Based on the principle of voltage-controlled oscillators' transform from voltage to frequency, the A/D conversion of ring-ADC achieves good linearity and precise calibration against process variations compared with the delay-line ADC. A differential pulse counting discriminator also helps decrease the power consumption of the ring-ADC. It is fabricated with a Chartered 0.35μm CMOS process, and the measurement results of the integral and differential nonlinearity performance are 0.92LSB and 1.2LSB respectively. The maximum gain error measured in ten sample chips is ± 3.85%. METHODS: In 36 out of 289 consecutive patients with colorectal anastomosis, leakage was confirmed at relaparotomy. The medical records of these patients were retrospectively analysed and type and time of appearance of clinical parameters suggestive of anastomotic leakage were recorded. These parameters included heart rate, body temperature, local or generalized peritoneal reaction, leucocytosis, ileus and delayed gastric emptying. Factors influencing delay of relaparotomy and consequences of delayed recognition and treatment were determined. RESULTS: First documentation of at least one of the predefined parameters for anastomotic leakage was alter a median interval of 4 ± 1.7 d alter the operation. The median number of days between first parameter(s) associated with leakage and relaparotomy was 3.5 ± 5.7 d. The time interval between the first signs of leakage and relaparotomy was significantly longer when a weekend was included (4.2 d vs 2.4 d, P = 0.021) or radiological evaluation proved to be false-negative (8.1 d vs 3.5 d, P = 0.007). No significant association between delay and number of additional relaparotomies, hospital stay or mortality could be demonstrated.CONCLUSION: An intervening weekend and negative diagnostic imaging reports may contribute to a delay in diagnosis and relaparotomy for anastomotic leakage. That delay was more than two days in two-thirds of the patients.展开更多

The effects of phosphate and temperature on zinc transport were studied through analysing the diffusion-dispersion coefficients (D) and the retardation factor (R) obtained by the program CXTFIT. The results showed that D decreased and R increased with increasing concentration of phosphate so that it was difficult for zinc to break through the soil column, and zinc stopped to break through the column at high temperature. One order equation, double constant equation and the Elovich equation were all suitable for the description of zinc dynamica. Effects of phosphate and temperature on zinc transport were further confirmed by the analysis on pseudo-thermodynamic parameters of zinc transport.展开更多

First, the embedding dimension and the delay time were obtained through this method, then the phase space was reconstructed to resume the chaotie attractor and determine the LLE. The result shows that the trajectory of attractor is denser than Chen's attractor, and the LLE is positive, which means that not only the signal has the character of chaos, but also the chaotic degree of masseter EMG is relatively high. According to the value of the LLE, the chaotic degree of men's masseter EMG is higher than that of women's; when the dentition is normal, the chaotic degree of two sides is almost the same. Then, a conclusion can be deduced that if the LLE of both sides are in great difference, the unilateral mastication is likely to exist, which means that the nonlinear characteristics of masseter EMG can be applied to predict the unilateral mastication.展开更多

The parameter uncertainties are time-varying norm-bounded and appear in both the state and the input control matrices. By applying an input delay approach, the system was transformed into a continuous time-delay system. Attention was focused on the design of a robust guaranteed cost sampled-data control law which guarantees that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and the quadratic performance index is less than a certain bound for all admissible uncertainties. By applying Lyapunov stability theory, the theorems were derived to provide sufficient conditions for the existence of robust guaranteed cost sampled-data control law in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), especially an optimal state-feedback guaranteed cost sampled-data control law which ensures the minimization of the guaranteed cost was given. The effectiveness of the proposed method was illustrated by a simulation example with the asymptotically stable curves of system state under the initial condition of x(0)=[0.679 6 0].展开更多

Many studies have suggested that various advanced electronic measurement apparatuses require that the delay circuit should have a high precision and a short delay interval. Practically, however, such measurement apparatuses are low in preci- sion and long in delay interval at present. The structure and function of a data acquisition system is introduced first; then the principle of ramp-based precision delay circuits and the digitally programmable delay generator is studied and the precision delay circuit is designed.
