This algorithm employs Gaussian mixture distributions in modeling the background of each pixel. As a result, the number of Gaussian distributions is not fixed but adaptively changes with the change of the pixel value frequency. The pixels of the difference image are divided into two parts according to their values. Then the two parts are separately segmented by the adaptive threshold, and finally the foreground image is obtained. The shadow elimination method based on morphological reconstruction is introduced to improve the performance of foreground image's segmentation. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can quickly and accurately build the background model and it is more robust in different real scenes.展开更多

In order to meet the matching demands and to alleviate the computation workload, the following improvement algorithms are used. First, resample the model n-times, putt out (2n-1) sub-models, and calculate the NCs between each sub-model and image. Then choose the maximum between the sub-model and the displacement corresponding to this sub-model which requires the sub-pixel displacement. Finally, put forward a new algorithm that combines the resampling with surface fitting methods. Experimental results show the validity of the algorithm.展开更多

We present a denoising method based on the translation-invariant wavelet with mixed thresholding and adaptive threshold to remove the random noise and retain the data details. The novel mixed thresholding approach is devised to filter the random noise based on the energy distribution of the wavelet coefficients corresponding to the signal and random noise. The translation- invariant wavelet suppresses pseudo-Gibbs phenomena, and the mixed thresholding better separates the wavelet coefficients than traditional thresholding. Adaptive Bayesian threshold is used to process the wavelet coefficients according to the specific characteristics of the wavelet coefficients at each decomposition scale. A two-dimensional discrete wavelet transform is used to denoise gridded data for better computational efficiency. The results of denoising model and real data suggest that compared with Gaussian regional filter, the proposed method suppresses the white Gaussian noise and preserves the high-frequency information in gravity-gradiometer data. Satisfactory denoising is achieved with the translation-invariant wavelet.展开更多

However, if the measurements are not reliable, the SRCKF may give inaccurate results and diverges by time. This study introduces an adaptive SRCKF algorithm with the filter gain correction for the case of measurement malfunctions. By proposing a switching criterion, an optimal filter is selected from the adaptive and conventional SRCKF according to the measurement quality. A subsystem soft fault detection algorithm is built with the filter residual. Utilizing a clear subsystem fault coefficient, the faulty subsystem is isolated as a result of the system reconstruction. In order to improve the performance of the multi-sensor system, a hybrid fusion algorithm is presented based on the adaptive SRCKF. The state and error covariance matrix are also predicted by the priori fusion estimates, and are updated by the predicted and estimated information of subsystems. The proposed algorithms were applied to the vessel dynamic positioning system simulation. They were compared with normal SRCKF and local estimation weighted fusion algorithm. The simulation results show that the presented adaptive SRCKF improves the robustness of subsystem filtering, and the hybrid fusion algorithm has the better performance. The simulation verifies the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.展开更多

The convergence result holds for the cases where convection or reaction is not present in convection- or reaction-dominated problems. A novel technique of analysis is developed by using the superconvergence of the scalar displacement variable instead of the quasi-orthogonality for the stress and displacement variables, and without marking the oscillation dependent on discrete solutions and data. We show that AMFEM is a contraction of the error of the stress and displacement variables plus some quantity. Numerical experiments confirm the theoretical results.展开更多
