of parental magma are in the range of FMQ-1.56 to FMQ+0.14, and the oxygen fugacities during the ore formation of the Fe–Ti oxides located in the lower olivine clinopyroxenite zone(LOZ) and the middle clinopyroxenite zone(MCZ) of the Hongge intrusion are in the range of FMQ-1.29 to FMQ-0.2 and FMQ-0.49 to FMQ+0.82, respectively.The MELTS model demonstrates that, as the oxygen fugacity increases from the FMQ-1 to FMQ+1, the proportion of crystallization magnetite increases from 11 % to 16 % and the crystallization temperature of the Fe–Ti oxides advances from 1134 to 1164 °C. The moderate oxygen fugacities for the Hongge MCZ indicate that the oxygen fugacity was not the only factor affecting the crystallization of Fe–Ti oxides. We speculated that theinitial anhydrous magma that arrived at the Hongge shallow magma chamber became hydrous by attracting the H_2O of the strata. In combination with increasing oxygen fugacities from the LOZ(FMQ-1.29 to FMQ-0.2) to the MCZ(FMQ-0.49 to FMQ+0.82), these two factors probably account for the large-scale Fe–Ti oxide ore layers in the MCZ of the Hongge intrusion.

文摘A batch experiment was conducted to investigate the adsorption of trivalent chromium (Cr(Ⅲ)) from aqueous solutions by sugarcane pulp residue (SPR) and biochar. The results show that Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption by SPR and biochar is highly pH-dependent and Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption amount increases with the increase of pH. The adsorption kinetics of Cr(Ⅲ) fits well with the pseudo-second-order model. The maximum Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption capacities of 15.85 mg/g and 3.43 mg/g for biochar and SPR were calculated by Langmuir model. This indicates that biochar has a larger ability for Cr(Ⅲ) adsorption than SPR. The free energy change value (AG) reveals a spontaneous sorption process of Cr(Ⅲ) onto SPR and non-spontaneous sorption process onto biochar. The entropy change (AS) and enthalpy change (AH) are found to be 66.27 J/(mol'K) and 17.13 kJ/mol for SPR and 91.59 J/(mol-K) and 30.875 kJ/mol for biochar which further reflect an affinity of Cr(Ⅲ) onto SPR and biochar. It is suggested that biochar has potential to be an efficient adsorbent in the removal of Cr(Ⅲ) from industrial wastewater.

文摘The bioleaching of pyrrhotite was investigated using Sulfobacillus thermosulfidooxidans.The effects of pH,pulp concentration,inoculation amount,external addition of ferrous and ferric ions were examined.The pH is found to exert a profound effect on the leaching process for controlling the bacterial activity and precipitation of ferric ions mainly as jarosite.The results show that low pulp content increases the leaching rate of iron.The inoculation amount from 1×107 cell/mL to 1×108 cell/mL has positive effects on the leaching rate.The results also imply that addition of ferrous sulfate(1 g/L) is required for the bacteria to efficiently drive the extraction of iron,however,the leaching efficiency has no obvious enhancement when 2 g/L ferrous sulfate was added.Comparatively,addition of ferric sulfate(2 g/L) significantly inhibits the bioleaching process.At the end of bioleaching,jarosite and sulfur are observed on the surface of pyrrhotite residues by using XRD and SEM.With the passivation film formed by jarosite and sulfur,the continuous iron extraction is effectively blocked.

文摘In this study, the superoxide anion radicals were generated by the auto-oxidation of 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene and determined by UV spectrophotometry, and the reaction was found to be facilitated by anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt. The bamboo kraft pulps were treated by the 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene auto-oxidation method or the 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene auto-oxidation combined with anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt to show the ef-fect of the superoxide anion radicals during the oxygen delignification of bamboo kraft pulp and the enhancing af-fect of anthraquinone compounds as an additive on delignification. The results indicated that the superoxide anion radicals could react with lignin and remove it from pulp with negligible damage on cellulose, and the an-thraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt could facilitate the generation of superoxide anion radical to enhance delig-nification of pulps. The oxygen delignification selectivity could be improved using the 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene auto-oxidation system combined with anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt.
文摘A laboratory-scale reaction-crystallization process of struvite synthesis from diluted water solution of Mg^2+, NH^+ 4 and PO3- ions was studied. The research covered the tests of two original constructions of continuous jet-pump Draft Tube Magma (DTM)-type crystallizers with internal circulation of suspension (upward/downward). Interactions between constructional, hydrodynamic and kinetic factors were established and discussed. Nucleation and linear growth rates of struvite crystals were calculated on the basis of population density distribution. Kinetic model of idealized Mixed Suspension Mixed Product Removal (MSMPR) crystallizer considering the size-dependent growth mechanism was applied (Rojkowski hyperbolic equation). For comparison purposes the kinetic data corre- sponded to a simpler, continuous draft tube-type crystallizer equipped with propeller agitator were analyzed. It was concluded that crystal product of larger size was withdrawn from the jet-pump DTM crystallizer of the descending flow of suspension in a mixing chamber.

文摘The effects of isothermal holding time on the semisolid microstructure of Mg-9Al-1Si(mass fraction,%)alloy were investigated.The research results indicate that the Mg-9Al-1Si alloy with non-dendritic microstructure can be produced by the semi-solid isothermal heat treatment.With holding time varying from 5 to 30 min,the volume fraction of liquid is gradually enlarged from 29.3%to 38.6%,the morphology ofα-Mg grains changes from initial dendritic shape to spherical types and their average sizes increases from 41.1 to 56.1μm.In addition,during the isothermal heat treatment,the eutectic Mg2Si phase changes from the initial Chinese script shape to granule and/or polygon shape in Mg-9Al-1Si alloy.The modification of Mg2Si phase is possibly attributed to a shift of the eutectic composition of the liquid in semi-solid slurries,towards lower silicon contents with increasing Al content due to a redistribution of Al during isothermal heat treatment.
文摘This review work explains some of the most important techniques to detect the occurrence of magma mixing phenomena in the volcanic rocks by using SEM (scanning electron microscope). In particular, the most useful methods related to the different types of mixing are reviewed: complete mixing (blending) or incomplete mixing (mingling). For blending, backscattered electron images and EDS (energy dispersive spectroscopy) are the most accurate methods: an example taken from a sample of ash of the 2007 Stromboli volcano eruption was used. For mingling, the best method is given by X-ray elemental mapping (in particular of Ca and Si), as explained through the example taken from a sample of the 2003 explosive eruption of Soufriere Hills volcano. The aim of this work was to establish whereas would be useful to use backscattered eletron images, EDS, or X-ray elemental mapping techniques, according to the different types of mixing that occur very often in magmatic systems.
