Based on the pipe transportation of paste-like backfilling system of a certain deep coal mine,its dynamics process was simulated and analyzed.A two-dimensional dynamic model of extraordinary deep and lone pipe was bui...Based on the pipe transportation of paste-like backfilling system of a certain deep coal mine,its dynamics process was simulated and analyzed.A two-dimensional dynamic model of extraordinary deep and lone pipe was built by GAMBIT,on the basis of which the simulation was done by implicit solver of FLUENT 2ddp.The results show that hydraulic loss of pipe transportation is less than the pressure produced by gravity,which means the backfilling material can flow by itself.When the inlet velocity is 3.2 m/s,the maximum velocity of 4.10 m/s is at the elbow and the maximum velocity in the horizontal pipe is 3.91 m/s,which can both meet the stability requirement.The results of the simulation are proved to be reliable by the residual monitor plotting of related parameter,so it can be concluded that the system of pipe transportation is safe.展开更多

The capacitance sensor with new structure has twelve internal electrodes and overcomes the influence of the pipe wall. The data collection system is improved by using high performance IC (integrated circuit). Static tests of bubble flow, stratified flow and annular flow regime are carried out. Measurements are taken on bubble flow, stratified flow and slug flow. Results show that the new ECT system performs well on void fraction measurement of bubble flow and stratified flow, but the error of measurement for slug flow is more than 10%.展开更多

These results are part of a research which aimed to obtain a Road User Cost Model to be used as a tool in road management systems. This model is different from other models by the fact that it includes a simple formulation that allows calibration and calculation of cost parameters, for any year, in a simple and fast way, providing trustworthy results. The required data is already available in Portuguese institutions, allowing periodic revision of cost parameters to insure accuracy.展开更多

The proposed method is a two-step process, in which the total cong...Congestion management in an electricity market is introduced in this paper and a new method of allocating congestion cost to transactions is proposed. The proposed method is a two-step process, in which the total congestion cost is firstly allocated to congested facilities and then to each transaction involved. The cost of relieving a congested facility allocated to each transaction is proportional to the power flow change on the congested facility caused by the transaction. The more the power flow change is on the congested facility caused by the transaction, the deeper the degree of involvement by the transaction. Therefore, cutting down the magnitudes of such transactions contributes to relieving congestion. Test results on a 5-bus system indicate that the proposed method can reflect reasonably the degree of involvement by each transaction in the congestion and provide correct price signals contributing to relieving congestion.展开更多

Facing the challenge of safety and sustainability of MRT, it is urgent to develop a structural inspection strategy and maintenance system based on the concept of life cycle management. In the mean while, BIM (Building Information Modeling) has become an emerging technology in the architecture and construction industries. BIM utilizes the 3D (3 Dimensions) CAD objects to simulate the real word building elements and with the ability to maintain life cycle information for a building. BIM is an ideal tool and platform for developing an inspection and maintenance system. The goal of this research is to establish a MRT structural inspection system concept based on BIM and life cycle management. In this study, a BIM model of shield tunnel was established to demonstrate the integration of 3D CAD with inspection records. A MRT structural maintenance database, which includes structural deterioration types, inspection records, and repair methods, was designed to interact with the BIM. An inspection prototype system was designed and implemented to perform the MRT structural inspection. The proposed system was designed with mobile-side and server-side systems. The mobile-side system was designed to perform on mobile devices such as tablet computer or smart phones with the ability to mark defects on BIM, as well as to fill in inspection sheets and photos; the server-side system can assign inspection tasks, maintains all inspection records, automatically output inspection reports, and analyze the database to prioritize all maintenance tasks.展开更多
Traffic matrix is an abstract representation of the traffic volume flowing between sets of source and destination pairs.It is a key input parameter of network operations management,planning,provisioning and traffic en...Traffic matrix is an abstract representation of the traffic volume flowing between sets of source and destination pairs.It is a key input parameter of network operations management,planning,provisioning and traffic engineering.Traffic matrix is also important in the context of OpenFlow-based networks.Because even good measurement systems can suffer from errors and data collection systems can fail,missing values are common.Existing matrix completion methods do not consider traffic exhibit characteristics and only provide a finite precision.To address this problem,this paper proposes a novel approach based on compressive sensing and traffic self-similarity to reconstruct the missing traffic flow data.Firstly,we analyze the realworld traffic matrix,which all exhibit lowrank structure,temporal smoothness feature and spatial self-similarity.Then,we propose Self-Similarity and Temporal Compressive Sensing(SSTCS) algorithm to reconstruct the missing traffic data.The extensive experiments with the real-world traffic matrix show that our proposed SSTCS can significantly reduce data reconstruction errors and achieve satisfactory accuracy comparing with the existing solutions.Typically SSTCS can successfully reconstruct the traffic matrix with less than 32%errors when as much as98%of the data is missing.展开更多

