Implemented with the TSMC 0.25vm mixed-sig- nal CMOS process,the 4/5 MOS current mode logic prescaler is designed with this automatic power down technique. The simulation results show that the new 4/5 prescaler is immune to the "wake-up" issue and thereby retains the same maxi- mum operating frequency as the conventional prescaler. An integer-N divider with this proposed prescaler and with the di- vision ratio 66/67 is manufactured,and it is estimated to save more than 20% of the power compared with the conventional 4/5 prescaler.展开更多

A wide-band VCO and an AFC are used to cover the desired bands. A 3bit third order sigma-delta modulator is adopted to reduce the out-band phase noise. The measurements show a VCO tuning range from 1.31 to 1.88GHz with AFC working correctly,an out-band phase noise of -139dBc/Hz at 3MHz offset frequency, and a fractional spur of less than - 60dBc. The chip area is 1.5mm × 1.2mm and the total current dissipation including LO buffers is 19mA from a single 3.0V supply voltage.展开更多

Because the fitness of node is uncertain or fuzzy in some social networks, an explicit form of the degree distribution on fuzzy fitness is derived within a mean field approach. It is a weighted sum of different fuzzy fitness. It can be found that the fuzzy fitness of nodes may lead to multiscaling. Moreover, the clustering coefficient of node decays as power law and clustering coefficient of network behavior not-decrease-but-increase’ phenomenon after some time. Taking the heterotic combinations which respectively had moderately-rolled leaves and flat leaves at middle and later stages as tested materials, the biological effects in the heterotic combination of the moderately-r...Taking the heterotic combinations which respectively had moderately-rolled leaves and flat leaves at middle and later stages as tested materials, the biological effects in the heterotic combination of the moderately-roiling leaf mutant RL(f) were studied. The results showed that (i) there was insignificant difference between the leaf morphological characteristics of the RL(t) and fiat leaf heterotic ombinations at early growth stage in that beth of them had fiat leaves and relatively big basic leaf angles; (it) the stomatal conductance, the intercellular CO2 concentration, transpira- tion rate and photosynthetic rate of the three top leaves of the RL(t) heterotic com- bination were significantly higher than those of the flat leaf heterotic combination at middle and later stages, which laid the foundation for increasing the yield per unit area; (iii) the light transmittance of the RL(f) heterotic combination in population at the middle part was higher than that of flat leaf heterotic combination, resulted in improved light interception condition at middle and lower parts of the population and increased the utilization efficiency of tight energy; and (iv) this research revealed that the RL(t) heterotic combination could not only maintain a larger amount of the effective panicles but also could present large-panicle characteristic, especially in high-density condition, and also the ability of adjusting yield components the RL(f) heterotic combination was significantly increased under different densities. This study would provide a theoretical basis for the principle of high-yielding breeding with the application of the moderately-rolling leaf mutant in rice.展开更多
Without cooperative behaviors, our society or organization falls into social dilemma situations where every member selects uncooperative (defective) behaviors, and the situation gets worse and worse. Such a situatio...Without cooperative behaviors, our society or organization falls into social dilemma situations where every member selects uncooperative (defective) behaviors, and the situation gets worse and worse. Such a situation in a society or an organization leads to violation of social or organizational rules, and at the worst case it suffers from serious accidents or scandals. Therefore, it is important for us to make efforts and take measures to elicit cooperative behaviors. It was demonstrated theoretically that altruism strategy and adaptive prediction and ascertainment strategy are in some cases better than rational strategy under the situation of social dilemma. We built up a mathematical model in order to examine how the probability of correctly predicting and ascertaining the behavior (cooperation or defection) of opponents and the mixture of (a) altruism (all cooperation) strategy, (b) individualism (all defection) strategy, and (c) adaptive prediction and ascertainment strategy affected the expected profit. Simulation results showed that the tit-for-tat strategy was better than the rational (individualism) strategy when the probability of correctly predicting and ascertaining defection of the opponent was considerably higher. As an application of the basic study above, it was explored, using a simulation method, how such a system as opening reputation or peer review in public could work satisfactorily to prevent defective behaviors in auction dealing. The result showed that the information on the handle name and the reputation effectively worked to prevent defective behaviors.展开更多
