According to the results, ① in reference family 191, the QTL affecting weaning weight was detected at 110.01 cM with an additive effect of 6.860, explaining 29.3% of the phenotypic variance; ② in reference family 190, the QTL affecting weaning daily gain was detected at 227.41 cM with an additive effect of 0.013, explaining 1.7% of the phenotypic variance; ③there was no QTL affect- ing birth weight, 1.5-year weight and 2.5-year weight of Liangshan semi-fine wool sheep.展开更多

In order to achieve the goal of obtaining meaningful results directly from raw data,we developed a robust and user-friendly software platform with a series of tools for analysis in association study withhigh efficiency. The platform has been well evaluated by several sets of real data.展开更多

Microsatellite markers are very suitable for assessing genetic diversity. Four microsatellite-enriched libraries of half smooth tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis) were constructed, from which 57 polymorphic microsatellites were isolated and characterized. The polymorphism of these microsatellites was assessed by genotyping in 30 individual fish. The number of alleles ranged from 2 to 11, with an average of 4.614 alleles per locus. The values of observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.1000 to 1.0000 and from 0.0966 to 0.8847 respectively. Polymorphism information content (PIC) ranged from 0.0905 to 0.862.These markers would be useful for population structure assessment, genetic linkage map construction and parentage analysis for this species.展开更多

Analyzing multiple populations in QTL analysis improves the power of detecting QTLs and provides a better understanding of their functional allelic variation and distribution. In this study, a consensus map of the common carp was constructed, based on four populations, to compare the distribution and variation of QTLs. The consensus map spans 2371.6 cM across the 42 linkage groups and comprises 257 microsatellites and 421 SNPs, with a mean marker interval of 3.7 cM/marker. Sixty-seven QTLs affecting four growth traits from the four populations were mapped to the consensus map. Only one QTL was common to three populations, and nine QTLs were detected in two populations. However, no QTL was common to all four populations. The results of the QTL comparison suggest that the QTLs are responsible for the phenotypic variability observed for these traits in a broad array of common carp germplasms. The study also reveals the different genetic performances between major and minor genes in different populations.展开更多