This paper analyzes the characteristics of resources in the distributed environment and proposes a new resource management architecture by considering the resource aggregation capacity of cloud computing. The architecture includes a universal resource scheduling optimization model which has been applied successfully in double-district multi-ship-scheduling multi-container-yard empty containers transporting of international shipping logistics. It combines the two factors, contingency likelihood and severity, that determine system reliability, into risk indices on different loads and operation modes, which provide precise evaluation of the power grid's security performance. According to these indices, it can know the vulnerable area of the system and whether the normal operating mode or repair mode is over-limited or not, and provide decision-making support for dispatchers. Common cause outages and equipment-aging are considered in terms of the establishment of outage model. Biological processes and behaviors of endothelial cells on the inner surfaces of blood vessels are regulated by the stimulation from biochemical signals contained in the blood.In this paper,the transportation of dynam...Biological processes and behaviors of endothelial cells on the inner surfaces of blood vessels are regulated by the stimulation from biochemical signals contained in the blood.In this paper,the transportation of dynamic biochemical signals in non-reversing oscillatory flows in blood vessels is analyzed by numerically solving a nonlinear governing equation for the time-dependent Taylor-Aris dispersion.Results show that the nonlinear frequency-amplitude modulation of the transportation of biochemical signals is more(less) significant when the frequency of an oscillatory flow is close to(higher than) that of an oscillatory signal.Under steady flow,the transfer function for the signal transmission system is obtained,showing that the system is a low-pass filter.Lower inner radius or higher center-line velocity of a blood vessel increases the cutoff frequency of the transportation system.These results suggest the possibility and condition for the 'remote' transmission of low-frequency dynamic biochemical signals in pulsatile blood flows.展开更多

In order to have the traffic management department make pre-appropriate traffic management measures to adjust the traffic management control program, and release travel information to travelers, to provide optimal path options to ensure that the transport system operates efficiently and safely, we have to monitor the changing of the state of road traffic and to accurately evaluate the state of the traffic, then to predict the future state of traffic. This paper represents the construction of the road traffic flow simulation including the logical structure and the physical structure, and introduces the system functions of forecasting system in Beijing.

文摘To address the challenges posed by resource shortage or surplus to enterprises productivity,Internet platforms have been widely used,which can balance shortage and surplus in broader environments. However,the existing resource management models lack openness,sharing ability and scalability,which make it difficult for many heterogeneous resources to co-exist in the same system. It is also difficult to resolve the conflicts between distributed self-management and centralized scheduling in the system. This paper analyzes the characteristics of resources in the distributed environment and proposes a new resource management architecture by considering the resource aggregation capacity of cloud computing. The architecture includes a universal resource scheduling optimization model which has been applied successfully in double-district multi-ship-scheduling multi-container-yard empty containers transporting of international shipping logistics. Applications in all these domains prove that this new resource management architecture is feasible and can achieve the expected effect.
文摘In this paper, online security warning and risk assessment of power grid are proposed, based on data from EMS (Energy Management System), combined with information of real-time operation state, component status and external operating environment. It combines the two factors, contingency likelihood and severity, that determine system reliability, into risk indices on different loads and operation modes, which provide precise evaluation of the power grid's security performance. According to these indices, it can know the vulnerable area of the system and whether the normal operating mode or repair mode is over-limited or not, and provide decision-making support for dispatchers. Common cause outages and equipment-aging are considered in terms of the establishment of outage model. Multiple risk indices are defined in order to reflect the risk level of the power grid more comprehensively.
文摘This paper presents an overview of the safety performance of the major existing pipeline transmission system in Canada, USA and Europe. The article deals the experience of Georgia in the development of pipeline transport. The information on the distribution of catastrophic failures and incidents per individual cause is given. The role of corrosion in these failures is considered. To ensure efficient and reliable operations of oil and gas pipelines, the new compositions of competitive cost effective protective pipe enamel coatings have been developed.

文摘Biological processes and behaviors of endothelial cells on the inner surfaces of blood vessels are regulated by the stimulation from biochemical signals contained in the blood.In this paper,the transportation of dynamic biochemical signals in non-reversing oscillatory flows in blood vessels is analyzed by numerically solving a nonlinear governing equation for the time-dependent Taylor-Aris dispersion.Results show that the nonlinear frequency-amplitude modulation of the transportation of biochemical signals is more(less) significant when the frequency of an oscillatory flow is close to(higher than) that of an oscillatory signal.Under steady flow,the transfer function for the signal transmission system is obtained,showing that the system is a low-pass filter.Lower inner radius or higher center-line velocity of a blood vessel increases the cutoff frequency of the transportation system.These results suggest the possibility and condition for the 'remote' transmission of low-frequency dynamic biochemical signals in pulsatile blood flows.
