随着FDM打印机技术的快速发展,客户个性化与多样化的需求越来越大,采用模块化设计是企业快速满足客户定制化需求的关键技术之一。文中基于FDM打印机模块化设计过程,建立评价指标,运用物元模型的评估方法,构建模块化设计过程的评价因素... 随着FDM打印机技术的快速发展,客户个性化与多样化的需求越来越大,采用模块化设计是企业快速满足客户定制化需求的关键技术之一。文中基于FDM打印机模块化设计过程,建立评价指标,运用物元模型的评估方法,构建模块化设计过程的评价因素与关联矩阵,进而采用层次分析法构建评价因素的权重系数,通过一致性检验,使用yaahp软件进行灵敏度分析,最后评价FDM打印机模块化设计过程的合理性。结果表明,运用物元模型评估FDM打印机模块化设计过程具有较好的配置效率和柔性,验证了运用基于物元模型的评估方法对FDM打印机模块化设计过程评价的可行性。 展开更多

To simplify the complicated design process of deployable/retractable structures, a new design process is developed. The process is divided into three phases: the concept design phase, the model phase and the optimization phase. In each phase, different parameter targets have to be fulfilled. According to three phases, a deployable/retractable mast composed of four right triangle prism modules in the longitudinal direction is designed. It can be deployed and folded simultaneously by the linear movements of sleeve-joints. The deployable and retractable movement of the mast is analyzed and key joint forms are designed. Then bar diameters and joint forms are modified based on mast structural mechanics characteristics in the optimization phase. Finally a 1:1 scaled model mast is built to verify the design and the optimization. Analytical results show that the model mast has the advantages of simple locking mechanism, fewer types of joints and bars, so it can be easily manufactured. 展开更多

In order to keep competitive in the global marketplace, each company must optimize its production management and set up a reactive system for market fluctuation. Scheduling is the core of production management in chemical processes. The goal of this paper is to review the recent developments in this challenging area. Classifications of batch scheduling problems and optimization methods are introduced. A comparison of six typical models is shown in a general benchmark example from the literature. Fluidized beds enable good solids mixing,high rates of heat and mass transfer,and large throughputs,but there remain issues related to fluidization quality and scale-up.In this work I review modification techniques for fluidized beds from the perspective of the principles of process intensification(PI),that is,effective bubbling suppression and elutriation control.These techniques are further refined into(1)design factors,e.g.modifying the bed configuration,or the application of internal and external forces,and(2)operational factors,including altering the particle properties(e.g.size,density,surface area)and fluidizing gas properties(e.g.density,viscosity,or velocity).As far as two proposed PI principles are concerned,our review suggests that it ought to be possible to gain improvements of between 2 and 4 times over conventional fluidized bed designs by the application of these techniques. 展开更多

Liquid-phase oxidation of toluene with air has become the main technology for producing benzoic acid in a reactor at present. Based on the kinetic model of the toluene oxidation process obtained from laboratory and mass balance of key component, a novel model is established to simulate the industrial toluene oxidation process, in which the effects of benzaldehyde and benzyl alcohol are considered and the kinetic parameters are revised by industrial data. The simulation results show that the error of benzoic acid yield is within 3.5%. Based on the simulation model, to maximize the benzoic acid yield, an optimization model is proposed to optimize the operating parameters, including toluene feed-in mass flux and temperature. The optimization result indicates that on the allowable operating conditions the maximum benzoic acid yield obtained with the reaction temperature at 167.2 C an the mass flux at 104.1 t·h^- 1 is greater than the current one, which can be used to guide industrial reactor s operation. 展开更多

Operation optimization is an effective method to explore potential economic benefits for existing plants. The m.aximum potential benefit from operationoptimization is determined by the distances between current operating point and process constraints, which is related to the margins of design variables. Because of various ciisturbances in chemical processes, some distances must be reserved for fluctuations of process variables and the optimum operating point is not on some process constraints. Thus the benefit of steady-state optimization can not be fully achied(ed while that of dynamic optimization can be really achieved. In this study, the steady-state optimizationand dynamic optimization are used, and the potential benefit-is divided into achievable benefit for profit and unachievable benefit for control. The fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) is used for case study. With the analysis on how the margins of design variables influence the economic benefit and control performance, the bottlenecks of process design are found and appropriate control structure can be selected. 展开更多

Examples include bi-objective optimization problems, where the economic objective is maximized and environmental impact is minimized simultaneously. Moreover, the random behavior in the process,property, market fluctuation, errors in model prediction and so on would affect the performance of a process. Therefore, it is essential to develop a MOO methodology under uncertainty. In this article, the authors propose a generic and systematic optimization methodology for chemical process design under uncertainty. It aims at identifying the optimal design from a number of candidates. The utility of this methodology is demonstrated by a case study based on the design of a condensate treatment unit in an ammonia plant. 展开更多

Signed digraphs (SDG) capture the direction of the effect. It should be mentioned that there are loops in SDG generated from chemical process. From the point of the inherent operability, the worst unsafe factor is the SDG having positive loops that means any disturbance occurring within the loop will propagate through the nodes one by one and are amplified gradually, so the system may lose control, which may lead to an accident. So finding the positive loops in a SDG and treating these unsafe factors in a proper manner can improve the inherent safety of a chemical process. This article proposed a method that can detect the above-mentioned unsafe factors in the proc- ess conceptual design stage automatically through the analysis of the SDG generated from the chemical process. A case study is illustrated to show the working of the algorithm, and then a complicated case from industry is studied to depict the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多
